"First class. Food and service were superb. Truly accomplished and delicious dishes. My friend, who doesn’t really care much for food, declared the honey parfait dessert to be the best thing he’d ever eaten. I had the rhubarb soufflé, the presentation of which is hilariously risqué! The rack of Dover sole was exquisite. Lots of little treats too. The sommelier was really good even though we weren’t splashing out on wine on this occasion. Her dirty dry martinis were excellent. Overall, a five-star experience. Ambience-wise, it was a bit quiet on Saturday lunch; and it is undeniably expensive. No doubt a causal connection between those two minor quibbles. However, we both agreed that it was worth it and have spent comparable sums (or more) elsewhere for far less. The team behind this restaurant are at the top of their game: they appear to love what they do; and pull out the stops to give their guests a wonderful time. The staff were attentive and kind but not intrusive. Consummate professionals."

"I was pleasantly surprised with the entire experience. The food was plentiful (they offered refills of the sandwiches), fresh and delicious. I had the classic afternoon tea which is what you would expect with finger sandwiches, mini quiche, salmon bun, 2 scones (fruit and plain) as well as 5 mini desserts. My husband tried the gentleman's tea and this was outstanding. There was a plate of fish and chips with mushy peas and tartar sauce. There was another plate with 3 other good sized portioned sandwiches. He had an olive scone with blue cheese butter, delish! Then a mini quiche and lemon macaron. We both had a black tea which was very good as well. The view of the Thames was nice. The only downside to the experience was I asked for a different table and she said it was already reserved. However, for the entire time we were there no one sat at that table. So that was a bit disappointing. Otherwise, I highly recommend."

"A good gastropub is a fantastic find, and Newman Street Tavern has quickly become my new favorite spot. Located on the corner of Newman Street and Goodge Street, it's perfect for a meal out with friends or a romantic dinner for two. With two floors, it's a stylish, bustling and intimate venue, with a team of welcoming waitstaff who make you feel right at home. The menu is full of tempting appetizers, mains, and desserts, not to mention a selection of sides, Neal's Yard Dairy cheeses, and a seafood menu available all day. We struggled to decide what to order, so we turned to our waiter for recommendations - the choice was just too difficult. The Devon crab salad was a feast for the eyes, with a generous mound of white crab meat surrounded by... (continued on Yelp)"

"It is a well laid out restaurant which is fresh and bright and in general does carry a good atmosphere. However, the food did let it down for me. Not much choice for gluten free, and when I did ask for the yogurt and berries with the nuts, grains and seeds, I received a very small amount of yogurt, and was informed that there weren't many berries as they had almost run out. I also got honey at a request. It was nice but such a small amount that it was a bit disappointing. Service was okay. Everyone else seemed okay with what they had."

"Afternoon Tea. It took 40 mins before we were served a pot of tea, which was half full and lukewarm. We asked for a full pot of hot tea, they then served a full pot of tea (for two people) with only one tea bag, so it was very weak. They apologised and brought a decent pot of tea. At the 60 minute point we were discussing whether we should leave. Shortly after we received the scones and small cakes, but had to wait a further 5 minutes for the sandwiches, jam and cream. The sandwiches were small triangles on ordinary cheap bread. The cream portion was tiny enough for 1 scone, we were given 4 scones so had to ask for more cream. The jam was more like runny syrup. The scones were all plain unlike the advertised fruit and plain. The other cakes were fine but tiny. This was our 2nd afternoon tea here. We enjoyed our 1st visit but after our 2nd experience we will not be returning."

"Service and ambience is great but main meal selection is poor so we ended up just choosing several starters which were tasty especially love the sweet potato fries with pomegranate and feta"

"Looking for a meal cooked by a Michelin star chef? We were impressed by this restaurant and gave it high ratings. While dining here can be expensive, is it worth it? In my opinion, yes! We ordered the Roasted Cumbrian Herdwick lamb rump with coco beans, aubergine, tamarind, sheep milk ricotta, and lamb fat. This isn't a place I would frequent regularly, but rather somewhere I would go to celebrate a special occasion, such as a promotion."

"We went for afternoon tea. The service was good, and there was a good quantity of sandwiches and scones, but the cakes were a little uninspiring. Even with a 241 offer, it still came to £70 for 2 with a glass of champagne. There are better teas for better value, and the surroundings, despite the live music (hidden behind a pillar for most diners) are not fantastic. It feels very much like the breakfast room in a corporate hotel, rather than a special afternoon treat place."

"I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."

"Great little restaurant. The menu is extensive and food is delicious. Cuisine is not Greek/Mediterranean as stated on this website, there are a wide range of tasty salads, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, main meals, desserts and breakfast options. They also serve great coffee, smoothies and their famous ice-blended freezacinos . The staff are friendly and helpful and the environment is child-friendly. I will definitely be returning!"

"The food was excellent and the service was top-notch. Unfortunately, the portion sizes were smaller than expected, so we ended up ordering more dishes, making the overall cost higher than we had anticipated."

"Hey, I ate at the selfridges Aubaine. I have never experienced such horrible service and bad attitude of a waiter. I have very rarely had issues with someone at a restaurant before so I know it’s most likely not me but at this restaurant I started feeling very ill all of a sudden so I couldn’t eat my food. I wanted to take it away but I guess it’s not allowed. A man that works there called Ben came to me with the worst attitude I have ever seen, couldn’t wait one second for me to answer and scream “OK you’re not going to listen” while I was feeling extremely sick which is why I couldn’t answer. I didn’t even touch my salad and it was around 25 pounds with the extra I added so I felt bad paying for it and not being able to eat it since It is money I earned and decided to treat myself to a lunch out. This man Ben told me I could just stay here all day if I wanted to eat the salad. So rude, I felt so sad afterwards it ruined my day besides already feeling ill. Will share this on google as well and as much as I can to know how unfairly and bad clients are being treated in this place. Since I’ve never had a bad experience at a restaurant I never send these kinds of emails or write a review but this time I just had to."

"to come back soon. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, the service was friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. We tried a variety of dishes and each one was bursting with flavor. The restaurant had a great selection of wines and cocktails as well. Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal in a charming setting. Can't wait to dine here again!"

"You will have heard of this place and rave reviews from some friends. So you already have an inflated expectation and it will poke your food related conscience if you don't try it. So do. Depending on your tastes and likings, chances are that you will realise that its very ordinary. Mostly overcrowded......but less than great food! I know the two don't normally go together. But that's the magic of marketing! Our pizza was a bit doughy and undercooked. Burger was dry. The pasta that someone ordered however was very good. So I cannot possibly rave about the food overall. Especially for the final price (after service charges) that we paid! But if you are after a noisy outing and drinks with...read more"

"We booked a table at Kindred as we were seeing a show at the Eventim Apollo. kindred was very easy to find from Hammersmith station. Only a min walk. When we arrived at the restaurant, it was approximately mins before our booking however the staff were very lovely and accommodating. The restaurant on a whole inside was smaller however the ambience and atmosphere when youâre there is amazing. Would highly recommend for anyone who is seeing a show at The Eventim or nearby and would definitely go again x"

"I booked Buenos Aires as my family had gone there for years and know they serve great steak. I hadn't been myself for at least 5 years but thought it would be a cute intimate dinner for my friends 25th birthday and I was not disappointed in the slightest. The restaurant is small but still creates a cozy environment where you do not feel like you are sat on top of other people. The atmosphere is truly beautiful and the staff and service we received was some of the best I've had in years. For 3 of us we had the 85g steak sharing platter (brilliant idea) and all of the steaks were cooked perfectly to medium. The rib-eye was my absolute favourite and the peppercorn sauce was perfection. The option to try the 4 cuts of steak was the best decision we made and we left so full. My friend who's birthday it was also loved her la cucaracha cocktails and was very happy to be celebrating her birthday in such a nice restaurant. We have all collectively agreed that this will be the next go to date night spot and I cannot wait to return!"

"I sat downstairs on a busy Friday night with two friends. The service was perfect. The receptionist was charming. Our waitress was attentive and skilful. We sat at a large communal table. She made helpful suggestions as we chose from the menu, kept our glasses topped up, produced all the dishes on time and was super efficient with our bill. I paid for a bottle of wine and we split the food bill. She gave us 4 separate bills without being asked to. The food was fine, the atmosphere civilised, exactly what you want on a relaxed night out"

"This place is very nice with excellent food and delicatessen but the girl serving hasn’t got a clue on what she is selling, as matter of fact I asked about an Italian cheese that she had right under her nose but she told me that they didn’t have it in store. Also she sliced mortadella half inches very good focaccia although extremely greasy. I will go back though Service: Dine in"

"my friends and I enjoyed the 3-course party set menu 21.5) and it is certainly a good example for Mediterranean cuisine for a beginner I had the supposed fresh king skallops', served in a citrus juice. a bit cheesy, but definitiw a good choice for the starter. for my main course I decided for the restaurants recommended underwriting court, confit lamb. the lamb is slowly boiled and then pressed into a cylindrical shape. the meat melts on the rim and is very succulent a good place to go for a group dinner, reasonable price and a wonderful worth. make sure to make a reservation!"
