"Very authentic spanish cuisine. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was empty apart from us, so a very quiet and chilled experience! Outstanding tapas, sangrĂa and attention. The cook even came out to ask about our food. As a Spanish national living in London, it's a treat to be able to taste the flavours of home, would highly recommend!"

"the restaurant was a little quiet, but soon a bit filled. Now I have to say if they are looking for a party atmosphere, thirty six is not the place for them, although it is ideal for a relaxed and quiet night and the perfect place for taking the elders. tori and I would like the new rustic menu with an amuse bouche by apfel and sellerie suppe. the suppe was delicious creamy and the perfect way to warm my dicks from the icy cold night. it was accompanied by two fluffy mini-loaves that had a beautiful crust. I have to admit that I thought the menu was a little limited, as there were only four options for the starter and four for the main, but happy for us we saw some of our favorite dishes available. tori chose the white crab with avocado and pink grapefruit, a very light fresh and cesty dish. the court is actually more reflective for the kindness of the cook; nigel mendham grew up in norfolk and spent his summer on the beach clam picking and crawling and then he would return to home to cook with his mother. nigel has drawn inspiration from the background in norfolk for the dishes on the menu."

"Stopped at Helen's Teashop in Burton upon Trent for a cup of coffee and a snack when passing through the area. It is a traditional' cafe that seems to appeal in the main to a more mature senior clientele. Plenty of things to choose...from but I went for a regular latte coffee and an Eccles Cake, taken at one of their Market Square outside tables. The Eccles Cake had a very nice base, almost like toffee and it went down very well with my coffee. The Eccles Cake was also good value. In general Helen's Cafe was pleasant enough but I just felt it was a little too dated to entice me back regularly. Highly recommend the Eccles Cakes though!"

"I usually don't write reviews, but I just had the most amazing breakfast and had to share about this place. I discovered it randomly on Deliveroo and had never heard of it before, but I'm so happy I decided to try something new instead of my usual spot. The menu is extensive and everything sounds delicious, but I decided to try the Bhurji breakfast with avocado, a paratha, melon refresher smoothie, and a coffee. Every item was absolutely delightful. The flavors were delicate and sweet, the bread was soft and fluffy, and I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the smoothie was. I highly recommend this place!"

"I went to this restaurant for drinks, but unfortunately, I had to wait for 15 minutes without any service. The waiters seemed busy chatting amongst themselves and didn't even bother to see if I needed anything or offer me some water while I waited for my partner to return. I left feeling disappointed."

"this use to an old favorite restaurant of us many years ago before it changed the hands. we saw the alex polizzi TV program, but since then did not have the opportunity to visit. we have booked online. when we arrived, I tried to explain that we had reserved online, but the waitress did not seem disturbed, nor did she check. she wanted to tell us that the pizza oven didn't work so there were no pizzas or garlic bread etc. it was good to say before we came to our table and we appreciate it. the food was excellent and the chef came out a few times to check that everyone enjoys his meals, which was a very nice note. the waitresses were very pleasant, but seemed to have confidence in what they did. there were some confusion about our weeping mission, which was our fault. we were not offered when we arrived, and it was only after they came for our food order that we could ask for drinks. there was a pretty wait for our appetizers (tomatenbruschetta and mushroom bruschetta) and then the main dishes (tomatenwurst al forno and lasagne), but if that is what it takes to prepare the excellent food we enjoyed, then it is worth it. we also think that we are too familiar with restaurants that almost food of not particularly good quality. overall a very good experience and we will return. Perhaps the waitress could do with a little, but more workout to improve her confidence."

"This restaurant has a reputation for being affordable, which may conjure some negative perceptions. I used to frequent the branch near Warren Street and recently visited this location for a quick meal. The prices are very reasonable, with a 12-inch thin-crust pizza costing less than ÂŁ10. The dining area is small and simple, with no table service. However, the pizza rivals some of the best Italian restaurants I have visited, such as Alfresco in Whetstone, London. The fresh and tasty ingredients create an enticing aroma that will make your mouth water. While they also offer salads and other extras, the pizza is the star of the show here. Despite the low prices, the quality is not compromised. They also make a great espresso for a perfect ending to your meal."

"Meat in the mixed grill was extremely bland and unseasoned. Lacked any kind of care or presentation. Chips had a strange burnt flavour to them . Seems like the oil had been used many times. Shawarma was alright but very disappointing for the price you pay here. The 2 stars on quality rating is a slight redemption due to the shawarma being edible. Won't be back"

"we had fattoush salat and an aubergine as appetizers, accompanied by a beautiful crisp flat brot from the tandoor style of many. followed two excellent chicken dishes, one whole grilled poussin, the other accompanied by fragrant rice and dried berries. amazing quality and worth, especially when the house wine (a 2008 rioja) was excellent and it was all cut off with a melon-finshisha under a heat lamp on the terrace. it was all great, and the service was impeccable."

"My friends and I came to this establishment to help revise for our upcoming exams. We were all paying customers and took up a table for 8 people with 7 of us sat at it. After 3 hours of us spending money on food and beverages there, with many free tables around us, we were asked to leave the premises, as we had only purchased “two drinks” which was entirely false and based off the fact he could only see 2 drinks on the table, as all our other beverages we had discarded ourselves, in order to cause less disruption and work for the employees. We had caused no disruption and were quietly working, and had spent at least £50 in the cafe. The free tables surrounding us made it clear nobody was being denied a table due to us taking up the correct amount of tables for our party. We won’t be coming to Pret again to study in the future. I would just like to clarify that it was only one particular member of staff that had a problem, the rest of the staff were lovely and served us our food and beverages with no problems."

"During our visit to Dublin, we were looking for a restaurant that catered to vegetarians and came across this hidden gem located on a tranquil side street away from the bustling main restaurant districts. Even though it was busy, we were able to get seated without a reservation, though the woman who greeted us appeared slightly irritated. Our waitress was lovely and the ambiance was peaceful with delightful background music. The food was delicious, though we wished there were more vegetarian choices. Despite its cozy size, this charming restaurant made a lasting impact on us and we would definitely revisit."

"My wife and I arrived at Jaggers at 11.40am today found a table and ordered two coffees and soon thereafter ordered two x smashed avocado with poached eggs on sourdough toast. The coffees arrived and we were asked to settle the bill at that time. Little did we know that the toast we had ordered would take 1 hour and 10 minutes to arrive! We saw people that had sat down after us being served before we were. Apparently “the crepes are cooked in a different part of the kitchen”. The toasts were ok but the poached eggs not brilliant after waiting 70 minutes for them. The table staff were fine it wasn’t their fault but come on. How can it take that long to serve a relatively easy snack? We weren’t offered any discount at all and in fact warned a couple who sat next to us that we had been waiting for over an hour for our food. Awful service in that respect and I think we weren’t the only ones as a table of four next to us must have also waited over an hour to be served their (basically simple) food. Steer well clear. If we hadn’t paid up front we would have left the money for the coffees and walked!"

"After waiting for 12 months, we were extremely impressed with the excellent service and delectable Sunday roasts at this restaurant. It was the perfect way to kick off our holiday, and we will definitely be booking a table again next time we visit Worthing. This place is a real hidden gem."

"We have been using the Kingfisher every time we visit Hastings so it has become a very nice ritual over the past years. The fish and chips is always excellent, the fish I believe locally sourced and the food is always top notch. The...Kingfisher is very popular so there is a wait of about or mins max before you are served. It is well worth the wait! The food is always perfectly cooked, and the service is always fantastic. There is a very varied menu to choose from, and all in all the restaurant's popularity with visitors and locals seems obvious and well deserved. Always a great experience. Recommend!"
"Review written by wife. The overall experience was good, the starters were great however there were a few things that let it down. 1) It took a while for our food to come out. 2) The drinks we ordered came out in dribs and drabs. At one point a drink for our table was given to another table. Also, we then got the same drink twice. There seemed to be a lack of communication between the waiters. 3) The food was nice, however, my husband ordered his steak and lamb to be medium well but when it came it was practically raw. He wasn’t even able to cut into it. The waitress was nice enough to take it back and have it cooked a bit more. 4) My parents food was way too salty we’re a family who like salt so for us to say it was too salty is really something. The waitress was nice enough to take it back and when it came out it was much better. 5) I had the prawn curry which was nice, it said it was a coconut lime curry however all you could taste was lime which I didn’t mind so much but after a while it was a bit sharp. 6) We called the waitress over again as my sister had ordered taco’s but she didn’t want them anymore, however when we called over the waitress she made it very clear that she was fed up/tired of having to come over to our table. She sighed before speaking and her body language clearly showed she didn’t want to be there. 7) The cocktails seemed as though they had been watered down. I got the bramble and when it came it just tasted of soda water which wasn’t great and so did my sisters cocktail. With adjustments to attitudes and service, it could be a really great place."

"We visit Peels about once a year, this is the third time we’ve chosen the tasting menu. We have always had a fabulous time. The format has changed so that you can choose either a 4 or 7 course tasting menu. There is now no a la carte option. We chose the 4 course tasting menu with the accompanying flight of wines. The flight of wines option was £55 each. In contrast to previous years, the wine served was very frugal. Between 4 people I doubt we enjoyed more 2 bottles of wine in volume, at the absolute most, though I appreciate you are getting the benefit of a wine description as it is being poured parsimoniously. The ingredient combinations for each of the four courses were quite safe bland, some of the textures not quite right. The meal was rescued a little by the chef’s additional extras which were more flavoursome than the main dishes. The environment the ambience were very enjoyable, though the service became a little ragged as the night wore on. We used gift vouchers which made a partial contribution to the meal (without going into detail) the handling of these was clumsy to say the least. Normally I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Peels but, on this experience given the expense, I couldn’t currently do so. In short, I suggest that Peels needs to up its game, especially where the food is concerned."

"It was nearly the only place for last minute reservation for a dinner for three in Soho. Food was good, but the choice was very limited. Moreover, wine is ridiculously overpriced and an overall ambience leaves much to be desired. We were seated upstairs but nearby stairs and the till, and one of the waiters or a manager (not sure) was chatting to his acquaintances for almost min non-stop which was really annoying as they were standing next to our table. something quid wasted"
