"I have been visiting Gazette in Putney to meet friends for several years as it was always good value and they offered a varied special lunch menu. However yesterday the food, presentation and ambiance had changed. The menus were stained and that day’s menu was badly hand written and one of the main courses was not available even though it was just 1 o’clock. When the bill for two disappointing courses arrived we found it was no longer good value.There are many restaurants in Putney and I fear Gazette will not survive unless they up their game ,"

"Last night my man visited, sat down and the beautiful young lady who sat, gave us the menu and said someone will be with them and will explain how it works. we waited about before someone came by, the...young girl didn't know how the menu worked because she had only been there (I felt sorry for her because she was obviously not properly trained). the sides were wrong, they had to send back. the drinks came after we had eaten. we then sat and waited for the bill that led to us just getting up and going forward. the young girl who sat down, saw that she worked so hard during the time when we were sitting, that she had never stopped (she is a credit for the team). I managed to catch them and ask for the bill that they could not excuse that nobody was on the table. Obviously, because she led all who went through the restaurant, she politely asked another working mate to sort the bill for us, but then unfortunately he did not hesitate to abuse them for them orally. if this is the way the personal speaks to each other, then it does not surprise me that the service is bad. I felt so sorry for the young lady, she had only one million and one thing to do, and the young lady who asked her to see the bill for us was only at the bar and did not see very busy. while we sit during sitting and eating wrong sides, where you were put on the wrong table, people who complained did not receive their drinks. it is sad to say that we will never visit them again."

"We were looking for a hearty breakfast around 1100 Sunday morning happened upon this restaurant. The lady welcomed us the chap serving up breakfast was chatty most welcoming. I had full English breakfast which was well presented, ingredients were fresh tasty. Sandra had omelette which again well presented, fresh ingredients tasty. The premises were spotless, thoroughly enjoyable experience. We will most definitely call in again"

"The pizza was satisfactory, but the service was extremely poor. When we requested water to accompany our wine, we were given a small glass of tepid tap water. The condiments, including spices, salt, and pepper, were taken away from our table and given to other diners in the middle of our meal. My plate was cleared even though my dining companion had not finished her meal. The waiter swiftly removed our table as soon as my companion took her last bite, without giving her a chance to finish or set down her fork. We were made to feel rushed and had a negative overall experience, despite the fact that the restaurant was only half full."

"Old English hotel vibe, white table cloths, attentive though ultimately suffocating service. Atmosphere a bit painful, quiet, stuffy, uncomfortable. Appetizers were great, steak was dreadful. Thin and badly cooked. I sent it back and got a duplicate of the poor quality. They graciously comped it and we made a hasty exit vowing never to return."

"we will go to Bem-Blasilien in leeds, as it is open, unfortunately it is nothing as good as it was once. no personal seemed to be a person who welcomed customers, clearing table, bar etc., therefore the service was not great. the buffet selection seems to be getting worse and worse when we go with many things that no one seems to eat, but empty spaces where popular dinge like pommes and kartoffels should be. unfortunately I do not think we will return in a hurry, for a similar price fazenda is roads ahead."

"We tried some Persian food which were both delicious. We were confused with the chicken dish because we thought we'd see pomegranates and walnuts and the sauce made the chicken look like lamb. But both dishes were interesting and delicious. The waitress was really helpful and service was excellent. Would come again. It would be good if there were some vegetarian options on the Persian mains (if I recall correctly, only an omelette on the menu was vegetarian). I had to cancel a previous attempt to dine here because of a vegetarian friend."

"Comptoir Libanais offers an incredible atmosphère here by Kingston Riverside. The view is just unique and beautiful as you have the river right next to you. The food and drinks were great. I loved every bit of them. What I loved the most is that the food wasn't super hot when it came to us which is great as you don't need to wait to eat it. It was at the perfect temperature to be eaten. Their portions were good for the price and the quality was superb. We were served by a man who was always smiling, being friendly and served in a way that made us feel like we were home. The service was also fast to be a restaurant which is something we also loved. Everything seemed to be clean and organised. I never heard anyone shouting behind the kitchen which shows how professional the place is. This is not my firs time here and I continue to like what Comptoir offers in Kingston so I will recommend it with 100% certainty."

"The restaurant was absolutely perfect in every way. We received a lovely warm welcome as soon as we entered and were seated at a beautiful table by the window overlooking the canal. Each of the three courses we ordered was perfect, with delicious flavors and impeccable seasoning. The staff were all professional, friendly, and helpful. It was the perfect spot for a pre-concert dinner, as the arena was just a 2-minute walk away. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant, as it truly lives up to its impressive appearance and ambiance. In fact, it exceeds expectations! I highly recommend making a trip to Birmingham just to dine at this fantastic restaurant."

"I avoid writing negative reviews, but I feel Roast should discontinue its high tea. It started well: the restaurant is lovely, and the table looked nice. Roast is a restaurant, busy and loud, w most patrons NOT enjoying high tea. There was no fine china in sight. Our young, nice waiter knew zero, nada, nothing about the teas served, about seven choices, all but two familiar to us. The tiered servers were plopped unceremoniously on the table w no explanation. The food was tasty, the tea remained hot; no one spoke to us again; we even had difficulty paying our bill. Roast tea was relatively inexpensive. However, 50% of high tea is the trappings, the attention, the pride and knowledge of product. All were lacking at Roast."

"The service was quite slow but the waiter was very lovely and polite. A few of us went out for lunch and had the set menu. It's a good selection of options for everyone including vegetarians. We all agreed the food was nice but lacking in spice, so ordered extra chillies on the side! My brulee had also curdled and did not have the lovely crisp crunch when you first crack into a brulee. Overall I would go again as presentation and ambience now, food and speed of service could be better however."

"I discovered the burger joint the first time I ever went to Bristol after googling for the best burgers around. I have been a few times after that and it never disappoints. The best part of it is that you can assemble your own burger: choose the meat, the toppers and so on. It's really good fun to do it. If you don't feel creative you can choose the options available. I love the lamb one. Also note that the starters are really massive! You might not feel hungry enough to handle your burger. Really friendly staff as well"

"We were left feeling disappointed as we really wanted to like this restaurant. Each time we have visited, we have experienced very little to no service. It took us 15 minutes to be acknowledged when we arrived, despite standing in front of the bar. During this time, two staff members were busy adding items to the till. A simple "hi, be right there" would have been appreciated. Unfortunately, this lack of service has been a recurring issue. Despite having to go to the bar for drinks, we managed to place our order. However, we were informed about 5 minutes later that they did not have what we had ordered. After changing our order, we were again told after 10 minutes that they did not have what we wanted, even though it was on the menu. Overall, we found the experience to be disappointing, primarily due to the lack of service. It has the potential to be a great restaurant, but it appears that being understaffed is a significant issue for them."

"Salsa! is probably my favourite Latin American restaurant in the centre of London as their excellent cocktails, fantastic food and enchanting salsa rhythms are more than enough to get you marching to their beat. The bar and restaurant can be found underground via an aged wooden staircase. The walls are teaming with Latin American memorabilia and the rustic wooden decor makes you feel like you’ve been transported to a salsa bar in the heart of Spain. "I've eaten at Bakchich a few times now and popped in with my son for lunch whilst shopping a few days ago. . . It was around 2pm mid week and no problem being seated I'd say they have a pretty extensive menu great choice of dishes! I love the laid back vibe in here and the decor. Great place for lunch. The staff are really pleasant and there's no rush to order. There's so much to choose from it's tough! We both went for the mixed swarma (Lamb&Chicken) cooked in Lebanese spices which is served on a freshly made flatbread with a beautifully fresh salad, rice and fries. We also both got the fresh homemade lemonade. I got the Rosa and my son the Lemon&Lime The food (with condiments) and drinks were served before we knew it. I've got to say that there was enough for two . . . on each plate! Amazingly generous portion sizes. We're big eaters and couldn't finish them. Taste wise it was absolutely delicious! Every forkful was full of flavour and thoroughly enjoyed. I managed to wrap a ton of the swarma plus salad and a few Tzatziki fries in the bread wrap and finish the lot before my drink and there was still loads left on my plate! What I loved about this meal was it was not greasy at all. It was what I would call clean food extremely well seasoned and cooked and plenty of it! Washed down with the zingy fresh and tasty lemonades this was an incredible meal. I will definitely be back!"

"Stopped at Helen's Teashop in Burton upon Trent for a cup of coffee and a snack when passing through the area. It is a traditional' cafe that seems to appeal in the main to a more mature senior clientele. Plenty of things to choose...from but I went for a regular latte coffee and an Eccles Cake, taken at one of their Market Square outside tables. The Eccles Cake had a very nice base, almost like toffee and it went down very well with my coffee. The Eccles Cake was also good value. In general Helen's Cafe was pleasant enough but I just felt it was a little too dated to entice me back regularly. Highly recommend the Eccles Cakes though!"

"Stopped here to escape the awful raing weather and grab some lunch. We we're in desperate need or something to drink and eat and stopped in exeter on our way down from portsmouth to Newton abbott. We were greated pleasantly and shown a table. The waitress also informed us of the ordering process folling covid guindlines. We ordwred our drinks and food easily and it arrived im good time. The coffee machime was playing up and we were informed there would be a slight delay. We were given glassess of water whilst waiting which was most appreciated. Our food arrived seperstly and considering i paid £6 for a toasty i would have expected a bit more then just two slices of thin bread with ham on top placed on a side plate. My omelette was also very runny and a bit under cooked. The size was perfect and the salad alongside was lovely. Our coffees were extremely nice although the tide was clearly out as we recieved half a cup and had to ask for a top up. Wouldn't return but that is becuase we live so far away and only come down once a year. I would recommend however as this place seems to be up and coming. Decor was very bright and cheery but could do with a clean as our seats were sticky and floor was a mess."
