The portion are very small.the price is expensive and the service is very slow.Could do better with service and portion

Staff is very warm welcoming. And food is exceptionally good, it was my first time trying Lebanese food and it was totally worth. We tried The Beiruty and veg Mezze platter, both were amazingly delicious.

We went to comptoir a couple weeks back and kept meaning to write a review as our experience was excellent I took my son out for the first time to eat out and the waiter Harsh (I think this is how you spell his name) made me feel so comfortable and helped me in every possible way. I used to be a regular at this restaurant however today didn’t get a very welcoming approach. Me and my partner today decided to get a coffee and cocktail outside and the manager told us if you are not getting food than go inside.. why? Since when this has been a business strategy to let just dine in people to sit outside.. as I used to be a regular and nobody have ever told me that you are not allowed to have just drinks if you want a table outside.. please please manage this place as it’s shameful to see inexperienced waiters ask you a thousand times if you ordered … at the end had to leave as being waiting 30 mins for just 2 drinks ..

Deliveroo order took a very long time to arrive. App would suggest that 1st driver arrived and the left (gave up). Second driver delivered food 75 mins after order placed. Unfortunately by now food was stone cold. It would seem the food had been left out for some time representing very poor hygiene standards. To add insult to injury the 2 platters ordered were missing salad. Odd as the tray the food is delivered on has a slot for salad which was empty. An obvious oversight. Second time we have had a similar issue. Delivroo promptly refunded us but the restaurant was definitely disinterested when I called them. Comptoir Libanais offers an incredible atmosphère here by Kingston Riverside. The view is just unique and beautiful as you have the river right next to you. The food and drinks were great. I loved every bit of them. What I loved the most is that the food wasn't super hot when it came to us which is great as you don't need to wait to eat it. It was at the perfect temperature to be eaten. Their portions were good for the price and the quality was superb. We were served by a man who was always smiling, being friendly and served in a way that made us feel like we were home. The service was also fast to be a restaurant which is something we also loved.
