The pittabread was served in a clear plastic bag that seemed to have been heated in the microwave, causing it to become hard as soon as it was taken out. "I had the most classic, most fantastic night here on Friday 30/10. that is the old Arabic finest style. we danced at the entrance, dj was marvelous at the replay of compilation tunes for all other backgrounds, amazing eating, and the entire staff was super friendly. "The manager needs to do a refresher course on customer service. The restaurant is suppose to be a Lebanese cuisine but had only Indian food as mains? Me and my friends had ordered mocktail and the drinks were literally half a glass, the drinks were overpriced in terms of how much we got. We ordered a shared Tapas and unfortunately it wasn't really sharing Tapas the portion sizes were very small. When trying to discuss this he came across quite arrogant and had very little listening skills. We were extremely upset the way he dealt with things so cancelled our main, however we didn't let this dampen our mood and went to the Turkish restaurant down the road and they really went out of their way to serve us good food, big portion sizes and gave us dessert which was in the house."

"absolutely nothing wrong with eating delicious. but we went to the mother's lunch. was almost the first at the place. first the service was ok, then the starters were left almost an hour after completion on the table. the children's main courses came 20mins or so into the waiting period. not only had to clear the plates, but also find out where our nets had to be. my wife was so excited that she had canceled her, so there was a certain unavoidability that she showed up. to be fair, the shnormous mgr removed the meal of my wife from the bill, which was estimated and she took the meal free to house instead of throwing it. it's a shame because eating was really delicious, it's just the service element that needs to be seriously repaired, and it shouldn't be that hard. the fingers crossed."

"Very disappointed. The manager had his mouth open of food whilst welcoming us. The server spilled sauce on my trousers then bought over KETTLE boiling Water for me to clean it. Then plain rice came 10 mins after the meat. The cashier came with the card machine mid eating and just stood there waiting for us to pay. No shisha available due to server saying it’ll be extra effort for him. Who does that? Not to mention it was my birthday! To top it all off! Highly not recommend to anybody, embarrassed I even spent my birthday here."

"Mixed review...some highlights, some items need attention. Space was very nice but one of my party had coughing from the heavy smoke from the hookah smokers in the front of the property as the smoke made way into the dining area. Lamb was superb, chicken seems to be a leftover of cold tiny pieces of dry chicken. Service was excellent and very friendly. I liked the place but the smoke and the one chicken dish were serious detractions."

"I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. I have eaten here on multiple occasions over the years and am constantly impressed at the excellent food and great service. Everyone I have recommended it to have always enjoyed it too. A huge, varied range of dishes on offer and the vegetarian in our party had plenty of choice too. "Arrived slightly early after an easy walk from Lords with my 2 blind friends. There was some confusion identifying our OpenTable reservation, but we were quickly made welcome and seated easily. They were quick to take our order for a set menu Meze and 3 Lebanese beers water. Quick seemed to be the order of the day, everything arrived very fast, initially this was good, but the speed with which subsequent courses arrived was a little unnerving! There was a good selection of cold and warm (should have been hot) dishes which were pleasant, if not outstanding, but the quantity could not be faulted. For out of towners the prices seemed a little high, but are probably about par for the area. We were made very welcome, left feeling full after some interesting flavours , so will probably return another year."

"We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Beit Beirut! I went with a group of friends before the theatre and we were very impressed by the tasty food we had everyone had something different and it was all fabulous. "I didn't dine at this particular location, but rather at Maroush Express, which is located just down the street. My friend, who is from London, recommended that we meet there while I was visiting because she mentioned that they had a variety of vegan options. While that may have been the case, they were actually out of the first two dishes I tried to order from the menu. However, the moutabal baba ganouj that I ended up getting was absolutely delicious! The pitta bread and tabbouleh were also quite good. Unfortunately, the service was lacking. The server seemed unfriendly and uninterested in taking our order, and did not return to check on us afterwards. It took multiple attempts to get takeaway boxes and pay the bill. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I would suggest proceeding with caution if you decide to dine in, or just opt for takeaway instead."

"Heading to the near Craufurd Arms for a gig and looking for something to eat beforehand we happened across Zouk Lounge quite by accident and as we all enjoy Lebanese food decided to give it a try after first checking that there was plenty of veggie options (which there was) as 2 of our 3 strong party are vegetarian. Gabriella (from Romania) was our charming waitress who seated us and was very informative when it came to enquiring about the various veggie options on offer. She recommended the ‘Lobia’ dish to me (Lebanese spiced whole green beans cooked with fresh tomato sauce) which I then ordered whilst my brother and our friend also choose veggie options and we then decided to share these amongst us all and also decided to add a couple of side dishes. Very impressed with all the food served to us; all freshly cooked, nicely presented, tasted delicious and served to us in a timely fashion. No complaints. After dinner Gabriella enquired if we’d like to relax in their Shisha lounge located at the rear of the restaurant whilst she prepared a shisha pipe and some aperitifs for us. We accepted her offer and retired to the shisha lounge. Once Gabriella had served our aperitifs she enquired as to whether I would like to take control of the music in the lounge over their Bluetooth connection which I gladly excepted and we enjoyed ourselves so much that we decided to stay a little longer for another round of cognac and G T’s before we headed off to the nearby gig; only just arriving before the show started in the end as we’d spent nearly a full 2 hours in Zouk Lounge. All in all, a really enjoyable dinner; fantastic food, a charming and friendly waitress (Gabriella) and a real surprise and extra treat to learn of the shisha bar at the rear of the restaurant after our meal. We will definitely be back for a return visit the next time we are in the area."
