"As for the food and drinks, the scones were standard at best, though the cocktail was delicious and visually appealing. However, the tea was not to my liking; the chamomile flavor was heavily diluted, resulting in a poor tea-to-water ratio. The second waiter simply replaced my water glass with still water, and while he was apologetic, he admitted to forgetting our order. The cleanliness of the dining area also left much to be desired. Loud pop music from a nearby party and boisterous chatter from an adjacent table disrupted the atmosphere. On a positive note, the aesthetics of the main hall were festive and attractive, which was a nice contrast to the distracting noise."

"Booking for 11:30 am Sunday morning. Only serving brunch, which isn't normally an issue, but the brunch menu offerings were a ridiculously small selection. A couple of actual mains and then a bunch of sides. Also, no one stated that there would ONLY be brunch on offer at the time of booking or confirmation (spoke with someone on the phone for confirmation). The waiter, while genuinely nice, seemed completely lost. We decided to wait until 12:00 for the lunch menu, and still had to ask a couple of times to see the lunch menu so we could order when able. The roast sirloin and fish and chips were great, but the pork was very dry. It wasn't very busy but seemed utter chaos. The other tables around us were having issues getting anyone over to place orders or ask for additional items (even had to ask for salt and pepper, not already on the tables). We go there often enough, and it's normally very good. This was hopefully just an off day for everyone. Will definitely go back. Suggest though that if they're only serving brunch until 12:00 that there should be more on offer. The Summerhouse brunch menu puts this one to shame."

"We then opted for the chicken and lamb shish, which was beautifully cooked and tender. However, the portion of rice salad was quite small and finished before we could enjoy the rest of the meal. We ordered a strawberry mojito, but the order got mixed up twice. Although it tasted fine, it felt a bit overpriced for what it was. Additionally, we were surprised that Turkish tea wasn’t offered and wasn’t complimentary, which are small details that can greatly enhance the customer experience. Despite these issues, I would still recommend this restaurant and would consider returning to hopefully try the chicken and lamb dishes. With a few adjustments, this place could truly shine, as the decor and excellent music create a wonderful atmosphere."

"Comptoir is one of my favorite restaurants in Bath. Having visited Beirut frequently, I can say that Comptoir's food is authentic, fresh, and incredibly tasty. It reminds me so much of Lebanon. When my parents visited Bath, I took them to Comptoir. My Dad, who used to fly in and out of Beirut and eat there all the time, was very impressed by the food. This is a fantastic endorsement for the delicious taste of authentic Lebanese cuisine. We are lucky to live nearby and can enjoy dining there regularly. The staff is excellent and the restaurant is always fresh, clean, and lively. As soon as you walk in, you are welcomed with a warm greeting and a vibrant ambiance that transports you to a different world. I highly recommend trying Comptoir - you won't be disappointed."

"Service was faultless and staff were really pleasant, friendly and helpful. Lovely attractive clean restaurant. However food was really ordinary the bread tasted like a toasted sliced loaf and the meats were poor quality. Vegetarian dish was fine but totally unremarkable. We dined on a 50% discount offer but had we paid full price would have felt really hard done by."

"My wife made a reservation for six of us to celebrate a special birthday meal three weeks in advance. We took two taxis to the restaurant, but when we arrived, the place was dark and our friends were waiting outside. After contacting the owner, we found out that the restaurant was closed due to an electrical fault in the kitchen. The owner was not even aware that his restaurant was closed and apologized for not informing us earlier. We ended up going to the restaurant next door, where we were told that this situation was common. It was a disappointment and ruined our special day. The way this business is run is mind-boggling. I may consider returning for my 140th birthday if their reputation improves."

"It was Saturday the Piano Restaurant ,Chiswick was packed out. Was our on line booking a mistake? We were shown to a corner table, the pianist was playing somebody, somewhere was singing. Was it good?dunno could'nt hear,as with the carcophony of shouted conversations health safety levels were being well exceeded.Service, though was very friendly, quick efficient and the food was good. Value too was good even when 10% service was added.Go again yes but perhaps not on a Saturday."

"I recently visited Comptoir Libanais in Kingston and would like to provide some feedback on my experience. The restaurant's location and interior design are truly impressive and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. While the starters were enjoyable, I found the main course to be lacking in quality. Despite being served on a tagine plate, the lamb dish resembled meatballs and did not adequately absorb the sauce plus undercooked, leading to a disappointing overall taste. Additionally, the service was slow, resulting in extended wait times for both ordering and receiving our food. Upon arrival, the dishes were only lukewarm, suggesting a need for improvement in kitchen management and attention to detail. Furthermore, I found the pricing of the dishes to be on the higher side, considering the overall dining experience. It is worth noting that outdoor seating allows smoking, which may be a concern for some patrons. However, I appreciated the proactive response of the staff when they noticed our dissatisfaction, as they kindly offered complimentary tea and baklava. Overall, while there are aspects of the dining experience that could be improved, there is potential for Comptoir Libanais to provide a more consistent and enjoyable experience for its customers."

"This restaurant was a bit unusual, but we were able to bring our large group of 10 people and they were able to accommodate us. I ordered the Harissa prawns and they were delicious."

"We had lunch at Smith’s. It’s one of those places where you enter and the first impression is mind blowing. The renovated building is beautiful and the location is quite unique, just by the river in Paddington basin area. The vibe when you walk in is great. Despite it being really busy, the service was super fast and efficient. And very friendly. We had the seasonal set menu and it was real good very convenient. There is an extensive selection of wine with a professional sommelier that can help you choose the right one for you, overall it was a magnificent experience."

"Well, all I can say is that I was so disappointed in the whole experience of our Christmas lunch today. We had a booking for 12.15pm.. we arrived on time, drink were ordered and then sadly it went down hill. Our food did not arrive until 1.50pm! The soup was cold (even the butter block was still whole in the bottom of the bowl), the Turkey was good. However the vegetables were so hard, my elderly mum had trouble cutting them so she left them! My 12 ye old daughter ordered the pizza to which she was given half … which seems very odd and ridiculous after a 2 hr wait! Puddings were lovely, but we didn’t wait for the coffees etc Our waitress was lovely but didn’t communicate either with us or her manage to what was going on. Tables around us were complaining about the waiting too. It was almost like they had completely overbooked and over stretched themselves. We (a booking of 5) did complain and we got all our drink deducted off the bill, only to be informed that the chef had had a medical emergency and had been take to hospital! Obviously, had this been communicated to all the waiting customers the outcome may have been very different and we would have had an understanding and empathy- but this wasn’t! Overall, I was so disappointed not only on the service, but how it left my parents feeling as Christmas dinner was their treat, in a restaurant they use regularly as I have travelled up from Dorset. I would not be able to recommend this restaurant or the festive menu at £32.95 per head. But I wish the staff member a speedy recovery."

"I was recommended this place by a good friend of mine. The food was excellent. For starters, we had Mozzarella sticks and Nachos, both fresh and delicious. They offered some unique flavored Mojitos, and since I love Irn Bru, I had to try the Irn Bru Mojito. It was tasty but a bit pricey for a soft drink (£5). However, I suppose you get what you pay for. For main courses, we had minted burgers, lamb burger, crispy chicken burger, and a Sunday roast. All were flavorful and satisfying, and the burgers came with skin-on fries. For dessert, we enjoyed Churros, Bakewell tart with custard, and a fried ice cream ball, which was surprisingly delicious. The food was all halal, and I would definitely return for another great experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating, but be sure to call ahead and make a reservation."

"Memorable Dining Experience-Thanks to Dominique! I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Old Manor that left me utterly delighted and satisfied. From the warm ambiance to the delectable cuisine, everything about my experience was truly exceptional. However, what truly elevated my visit was the outstanding service provided by Dominique. From the moment we were seated, Dominique greeted us with a genuine smile and an air of warmth that instantly made us feel welcome. Their knowledge of the menu was commendable, and they effortlessly guided us through the extensive options, offering insightful recommendations tailored to our preferences. Throughout the entire evening, Dominique displayed an impressive attentiveness, ensuring that our glasses were never empty and checking in regularly to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. Their professionalism and friendly demeanor truly set the tone for the evening, making us feel like valued guests throughout our time at the restaurant. Thank you and I’m hoping we will see you again."

"We had an excellent experience at this restaurant! The staff were fantastic, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was entertaining. The belly dancer on Friday night put on a great performance. The shisha was reasonably priced, making it a definite highlight. We chose this place for our work night out, and the manager at Lokma provided us with outstanding service. Definitely a place not to miss!"

"I booked this 2 months ahead but there wasn’t a table ready. When we asked it was like they were doing us a favour by allowing us to sit together. Of all the red wines on the menu they only had 1 available, so no choice. After 2 couples left we were the only people there. The food, however, was really good. Beautifully cooked and presented"

"I write rarely cripples, but unfortunately this was one of the worst takes I had. I was looking for a good restaurant in the near east in the opposite and I was really hopeful in the face of the experiences of other peoples that the prices are justified by a... tempting meal. Unfortunately this was not the case. Maybe it was because it was a Tuesday night and her chef was not on or so, but the meal I had was on place with a bad kebab shop and the price was 3x so much. the lamb was hard and boiled over, the chicken was perfect, but not big, and the falafel was good, but not £7 good. I'm sorry, but I'm not going back."

"It is a place that does not come in many guides and, despite these claims, not many people know it. tower 42, once the roof of Londoners (the grey tower that stands out in the city next to the omnipresent gherkin has, on its last floor, a restaurant/bar of cocktails the tables are arranged by the windows, which go from the ceiling to the floor. the views, mainly in south/west orientation are spectacular, especially at sunset, none of the other world and of course face. That is, cocktails (for Londoners) have a reasonable price that with the advantage of the views becomes a good value for money has a somewhat restricted schedule and it is convenient to book."

"The food was not at all bad, although a little salty. But the ambience and setting fro dinner was just plain weird. We went for a quick bite before going to the cinema and it was so quiet with only 4 tables including us. We sat by the window and watched people swimming while we ate. The waitress wasn't particularly knowledgeable when we asked if she could recommend anything. All in all, it was an experience but definitely not one I will be returning to as it wasn't cheap at £12-15 for a main."

"Sunday evening was my second visit to the restaurant following a visit late summer with my family who were over from the states at the time. Even though we live South of the river we returned last night to celebrate my mothers 70th Birthday. Our host Aref's service delivery was impeccable, his attention to detail was extremely impressive, he was thoughtful and made the evening feel extremely special for us all. I will certainly return again in the not so distant future."
