Best food I’ve had in a long time, will be returning, service and standards were extremely high and my mum loved it!

showed up as a fit and had two great sandwiches (bacon, brie cranberry and shropsire chicken club) sitting in the sun.

unfortunately the restaurant has changed the hands since we visited and we knew that immediately! the prices have risen and the shares have decreased. it's just not the way it used to be. the staff was great, but was close, as we had to negotiate the best. as a shame as before the kovid we would eat here regularly. we will not be back

here a few times eaten there is a good choice of vegan dressing on the separate vegan menu! the broken banana flower is really good and not something that would appear in the rule outside a fully vegan restaurant menu. the brunch is delightful and again would normally not find on a brunch menu elsewhere in the environment. the service is always charming and the building is stunning!

Read reviews for here never been before. Reviews seemed good. Both got fish as it was good Friday. Starters crab was out of a tin all juice all over the plate. Sourdough bread wasn’t even toasted and stale. Cod and chips was edible only got...about 10 chips with it. Hake tasted gone off . Service wasn’t good waiting half an hour between starters and mains and they didn’t ask if we wanted a drink even tho waiters kept walking past us. Wouldn’t ever go here again!

Went to this restaurant on Easter Sunday, never again! This restaurant used to be amazing about 3 years ago, so disappointing! Starters cold , even though hot starters were ordered.Ordered roast dinner, cold, beef so tough and full of fat that I struggled to cut...it, Yorkshire pudding burnt as were potatoes! Dessert was apple and rhubarb crumble, rhubarb was raw!!!! The bill was hefty for 7 of us plus £40.00 Service Charge!! Service slow, when I complained I was just ignored and saw waiter and waitress laughing about my comment! Not surprised that on Easter Day restaurant was half full! Never will we go again .

we have eaten some paints here in the last months, but three more couples invited that were not in the restaurant before, we can only describe our visit as “Disappointing”. the service was a little slow while the place was busy. with diners who were next to the theater and were actually slower when they were gone! the waitresses while they appear attentive, seem to forget that we ordered drinks and had to ask them again. eating was a problem, especially calculated for the prices. the prawn starter was a embarrassment due to the missing prawns. one of the brain cakes was mainly water and had to be replaced. our bill for eight of us was almost £400.00 with a 12.5% fruit. My family and I had a lovely meal for my girlfriends birthday. The lady on host was very welcoming and she showed us to our table straight away. They got us a jug of water for the table which we thought was nice considering we...did not ask for it. The starters came out in good time; we have the bruschetta, and parfait.
