"We were a couple of weary travelers who had literally come in from a Thai holiday, very late and getting close to closing time, for a brief visit in Bushey before heading back home to Florida. I 'm so sorry I didn 't get their names, but the proprietors were attending, and an absolutely gem of a couple! We were welcomed straight away into this beautiful, clean pub where clearly the regulars were sat happily at home in this lovely place. We were served up (much needed! lush ice cold brews and fantastic hospitable chit chat and convo. They made us feel like one of the family in no time, and in the short time we were there at that! We look forward to our next visit, to my husband 's hometown of Bushey, with more time to spend in this wonderful establishment, hopefully to relax and listen to live music as I understand they are known for as well. HIGHLY recommend The Horse Chains!"

This charming pub has a cozy and welcoming vibe. The staff are excellent. A group of 8 of us gathered here to celebrate a friend's birthday with a meal and drinks. The food was served promptly and they graciously extended the kitchen hours so we could enjoy dessert. To top it off, they even treated us to complimentary limoncello at the end of the meal. I highly recommend this charming pub with a fantastic atmosphere! The food was delicious and there is ample parking available on the premises or nearby. The only downside was that the beer was not quite cold enough for my liking, but that is a minor issue. Additionally, they show Euro games, making it the perfect spot for football fans. I would definitely suggest giving this place a try!

We visited this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon and were surprised to see that they had a different menu than what was listed on their website for Sundays. We asked if we could order from the main menu instead, but were informed that this was not possible. However, they did accommodate us with sausage and mash, which was delicious. Unfortunately, the vegetarians in our group were disappointed by the limited options on the Sunday menu. The Sunday roast was very good and I would be interested in returning on a different day to try their main menu.
