"Not from Tamworth and stopped here for a lunch whilst driving to a short stay rental for Christmas. Had pretty high hopes due to pictures on their social media, and was excited to see so many free tables as walk ins the day before Christmas Eve. However, was really disappointed by both the customer service and the general conduct of the staff the person who served us on the till didn’t seem to have a clue what they were doing, food took a long time to arrive and everything arrived at different times despite having ordered altogether, no one checked we any cutlery (we didn’t) or were happy with everything (we received the wrong drinks). We didn’t see anyone clearing any tables and felt mostly abandoned, only spoken to when our order was finally brought over. The pizza was very nice and generously topped with cheese which earned the two stars, but was generally unimpressed with my experience."

"Genuinely wanted our second visit to be better but we left disappointed once again! We were in the town as part of a family break and we all agreed on Italian for lunch. We entered the restaurant without a booking and waited for quite a while to be seated (enough time for my wife to go to the bank to get cash due to the fact a sign was up saying that no card payments could be accepted), multiple staff members walked past and completely ignored us. Once we were seated, our drinks order was taken and we waited around 15 minutes for the waiter to speak to us again when he asked if we were ready to order our food; we were and we ordered. The waiter returned around five minutes later with our drinks. We ordered starters, mains and three course specials. After around a thirty minute wait, our son who didn’t want a starter was becoming agitated as he was hungry so we asked the waiter if our son’s main course could come with our starters. Literally two minutes later, his food arrived and was closely followed by our main courses. No sign of or explanation about the starter. It was us who had to notify the waiter that our starters hadn’t arrived and they followed shortly after. We had ordered a chicken and pasta dish for mains and had ordered a garlic bread to go with them, this didn’t arrive and even after chasing it up, it only arrived once we had finished our main course. The waiter offered an apology at the end of the meal because they’d been busy and a takeaway order of pizzas had stretched their kitchen over the lunch time. A very similar story to our last visit here and a similar cause; seemingly the restaurant is under staffed which results in delays, staff to be stressed and ultimately getting orders very wrong. Would have to think long and hard about returning here."

"We made a reservation at Gabel and upon arrival, we were seated at a table near the bathroom and kitchen. It wasn't the most spacious area. However, we noticed a room on the upper floor was available and we were able to move there thanks to the staff. The upper floor had a larger, more welcoming ambiance."

"Great food but unfortunately the service wasn't great. It took minutes for someone to take drink/food orders and then minutes for the food to come out. If you are on an hour lunch break it means you can't enjoy the food. Our friends then had to leave quickly and we waited about minutes for them to bring us the bill after requesting. The food was delish though!"

"We visited this restaurant a year ago while staying in the area and decided to return as we had a great experience last time. We were not disappointed this time either. The menu offers a selection of special starters and mains, in addition to a small A La Carte menu, which is always a good sign. The food is cooked fresh in the open kitchen, served promptly, and of excellent quality. The Seafood Linguine, Risotto, and the special Lobster Ravioli are highly recommended. Our bill for two mains, four drinks, and some olives came to £40 per person, including service, which is reasonable for this area."

"2 of us booked as I heard it was nice and was really looking forward to trying here. We had 3 courses each and I was starving, my first 2 courses were fine, good pub grub. I ordered the sweet off the specials and unfortunately it was off, rancidly off. When they put it in front of me I could smell a horrible smell, I honestly didn’t think it would be the sweet so decided to try it, I had to spit it out. I could only describe the taste and smell as out of date cottage cheese and that is being polite. I did make the owner/manager aware and he took it away. He came back to say he had tasted it and it was fine, I explained it really wasn’t and even the smell was stomach wrenching but he continued to dispute this. His attitude wasn’t nice if I am honest. I was polite and discreet. Although he did not charge for the sweet I would suggest that maybe how he deals with customers and how he makes them feel should be addressed. I never, ever complain but when something is as off as this was I really do not expect the manager/owner to come out seem argumentative and then say there was nothing wrong with this. I just hope the sweet was taken straight off the menu as would have made someone ill. Such a shame as I left feeling very disappointed and I accept mistakes are made but due to the attitude I won’t be back nor recommend here due to how it was dealt with."

"Table for two pre a night at the ballet (London Coliseum). Super convenient friendly and welcoming staff. Lovely ambience, music. nice decor and furnishings. Food was delicious. Pasta dishes chosen. Side salad could have been better presented with dressings. Good value for money and would recommend to friends and family. Will be visiting again if in the area."

"Fortunately I had not read any reviews before ordering food from Puccini Pizza as it’s clearly not reliable with 1 and 5 star reviews only a short time apart. I found the food to be excellent with well topped and cooked pizzas and garlic bread, a very generous portion of chips and really good garlic mushrooms. If it was always like this I’d be surprised to see anything less than very good ratings. We didn’t use the delivery due to time so I cannot comment on this. However going to the premises I was happy to see it looked very clean, around the kitchen, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Generally very well priced too. I’d go again but I hope the standard remains the same."

"I was hesitant to go here as I thought of it as just another chain. My expectations were low, they will not be next visit. We took the pronto menu so can't comment on portion size, but courses for was great value. The food was excellent, everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. The kids meal was large and served first to give the little one a head start on her food. We will be back."

"We visited the restaurant for a family dinner, and although we initially anticipated some awkwardness regarding vegan options, we were pleasantly surprised. The waiter asked the chef what could be accommodated for us, and soon after, the manager came to our table and presented us with a complete vegan menu! We were thrilled! The manager expressed his enthusiasm about offering these options, and it turned out that our waitress was the talented baker who makes their vegan cakes. I tried the calzone (which was amazing!) and also sampled one of the many pizzas available, topped with three different types of vegan cheese. Unfortunately, they didn't have any cake that night, but we were too full to eat any more anyway!"
