"This restaurant is highly rated so I tried it. I’m afraid it was a disappointment. I ordered a steak medium rare and it arrived well done and the chips were “flabby”. They replaced them without a quibble and the replacements were much better delicious steak but the chips were still not crispy but they were better). I suspect that I just chose the wrong thing. The pizzas looked good. The ambiance is stark and bright and it would not make a good spot for a romantic dinner, service was very good."

"Completely horrible experience. On spec table for 2 which was available but had to wait in lounge. First mistake... no offer of a drink while waiting. Seated after a short wait. Took a while for drinks order to be taken. Starter, garlic bread with cheese. Pizza base, little garlic and smothered in basil oil no mention of which on menu) base soggy. Seafood starter consisted of crab croquettes like cheap scampi) deep fried white bait. Soggy) calamari chewy) and bullet prawns! All served lukewarm. Main of cajun pizza... inedible. So burnt. Main of seafood marinara, Oily pasta with a few cherry tomatoes. I understand marinara is a tomato based sauce? Mussels which were the only flavoursome part and of course, the bullet prawns. 3 times our server passed and saw my empty glass with out asking if i wanted another, I had to ask for another drink. My husband was too embarrassed to complain and would not let me do so. We paid for the food and asked for the pizza to be boxed for home to save an embarrassing complaint scene. Pizza was thrown away! 65 pounds for most part to be thrown away. I have contacted via email to raise concerns and no response. I have no idea how this place is so busy. Terrible food and service. "Beware of this restaurant's lack of customer service. We paid for a meal only to discover 45 minutes later that our order had not been sent to the kitchen. The bartender refunded our money, but this experience caused us to lose a group of 7 customers who had planned to stay for cocktails and more drinks. We have been regular customers at this restaurant for a while and we are extremely disappointed."

"The place is so small and crammed, people on top of each other you can’t pass between the tables. The stuff is terrible, half of them don’t even look at you and pass you the dishes, forgot the water, the cutlery, waiting for ages to pay…you cannot split the bill ‘because it takes too long’. Food is very pretty indeed but utterly overrated. My french toast was nothing like a french toast, no cinnamon, soggy bread and almost burnt. The blue latte just tastes weird. Last but not least, ‘the loo’ is just awful. It was dirty and smelly and so run down, it doesn’t suit the posh decor at the top. It’s also situated next to kitchen with an open door, a fan blowing directly in and lots of terrible smells of fried stuff. The little corridor is full of carton boxes and what have you, on top of that the afternoon tea stands are on a table next to all that ****. Is just so disappointing and distasteful. I’m never going back."

"I made a reservation for Sunday lunch for 3 people. When we arrived, there seemed to be some surprise that we had a reservation, but we were seated promptly. It took a while for us to receive menus, and even longer for our orders to be taken (we weren't even asked for a drink order before our food order). Throughout the meal, no one checked in on us or asked if we wanted more drinks. The bill was brought without us requesting it, and we weren't asked if we wanted dessert. The food was good, we all enjoyed our pasta dishes, but the service was lacking."

"We eat here regularly, sometimes we sit in for lunch, other times we get a takeaway and on occasion we’ll pop in to grab a coffee and a chat. The staff are always friendly and happy to chat, especially Eddie the manager, but also the waiting staff and even the chef will take a few moments to say hello. The food is always fresh and cooked to order as well as quite reasonably priced, don’t go in if you’re not hungry because the portions are generous. If you are feeling brave order the Calzone, it’s a monster of a meal but so delicious."

"I visited Epping Wildwood on September 2nd. The food was delicious, and our brunette waitress provided excellent service. However, my experience was spoiled by the behavior of the female manager with blonde hair, who repeatedly spoke disrespectfully to the waitress in front of customers. She used phrases such as 'What is your problem' and 'What are you doing,' which made the waitress feel small and created an uncomfortable atmosphere for us. If this is how they treat their staff, I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. It is worth mentioning that the restaurant was not even a quarter full, and I can only imagine how she treats the staff during busier times. On a positive note, I did speak with another male manager who was sympathetic and promised to address the issue. I would like to escalate this matter further."

"It was our daughters 30th birthday treat , but what a let down . On the whole the food was good , 5 starters and 6 mains , the breaded chicken though was like a piece of leather in breadcrumbs , the other 5 were good . Then we were informed that they needed the table in 15 mins ! So no time for a dessert , then the bill came with 2 totals 1 with 10% service charge and 1 without . We wouldn't have had 6 desserts but probably 3 at least , so on the whole they've lost at least another £50 and customer's for good as we won't be back !"

We also observed other tables experiencing issues with their food and bill. It seems like L'Antica Pizzeria in London is not prioritizing customer satisfaction, which is disappointing.
