"eating here tastes just as good as it looks. I really liked the retro theme of caffe with the old fashion signage and the color scheme, but with a clean modern feeling. the baguettes are very well filled, the paninis are beautiful and the selection of cake is mouthwater. the servier area is also very clean and it is only a pity that this is not a national chain, as I am sure that they would do very well in other cities and cities."

"Sushimo is a fantastic little sushi restaurant in Wood Green/Turnpike Lane with good quality food and decent service. I has previously been ordering takeaway during lockdown and wanted to take advantage of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme. The sushi rolls (maki, inside out rolls and signature rolls) all have good ratios of filling to rice and the fish tastes fresh and ofna high grade. Sashimi is also of a substantial cut and relatively good value with a wide selection available. The accompaniments such as takoyaki, friend tentacles, miso aubergine and tempura are all well done as well. There wasn't a dish I could fault on either of the two visits I made. The premises is clean and tables are spaced sufficiently during this pandemic. Guests are asked to sign in on arrival and provide track and trace details and hand sanitiser is provided. A really good restaurant and good value for sushi in North London."

"Yo Sushi is one of my favorite dining choices in Plymouth. However, I do not like that they only accept card payments. This can be a problem when their system is not working, as they are unable to make any sales or serve customers. I have only encountered one or two team members who have been friendly and helpful. On two occasions, I was greeted by a girl who was not very welcoming and seemed disinterested in assisting or explaining things. The first time I visited, I was unaware that I needed to place my order through an app, and no one explained this to me. We had to ask for help twice. Overall, there is room for improvement."

"I have visited this restaurant for years. eating is fantastic and the staff is nice and friendly. some of the food options can be made vegan on request! These include: Vegetable maki set, gurkenmaki, avocado maki, avocado handrolle, inari nigiri, gemüsegyoza, edamame, miso soup (ask for the vegan one they could also get some of the bigger rolls like raupenrolle and ask if it is vegan! as a net you can make vegan jabchae and bibimbab, which are my personal favorite! I'm not big on wein, but noticed that they marked some on the menu as vegan. it is a beautiful place with many vegan options."

"After a long journey, I came to this delightful restaurant and it was worth every penny. The food is homemade with a professional touch, making it top-class at affordable prices. The house wine was a pleasant surprise. I will definitely visit again and even bring my business meetings here. I heard they have a beautiful private area that can be booked in advance. Thank you to the team for a wonderful experience. See you soon."

"We decided to eat here last minute on our trip to Edinburgh and it was our first visit to Yo Sushi. Friendly staff and the sushi was nice, but what ruined it was after we had finished our meal. As we were stacking the bowls up ready for the bill we noticed that one of the lids of the dishes had an expiry time of 3:30pm, baring in mind we ate at about 6pm. I was really concerned, especially with it being fish, and we weren’t too sure which of the dishes we ate was the one that was expired. We checked the rest of ours and they were okay (all with a time of about 6pm though), but we looked at the belt and saw that a large number of them expired at 3:30/4:30pm yet were still going round with people eating them. We told the young waitress who apologised and said that they were very understaffed so nobody had done a belt check recently. I understand it’s difficult with staff shortages, but surely health and safety should be a priority? She removed the cost of the most expensive plate off the bill, but we spent the rest of the night worrying whether we would get ill, and we had a flight home the next day. We were there for a further 15 minutes whilst she was sorting the bill, and it was only when we were leaving we saw somebody actually doing a belt check. A big disappointment, it has put me off Yo Sushi for life, and I was a bit shocked at the lack of care the staff had for health and safety."

"Sadly I think the party might be over for Yo Sushi. I visited the Selfridges branch on a Saturday afternoon and was seated after a short wait. Food was .. not good. I had vegetable yakisoba and the noodles were very overcooked and mushy. Firecracker rice that tasted of very strong stale red onion and nothing else. Vegetable gyoza that were fine average. Service is chaotic at best and staff were running around like headless chickens trying to keep on top of things. Whilst I was eating I saw quite a long queue form despite the restaurant area having multiple empty seats. When I came to pay, the server could not find details of what I’d ordered and asked me to tell him again so he could add it up. He said ‘I’m trusting you to be truthful’. Umm.. thanks? I’m not interested in short changing you, despite the totally mediocre food. I used to love Yo, but this was a sad experience and very different to previous experiences. Time to find something different."

"We have been to Yo! before, where you take your bowls and then wait for your server to come and price it up based on the colour of your bowls. Then you get a shock, if you haven 't noted down your spend. They have changed all this with Covid in mind. There is no 'button ' to call someone. We couldn 't actually get the Help to work online, but it didn 't matter. You have a row of LEDs on the end. You order via their website, which is easier than you think. The lights go amber when your order is being made and about to be put on the carousel. You get an email with your order so you can keep a tally of your spend. You see your food coming down the line and it 'breaks ' and stops by your table, and the light goes green IT 'S YOURS! Everything tasted super fresh. When you want more, you just order it on the website again, and if you pay with Apple Pay, no need to get your card out. It 's really easy.Yes it costs much more that Wasabi and places like that, but this is about the experience, and after a year+ of not eating out, this was sooooo good."

"perfect healthy lunch on the run! I am still natural wary of franchises and automatically think that they tasteless and over price. I soon have to change my stubborn opinion if I continue to eat tasty, great worth lunch like this! Of course, in the midst of a busy business district the place was packed, but he was brightly lit and looked fresh and inviting. they have barely enough time to decide what they want to order until they are at the theke, because the great amount of employees they work on. I didn't get enough time to browse the charming series of sushi and fresh salad and just went to order some hot food. itsu serves a variety of hot and cold lunches. the travelers and the suppers are ideal for the winter months. I ordered the Thai chicken pot, which was delicious and still hot through the time when I came back to the office. schreddeded chicken breast served with beans and greens on brown and wild rice with the perfect hauch of seasoned and ginger sauce. I ordered a medium size, which cost 5 pounds and was the perfect quantity for lunch. like a child in a super market I can't resist the tasty ones who call me when I wait for my order. chocolate covered in thin maize. never heard of them, so of course I should try them. they were a little strange, but really good, a healthy version of a digestive biscuit I guess. another example, how franchises are not all bad, cant wait to try the suppers!"

"this place is by no means cheap. but today I had to hunt myself the buttons, soy sauce, washabi and ingwer was handed over to me as a falsification of individual portion tiny baggies with no container to pack them. the strawberry cheese cake mochi was still served frozen in the inner (no it should not be ice) and from any bottom covered in cherry sauce the endless refilling of tee was impossible to obtain a refill. this will teach me to stay with bonzai sushi the next time, because yos staff seems too busy hiding in the corner and stacking to actually"

"The service at this restaurant was excellent, and the food was also excellent once it arrived. However, the reason for writing this review is because the restaurant was in disarray. Upon entering, there was a broken iPad next to the takeaway section, which was not a good first impression. We were seated next to what appeared to be a dirty bar section, but it turned out to be a staff area. Cutlery and bowls were stored there, which seemed unnecessary considering there was a clean area just a meter away. The conveyor belt had very little food on it, and it took 15 minutes for staff to pour tap water onto an iPad before serving other tables. The food was quite salty but tasty once it arrived, although it took longer than expected. The chef in the open kitchen spent a lot of time on his phone or eating from a takeaway box, which seemed unhygienic. The waitress had to explain a service charge, which was awkward for both staff and customers. The food was good but overpriced, and the restaurant could benefit from better maintenance and staff training, especially in the hot section. It's a shame that the restaurant is not as busy as it used to be when it first opened in the early 2010s. It seems to be quiet compared to Wagamamas, which always has a queue."

"I came here a couple of months ago, and I got the avocado maki (without mayo, as mayo is disgusting) and the edamame (without onions, because onions are also disgusting), and both were great, especially the sushi. The avocado tasted so good and the texture was good- it wasn't overly soft or chewy. The edamame beans were very salty, which I like but if you don't like very salty food then you'd probably want to ask for it without salt. For dessert, I don't remember the exact name of what I ordered but it was basically these chocolate rice ball things, which taste amazing. At first I wasn't sure I liked them but after having them a couple more times after, I've come to really love them. Overall I highly recommend coming here if you like sushi. If you don't like sushi, however, then probably avoid, as this is a sushi restaurant after all."

"We loved this restaurant. However, although we keep trying, the management have struggled to keep the eat in experience positive. Family celebrations allowed for a meal out Yo was the choice! Upon arrival, it is (again) explained that we order and pay via the app. However, only for hot food now! Cold food needs to come off the carousel and we cannot order any cold unless it’s not being conveyed around. Confusing, but workable. We go to log in on, but there is no 4G signal and no in house wi fi. We all look at each other with thst “let’s compare phone signal” look to see who can find a network. The waitress, well trained in this area, suggests “you can sometimes get a signal from Chantry place” but confirms no in house wi fi. I think we all know why this review is heading south. We did eventually get on, order some starters and drinks and press checkout only to discover the app does not link to Apple Pay, wallet or PayPal. To cut to the chase, YO! Norwich buy a router and help your guests get ordering by updating your app. In addition, please don’t prioritise delivery drivers over your restaurant covers. Sadly, we won’t be returning anytime soon."

"We all know yo sushi. I used to be a regular there and have frequented the selfridges branch 100s of times over the last 20 yrs. Yesterday will be the last time i will spend money in one of there establishments. Yes the sushi is not as good as a Japanese fish market, and you never fell you've had value for money but the menu is well rounded and its convenient so we thought we'd grab a quick snack. The restaurant was busy and the atmosphere was good. We were pointed to a table and when the server came over to ask if we had been in since belt service had resumed we explained we hadn't. He explained that we must pay for belt service and menu products separately? while we looked through the menu we picked a few dishes from the belt, there is now no wasabi on the table? so i left the table found a waiter and asked him to bring over the condiments. when he arrived i ordered a few pieces from the menu. the waiter then placed a card machine in front of me signaling for me to pay via card before recieveing the the food. I didn't like that, they never used to charge before you ate. Was this something they have put in place to stop people from running off? because they have no staff to serve correctly? i felt like a order number not a client about to spend £60-£80 on a snack. You can't charge extra for positioning and dining experience then provide no service. I then went to pay for the order in cash. I was looked at like a problem. The waiter explain it was yo sushi policy not to accept cash. This was not made clear to me before i sat down and there were no signs available at a glance. Im not a problem I'm a customer that has took hundreds of friends and clients for a quick fun lunch over the past 20 yrs. Take my money or comp the 3 small plates we had started. This is where the manageress was called. A nice lady who has worked there for many years. i tried explaining that i wish to pay cash and that i had no other payment method available. It was a very difficult conversation with no understanding compassion or customer service. She explained that i can't order anymore food and must finish my meal. I presumed this meant that the 3 small plates i had eaten were complementary? NO she then took payment in cash for the food on the table. Simply in shock we left. I hope the chain suffers for there poor decisions with there policies. Put customers before profits and the customers will come. Treat us like a contactless payment and we won't"

"This is a charming little restaurant that only seats 12 people. The interior is intimate, well-lit, and tastefully decorated. I had the meat teriyaki dish, which was absolutely delicious. I make sure to visit this restaurant at least once every time I am in London. Update: There is now a section downstairs that can accommodate more people. Also, the restaurant's name has changed from Lingo to Nala. The menu remains the same, and the food is still excellent in 2019. However, due to some language difficulties, the waitress misunderstood my order and brought me a Bento box instead of my beloved beef teriyaki. Unfortunately, the Bento box had very little beef teriyaki and many other items that I did not enjoy. The restaurant kindly reduced my bill by £3, but I left feeling hungry."
