"A translation of the name of the shop Pret A Manger would probably be Ready to Eat . A nice take away joint where food is ready to be served. All you need to do is to pick up your preference and get it billed. You can either sit and have it or take it away. There are a different kinds of sandwiches with varieties of meat. It is difficult to pick anything specifically. Since I prefer meat over fish, I tried sarnies made of chicken or lamb. Overall, a nice experience."

"After our first visit we were only too happy to come again, this time with family. But this time it didn't live up to the same standards. Three people ordered medium rare steaks. When they came out one was clearly well done so we complained to our waitress. She disappeared with the steak to discuss it with the chef but didn't apologise. She returned with the original steak saying that the chef said that was how he always cooked medium rare steak. We said this was unacceptable so she took the plate away again. When she subsequently brought it back, whilst it was better it now had peppercorn sauce on instead of the mushroom sauce as ordered. So it was sent back again. Finally a satisfactory outcome but by this time the rest of us had just about finished. We also had an issue with a food intolerance with one of our desserts. Overall a very disappointing experience. We never received an apology and didn't leave a tip (almost unheard of for me as I am usually extremely generous). We haven't been back as there are much better places we have found subsequently that offer better food, service and at a more reasonable price."

"Visited ar 6.30PM, and still full at 11.51pm. The food was sooooo nice. And yes, it was fish and chips; but, it was the best. Opted for Haddock, chips, and that all important side of mushy peas. Food was hot, fresh and extremely tasty. Haddock fried in batter, was crispy and not oily. It was perfect. The 'Chips ', well, they were cooked to perfection. Just added some salt, of course, yo the chips and lemon to the fish. Off I went. Dine-in experience is lovely. Clean environment, spacious, friendly staff, and yes, friendly customers."

"Very pleasant first visit to this restaurant and company. Welcoming staff and helped to celebrate my graduation. I would go back or recommend on that alone. Lovely ale and all pizza's (great chef) were very tasty. The dough on my calzone was delicious (and all pizza's), however on reading the description I was expecting a different (Italian) style ham whereas I felt it was more cheap square slices instead of something like prosciutto which I feel would give a lot more flavour. Thank you."

"The food at this restaurant was very good, but the staff was rude and judgmental. My daughter, who is a veterinary nurse, was told that they didn't offer her more drinks or dessert because they didn't think she could afford it. She would never eat somewhere she couldn't afford. The offer of a free meal was declined, as there was concern it may be tainted. Overall, the service was very disappointing. Dining in for dinner was the meal type."

"We turned up with no booking, the girl on the desk was great, nothing was too much trouble and we got a table quickly. We were served by Demi, whose customer service was outstanding. I am a Ceoliac, Demi was very knowledgeable regarding my allergy. It’s great to see staff trained up on allergies, I felt very assured I wasn’t eating anything I shouldn’t. "My wife and I went here for lunch. She had a chicken, bacon and avocado salad, and I had spaghetti arrabbiata, as we are both health freaks. The food was very tasty, reasonably priced and the service was excellent. "We were visiting my cousins who travelled to London from America and they were staying at The Strand Palace so we decided to book at the Haxells as it was conveniently located in the hotel what a mistake!!!! There was hardly anyone at lunch apart from our table of 9 and the food took about an hour to come out ! Service was shocking and food average! My family staying at the hotel had the same experience the evening before so it seems there are management issues as it’s consistently average food and shocking service! "Probably the best Indian food I've eaten in the nicest place. I had the business lunch which was £29/33 for 2 or 3 courses. The choice wasn't big but the food was great . A different level to most other Indian Restaurants. With a drink and service my bill was £48. A la carte a fair bit more. Considering the location, and that everything from the minute you walk in the door was of the highest quality, it's a reasonable price to pay. Worth saving up for."

"We visited Mister Lasagne on Tuesday 14th March and had outstanding service from the head waiter Youssef Harara who had a wonderfully warm sense of humour. First impressions were that the restaurant was inviting and clean. The food was of excellent quality and it was substantial-we had the trio of dishes vegetarian and meat options. The wine was lovely, the whole ambience made for a special evening -sitting downstairs was lovely and private. The nice thing about this restaurant was we were not rushed and could take our time to enjoy the evening catching up with friends. The head waiter Youssef even offered us an umbrella when we were leaving as it was raining. Highly recommended and will book another visit soon."

"I have been Lalibela over 5 times for over 12 years for Ethiopian food. It was nice to come back after a decade. I was even happier to see they still sell the Chicken cream tibbets the best stew have ever tasted! Staff are so welcoming and patient they even opened 30 minutes early to serve us. Decor is dated but authentic and homely! Main meal and drink with injera is £25-27. Ill be back"

"We have previously enjoyed eating here and last night thought we would treat ourselves. The food was good but our waiter was surly. We are not demanding people and ordered a set menu and a couple of drinks each but it really felt like he had better things to do. At the end of the meal we decided to pay via the QR code on the table. A ‘discretionary’ tip had been automatically added to our bill. In the circumstances we would have preferred not to pay this but it seems the only way to avoid it would have been to confront the waiter himself. It’s not cheap eating out these days so you do expect friendly service to make it special. I know service staff work hard in sometimes challenging situations. However this experience left a bad taste in the mouth and has put us off visiting Wahaca again."

"Very disappointed we turned up at 8.30 pm thinking that we could have the 3 course evening meal for £16.95 as advertised,but unfortunately this did not exist as I was told it finished at 5 pm my understanding is that that is the end of the afternoon ,so we ordered from the a la Carter menu the starter was ok the the main mixed kebab was very disappointing a small amount of meat cut very thin and placed on top of soggy pitta no salad I was not very happy with that for nearly £19."
