"I was surprised by the size of the place, it was tiny. When we walked in me and my friend were not welcomed, actually when a worker did manage to appear from the dark they complete disregarded us and lead the group behind us to a seat. The group behind us, said to the waiter that we were actually in fact before them and had actually RESERVED a place. His response was shocking, just ignored and even told my friend to move back away from the tables that were empty). This was extremely rude and unprofessional. Then as we were finally sat down and ordered, the waiter told us it was no good ordering a starter, main seperatly as the restaurant is busy so we don 't have time to keep coming back to be frank I 've had better customer service at Chicken Cottage! Just rude and unthoughtful. Then when things couldn 't get worse the waiter came back after 40mins! To tell us that we will still need to order again because he didn 't get our order. Meanwhile another group of friends that arrived a good 30mins after us were well tucking into their mains. What a disaster. We should have left. It continues.. Then my friend left to go to the cash machine to get some cash out. I didn 't have a problem with that but I didn 't see anyone else told the same thing probably though we were maybe dining and dashing because that was strange). When the food finally arrived, I was beyond hungry to even taste the food, or the lack of it. We ordered Chicken shish and another Chicken dish with vegetables and yogurt. As we left, we both agreed we had an upset stomach, due to the food. Maybe not but it could be as we both said at the same time, that we felt sick after eating that food. Do not visit here. We not only arrived 25 minutes late for our booking and the restaurant was virtually full, but they also seated us and we asked for the corner table by the window and they placed us there once the other customers left. Very good service and food, no complaints what so ever. We enjoyed it and would recommend it to others. Well done

We (party of 4) were disappointed with the overall experience. seats are very close together, a window pane separating us from the other table. We ordered a bottled of wine and was charged £3 service charge (to drink it)? and £17 was added on to the bill for a tip. Food was OK and service was quick. Was asked to pay cash when settling bill.

The food was quite tasteless and the minced beef did not seem to be of a high quality. The interior of the restaurant felt more like being in someone’s conservatory rather than a restaurant, with aged furniture and ripped children’s drawings celotaped to the walls. It was definitely overpriced as I have had a higher quality meal in nicer settings in all other restaurants in St Kathrines docks although this was somehow the highest priced.

Lacking any atmosphere. Staff disinterested in serving and sat either on their phones, smoking outside or eating. Bland food, lacking any finesse. Waited a long time even though we were the only dinners in the restaurant for our meals to arrive, had to ask where the food was and interrupt the server from sitting down with their phone. Left at the end of the meal with no servers in the restaurant, plates left on the table we put our coats on and stood by the door. The server had to interrupt her cigarette to allow us to pay our bill and leave. Comes as no surprise we were the only customers In the restaurant.
