"Booked this restaurant for my Birthday meal before a concert in Old Street. Interesting place with unusual decor. Strange service too as not sure that English was native to the greeter. The cocktails are nice but overly sweet. The food is very good actually but traditional Thai, not modern. Reminds me of Thai food from the 90s. When you have the likes of Busaba these days, it's hard to go backwards and eat old school Thai food. Had a 20% discount applied and found the bill still very expensive for the type of restaurant. Portions were big so had loads of left overs. Very strange place but not good and not bad. Couldn't recommend to a friend as I only recommend very good places and this was pretty average. Having said that, it's not disappointing."

"my own and my partner regularly collect takeaways from the came sang resteraunt and eat in the resteraunt as well. tonight we picked up a farewell, came home and the resteraunt had the order wrong. we called the resteraunt and the man on the phone tried to tell us we ordered simple chow my and not chicken chow mine. we have politely said that we always order chicken meat, and it must have been a problem at its end. he was afraid we ordered a simple chow. we then proceeded to get a menu from the draw home and realized simple chow my does not even exist on the menu (as we could have and why we would have ordered it!.) we cried back the resteraunt and got the owner this time on the phone (again, we know that this is the owner because we are descendants.) he tried to sue us that we are the rest of the people. then he said he couldn't find a ticket or a trace of our order. I explained that I had the entrance before me and told him time of transaction, etc., and said they had got our order wrong. he once again told me he couldn't find the ticket and then ung up on me. I mean, I'm speechless. what absolutely terrible customer service and the height of restlessness, to anyone let alone regular customers who have spent the years have good hard earned money in came sang. Last time we visited the quality of eating, it was not as good as it is in the rule, but we thought we would try it again today, as they might have a day off." But after that we will never return. I'd rather spend my money everywhere if I go forward. I was never hanged by a business where they spent their hard-earned money for years at the end, and especially by the owner. Wow. only to prove to the owner when you read that we ordered from you when you claimed that we didn't. please see the attached photo."

"I ordered a takeaway for collection, after waiting 15 mins to get through at 17.40 to be told I'd have to wait till 19.20 and to pay cash as the card machine was out of use. As arranged I drove to collect our meals and had to wait a further 30 mins.. I understand a Saturday night is usually busier than week days but a 2 hour wait is a little cheeky, to say the least. Also to add insult to injury, the meals were at best mediocre which was disappointing. Obviously there is an opening jn the area for a really good Chinese restaurant/ takeaway that could hit better timescales."

"A few months ago, I visited this restaurant and found that there was not a separate vegetarian menu for dining in, only for takeout. I inquired about vegan options, but was initially told that there were only one or two dishes available. Eventually, a different waitress who was more knowledgeable helped me order a meal. However, I found the meal to be expensive for what I received - a Szechuan tofu dish that was lacking in vegetables. Despite this, options in Callander are limited, as I discovered when the pub no longer served food the next night and I had to order takeout instead. Luckily, there were no issues with ordering takeout as the staff remembered me."

"I'm a trainer. I and my colleague went around for 30 minutes after a place to breakfast. we were very glad we stopped here. it's table service that's always beautiful. very clean and welcoming. tasteful decor. many seats now for the important piece. the breakfast. fantastic. all good quality l. especially the sausage was very good. I couldn't really owe it. I would give him 9 out of 10. I know something down, because the size is not that big. I had added an extra egg and hash browns are not included. it was on the expensive side £11.50 for the breakfast I had with a black americano. but I really don't care to pay for good quality. the coffee was very good. strong and rich. I highly recommend it and I will call myself here again."

"yesterday evening we had a joint Christmas party, fifteen of us. from the moment we went to the restaurant we were greeted. the personal had allowed one of the party to display a banner and balloons to the reserved table earlier on the day. the food was served inconspicuously and quickly (as well as the drinks and every plate that came out was presented beautifully. one of our party was a delightful of the Eastern cuisine and he was very impressed by the food. the rest of us plebs just ate and enjoyed it! many thanks to jason and staff for an excellent meal. we loved it so much that we all agreed that we will repeat the opportunity all three months (be warned! serious if they are looking to go somewhere for a fabulous meal, this place is highly recommended by all fifteen of us."

"We were at this place on two separate nights and the experiecnes have been consistently good. This place specialises in Sichuan and Cantonese food (despite the name :p , I was told at ordering. We ordered mainly Cantonese dishes and they didn't disappoint. The fried ho fen with pork (my husband doesn't eat beef was especially good apparently they make their ho fen in house. The stirfried lamb with cumin on both occasions were soooo good I just hope it could've been of a bigger portion for full satisfaction. : Aubergine with sea spice sauce and dry stewed fine bean with minced pork were also tasty and worked very well with the generous portion of rice. We didn't like the Kung Po Chicken though no nuts and it tasted a bit too sweet to our liking. The service was excellent waitresses so efficient, food served fast, and credit card accepted (for transactions over 10 quids . Overall, we were quite pleased to find this place and will surely go again."

"We ordered using the excellent web site and whilst the page informed us that the wait for delivery would be 60 minutes it turned up in around 35 mins, whilst the web page was still saying we had 30 minutes to go! : The choice was varied with the normal favourites there but also some more unusual ones. The food was really excellent; great flavours, tender chicken, crispy and not chewy batter, generous portions and just lovely to eat. A special mention goes out to the satay chicken skewers; never have we seen such large and still very tasty skewers. Whilst we're only here for a visit we will not only remember the Hong Kong Chinese but order from them if we get another chance."

"I had just finished climbing Ben Macdui and all of the restaurants were closed. We decided to try this takeaway. My wife and I both had the vegetarian chow mein and I had a portion of chips as well. After 12 hours walking I was really hungry and this hit the spot. The portion size was really good, I was full after the chow mein. It was piping hot, crispy and crunchy and cooked to perfection. The chips were also crispy and cooked to perfection. I was more than satisfied after eating this meal."

"Missed out our rib dish and didn 't realise until we got home... Great. Most of the food was stone cold from the short journey home as well. Portion of 'honey ' chicken wings was small and instead contained golden syrup, which is fine if you like it I guess!? The shredded cabbage was borderline burnt and the 'special fried rice ' was not fried or special and seemed to be more of a broth with slabs of pork. Chow mein was average and the chicken was the only thing i enjoyed since is was so salty. Won 't be visiting again."

"If I could leave 0 stars I would. Ordered a takeaway, but the order was declined due to lack of ingredients, sweet and sour prawns, hard to believe, but never mind. I asked for the order without the prawns, but was told it would take 1.5 hours to get to Southsea, so no takeaway. The guy sounded like he could not be bothered to do the order. The money was taken out of my account and I still have not received a refund almost a week later. I keep getting told that the manager has to do it and he will call, but I am fed up waiting. Appalling service and unacceptable and theft. Be careful when you order from this place."
