"It was quite challenging to reach them. We were a group of seven, including a vegetarian, looking to dine on a Sunday. The main menu on their website indicated that it was available on Sundays as well, but when we arrived, we found only a Sunday menu displayed at the entrance, which offered just four choices: three roast dinners and one vegetarian option. We attempted to call the White Hart multiple times without any response. Eventually, they replied to my email, assuring me that the full menu would indeed be available on Sundays. However, upon arrival, we discovered that wasn’t the case. One of our group managed to get through on the phone, and was told that if she was lucky, there might be a nut roast as a Sunday option. Thankfully, the food was decent, and our vegetarian guest enjoyed their meal, but the whole booking experience was quite frustrating. If we had known about the limited menu, we would have chosen a different restaurant. While the roast dinner was nice, I don’t believe it justified the £14.50 price tag."

"I had made a reservation at Bread Bones to catch up with friends and discuss the details of a wedding. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and the atmosphere was just right. However, the only issue was the waitress who served us was quite rude. She repeatedly came to our table to take orders, even though we were waiting for one more person. When we were still deciding what to order, she kept coming back and asking if we were ready, despite us not being ready yet. It felt like she had nothing else to do and eventually disrupted our conversation. When we mentioned we wanted to share a burger, she gave us a disapproving look. The restaurant itself is nice, but they definitely need to work on their customer service skills. Thankfully, there was another waiter who was very friendly, which was a stark contrast to the first waitress we encountered."

"I would highly recommend this beautiful restaurant. it is a very welcoming place and has friendly and very helpful staff. there is a great selection of food and eating is simply delicious, beautiful and hot. we ate here two nights in a row and were not disappointed. they were very helpful in my nutritional requirements, which is very soothing. beautiful clean restaurant with a great character. I would recommend most definitley here to friends and family and most definitley come back. Thank you."

"Located on a nearby street near St. Paul's Cathedral and Blackfriars Tube Station, we were warmly welcomed after our journey to London was disrupted by travel delays. We received very generous portions of hospitality from all staff members. The interior is also stunning! Would highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a delicious meal."

"Everything was very well thought out and the individual flavours were delicious. We especially enjoyed our oxtail tortellini with prawns. We wish the portion of that dish was bigger it was that tasty. Our mains were generous and full of flavour. Our shared panacotta dessert took a bit too long to arrive, although the waitress was very attentive and aware of this fact before we even thought to bring it up. This wasn't her fault and everything was handled very thoughtfully. The service in general was exceptional. The overall value for everything we consumed was a little steep for a neighbourhood restaurant (110 for two people and the portions were small enough) but we were late booking and want to try the early bird, which is considerably cheaper. All in all, our experience was highly memorable and we'll be coming back for an early evening visit next time!"

"Booked very easily on line. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The dining area is light and spacious and the bar area nicely laid out and accessible. Very good choice of original starter dishes, ours arrived in good time and were fabulous. The choice of mains was just as good, obviously freshly cooked and again served in good time without being rushed. Can't comment on the sweets as we were too full to try those as well!! I would highly recommend the White Mare and can't wait to get the chance to go there for another meal."

"The food and service at this restaurant were fantastic. However, the atmosphere was strange - despite it being peak holiday season, it felt deserted. When we stayed in February, it was very busy, so it was difficult to understand the lack of crowds. After lunch, we tried to book a stay in February 2024, only to be told that the hotel charged £50 per night for a small dog, which we found to be opportunistic and unfair. Unfortunately, we won't be returning, which is disappointing."
