"I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."

"My wife and I went without booking on a busy Monday afternoon and were easily seated by a roaring fire (just what we needed after a long, frosty walk). The service was pleasant and immediate, and the food extremely tasty. I had the chicken pie which came with loads of veg and for the price was an ideal (generous) portion. It was one of the best pies I had in years. My wife had the quiche and whilst tasty and looked great on the plate was a more meagre portion and didn't seem to be as good a portion considering the price. We will still be going back none the less. The great thing about Brunning and Price pubs is that they do gastro pubs so well. You know you will get decent food, it's not too pricy and the surroundings are always nice. There is usually always plenty of choice for food and drink and it is very easy to cater for people with restrictive diets and fussy eaters."

"we've been here for years. I was disappointed to see the much smaller lists of the elements on the menu. but the mixed meat knowhow was as beautiful as I remember. we were very happy with the taste of the food and the size of the portion. the personal was beautiful and the building is wheelchair-friendly (in contrast to the filiale in high wycombe). we were very happy with our meal the only part was that they forgot an article we ordered when it was not busy."

"we enjoyed a good lunch at the front of the inns. although the menu is not extensive and the offers are quite basic dishes, each in the party enjoyed their food. each plate was well presented, the personal was friendly and beautiful and it was all very clean. would like to see a really good plower on the menu with local cheese and pickles. a good brot and a few ham, or even some roasted sandwiches. only a scandal that the intention is actually the parking lot is not the harbour, but there is not much what they can do. all in all a good meal, served in good time by beautiful workers. well done and thanks!"

"We live locally and have visited the Barn Cafe quite frequently, either for lunch, dinner inside or a takeaway to sit outside with after we finish work. The staff are always so efficient and friendly. As you can imagine in the peak summer months it's...often quite busy this has never negatively affected our visit as both the inside and outside processes are very well managed. We have always enjoyed great food and great service in a lovely setting coffee and cake options are always fab as well for something smaller, and they have a good choice of local beers. Just wanted to say WELL DONE and thank you to all involved, you do a great job and we really enjoy being able to visit so often!"

"Traveled the whole way from the north with the family. We we're staying in skerries for a few days. Now we're tbh not a fussy bunch but the food was cold they ran out of larger on tap and the Guiness was fizzy???? Plus we were told we had 1hr 30 mins because they needed the table. There was 10 of us so it took 50 mins for the food to come out.On a positive note the steak was the nicest I've tastest in a long time. This is an honest review."

"This is a poor place. Service is horrific, and the staff make up blatant lies lol. I review food as a bit of a laugh on TIk tok and i reviwed this a 3/10 which was generous. Then one of their supervisors who must be about 12 becuase i saw no one there older than a teenager said i was loud and homophobic what a load of absolute waffle, i was dining with my mrs and she has a sister who is a homosexual so she 'd hammer me if i said anything like that. So this is just pure deflection and proper nonsense. wouldnt usually slam a place on google but thats deserved. clowns."

"Went for lunch with a friend today. First impressions were a nice venue but bitterly cold. There was no heating on and the staff seemed unable to successfully light the woodburner, however, they did manage to fill the dining room with smoke! So on to the food …. we both opted for roast turkey as it’s nearly Christmas. When it arrived it looked like a school dinner, a couple of slices of round processed turkey, very lumpy not seasoned inedible mashed potatoes, some shredded cabbage and peas, a disc of stuffing and a pot of runny gravy. Everything but the stuffing was tasteless and colourless. The one member of staff was pleasant enough but did not react at all when I said it was the worst lunch I’ve ever had! We were not asked why, or offered anything to compensate. I would not recommend or return any time soon."

"This steakhouse is probably my favorite in town. If you're looking to treat yourself, this is the place to do it. The service is prompt but a bit gruff, which adds to the rustic steakhouse atmosphere. Our waiter, Tom, provided us with great guidance and was especially helpful in pairing beers with our steaks. Everything you've heard is completely true and then some! The steak is definitely the star of the show...and every time I go, it's consistently juicy and perfectly cooked. Don't forget to save room for dessert: the housemade cheesecake is absolutely delicious!"

"Lovely meal here with my wife and inlaws. Just staying overnight in Penzance and needed a bite to eat. We were very pleased to have found this place. Great service, good size portions of amazing food, fresh fish and seafood, but leave space for dessert as you wont regret it! Dietary restrictions: One of our party needed gluten free and staff were very accommodating Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Catch of the Day, Hot Seafood Platter, Cornish Ice Cream on Belgian Waffle"

"This place is a countryside gem of a pub. The staff are friendly and attentive. The venue is amazing with a lovely, sprawling outdoor garden and patio great for dogs! (Who are also allowed inside woof). And if you ask at the bar, they will give your dog treatos. Nice selection of ales on tap. There's a good range of different items on the menu, although I knocked a star off as the dumplings in broth I had was unbelievably salty... I dined at their sister venue, the architect, the previous day and had the same issue with the risotto there. Other than that I can't fault the Grovsnor at Aldford. And it's nice to have some vegan options that aren't the same, boring things you get everywhere. I can highly recommend walking along the River Dee from Chester to here, it takes about 2 hours each way and the pub in the middle is a great pay off! Vegetarian options: Lots of options Kid friendliness: There is a big park for kids to play on right behind the pub. I think there was a tractor in the pub garden for children to play on too (obviously not a working tractor)."

"Lovely pub m/hotel with friendly locals and very helpful and attentive staff. Food menu is excellent and varied with something for everyone. I had the chicken and ham pie and the portion was large and delicious. The room we had was average with a soft and quite uncomfortable mattress and a shower that was not the best. Also the floor creaked a lot when the people above us walked around so get a top floor room if you can. Overall I’d recommend this place."

"The restaurant was not busy when we arrived at 6.15. The service was excellent as was the food. We really enjoyed our chicken liver pate as a starter and my friend enjoyed the Welsh rarebit, served on chunk of baguette. The fried fish is excellent, the lightest, crispiest batter I've tasted, served with mushy peas, chunky chips and tatare sauce. I had no room for dessert but my friend enjoyed the Belgian waffle and ice cream! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free parking lot"

"I took my partner to this restaurant for their birthday, but unfortunately the steak we wanted was not available. We then ordered another steak, only to be told they were out of that as well. Despite being the only customers in the restaurant, the service was not very good. We had to leave and find another place nearby to celebrate my partner's special day. Overall, it was a disappointing end to what was supposed to be a nice birthday dinner."

"Clean, spacious welcoming Located on the main road and so easy to find. There's no on site parking or adjacent parking facilities; but there's an NCP parking lot on the road opposite, but on Sunday we found free parking nearby. Rest room facilities are also available, but just for customers. Ice cream was delicious quantity per scoop was more generous than compared to most other places! And the waffle cone was scrumptious also. Lots of options, both in flavours but also ice creams vs. sundaes vs. shakes as well as brownies, waffles and hot and cold drinks. Decor felt a bit typically American; 70s nostalgia!? Staff were polite, helpful and welcoming Overall, very impressed by the BR in Edinburgh!"

"Accidentally turned up here instead of The Vine in Barfield with our elderly mother. The proprietor Nicky was very accommodating and we were seated alone at the opposite end of the bar. Sadly the fire wasn’t working, so a little chilly for a 90 year old. The food whilst limited was very nice. We chose the roast beef. It would have stayed warmer though if the plates had been heated first. The mulled wine was warm and pleasant. Unable to make a cappuccino, their normal coffee was very nice. The crumble ordered for our mum was boiling hot. We returned it and asked that it be placed in a cooler bowl so could be eaten. The hand dryer in the ladies toilet was broken and no option for any hand towels or alternatives. Nicky tried her hardest to make our visit pleasant and went out of her way to make sure we got her back safely to our car on the busy road/path covered in snow. Just feel the whole pub was tired and in need of updating."

"I stopped by for food but was informed that there were no available tables due to quiz night, even though the restaurant was empty. We decided to go down the road to the Zetland for drinks and then had a meal at the Rising Sun. As we walked back past the restaurant, it was still empty. It seems they may not welcome campers on quiz night. Our experience was disappointing, as we ended up spending our money elsewhere. They were not willing to accommodate us, even though we would have been happy to sit at the bar or in the tap room. The response we received from the staff seemed defensive and unwelcoming. Despite this, we had a great meal and drinks at another establishment nearby. It seems like the issue lies with their kitchen staff's inability to handle a few extra customers. Overall, we were not impressed with the service or atmosphere."
