"We had a wonderful meal with fantastic service at this restaurant. We loved the Rindsbrisket Tacos, which were great as an appetizer for two. The main course was delicious excavated chicken on a Belgian waffle with honey mist sauce. The cocktails were also very good. Thank you for a great experience. We recommend trying this restaurant!"

"Out for dinner with Sheena last night and it was very good. We had the high tea menu, which finishes at six o 'clock. Sheena had fish and chips, recommend, Jacqui had the roast of the day (pork) recommend, Derek had the steak pie (made in house with flaky pastry, recommend, and I had the smoked cheese and bacon macaroni. All followed by scones with jam and cream and wee assorted cakes (chocolate size) and tea/coffee. Attentive but not intrusive staff, lots of smiling faces so rare in the hospitality industry nowadays. Very nice and quite Olde Worlde . We 'll have to have lunch there."

"My husband and I had lunch at this restaurant on Sunday, 17th December with my son, son-in-law, and three grandsons. We live in Kent and they live in Redditch, so it was a bit of a journey to get there, but it was definitely worth it! We had a wonderful table and the food was excellent, with something for everyone, even my very picky 13-year-old. What made the experience even more special was our server, Summer. She was a delightful and pleasant young lady who was attentive without being intrusive. She made sure we had everything we needed, asked if there was anything extra we wanted, and served each course with a smile and professionalism. I realized when paying the bill that no service charge was added, so I wanted to leave a tip to show my appreciation for the great service. Unfortunately, I only had a card and no cash, so I couldn't leave a tip. I wanted to show my appreciation for Summer's excellent service, so I decided to write this review to let her know. Well done, Summer! You helped make our lunch very special and I am grateful for your outstanding service. Sly Cotterill."

"Booked for 7 of us last Sunday 23/2/20. As so many have stated just not enough veg and limited choice. Only roast potatoes were on offer along with cubed swede, sliced carrot and broccoli and as mentioned above it was in short supply. We all left feeling hungry. The service was also very slow that day waiting ages for our drinks to be brought and almost 40 mins to get our meal. It’s a lovely venue with a pricey Sunday lunch tag for very little of it."

"A great location with good views of the busy world outside. Very popular with a range of seating types. A menu that is both item and time limited. My seat was very worn and the table and window surround were spattered with food stains, etc. Very noisy and a child screaming added to the communal feeling, but not one of relaxation. The friendly staff brought my food to the table and prices were fine. My scone was excellent in composition, but a little stale and no butter. Coffee was fine but the milk was cold, very cold. Lots of adverts for local events so the cafe is very much part of the community."

"Contacted Alison ahead of time requesting a vegan meal, and gave an idea of what I was wanting, also explained we needed wheelchair access and a quiet table. Alison was very responsive and helpful with our email request. We were greeted and looked after by Katy who is a friendly and helpful front of house staff member. My partner enjoyed his steak pie and sticky toffee pudding. Thank you to the chef for making delicious food. My vegan meal was awesome, The music was very chilled and the atmosphere so relaxing we didn't want to leave. We moving to the area and thrilled to know this is going to be one of our local watering holes. Thank you to all the staff."

"We have had two meals here, lunch which was excellent and the Christmas menu which was disappointing. The lunch was superb and was our first visit, we had baguettes with salad and chips and they were delicious with plenty of filling. the pub is a proper pub with tables tucked away and very cosy. We booked christmas lunch of this basis and brought some friends and were disappointed. Not with the standard of the food which was good but that half of the menu was not available, specifically the bits we wanted!! It has not put us off eating there but we would think again on a special night"

"We decided to dine at this restaurant because the hotel next door had limited gluten-free options. The server provided us with a food allergy card to ensure our safety. The menu clearly marked gluten-free items, making it easy to identify. I had several delicious options to choose from and ended with the nachos topped with pork, which were fantastic."

"This pub exceeded my expectations. It is a charming, cozy spot in the countryside with a wonderful selection of memorabilia decorating the interior. It seems like it used to be a popular live music venue given the equipment they still have. I had a fantastic time celebrating a quick birthday drink with my partner."

"The Castle inn at the end of Ramsey Village, Harwich is a lovely dog friendly pub. The pub has it's own dog, Peaches, but she stays behind the bar. The staff were very attentive to Rafs, in that when I said he was very nervous of other dogs, they warned customers respectfully when they came in. We opted for 3 from their Tapas menu, a very reasonable 3 for £13. We had the halloumi, which was a very generous portion size for the money and well cooked. We also had a generous portion of whitebait and the pork belly bites. They have a great selection of flavoured Gins and Rums if that floats your boat. We enjoyed a beer, and my husband sampled the Dark Cherry Kraken, which he enjoyed. They have outdoor space, in fact they have a reasonably priced campsite at the rear. They have plenty of space in the bar and restaurant, with a fire (although it was good weather so it wasn't lit). They have a TV and they do show football (sky sports). They also have a big projector, which I assume they use for big events. The toilets are very clean, and a nice touch is that they have body spray and hand cream for customers to utilize. I will definitely visit The Castle Inn again as my experience was very good."

"Thin crust pizza and uniquely, crispy all the way through. Good pastas but avoid the crab, which wasn’t fresh. Also avoid so called fresh juices, all from concentrate. Vending machine quality coffees. Quick and pleasant service from the owner, which was a relief as we did not really know what to expect after reading his vituperative responses here and also knowing that, whenever they feel like it, this restaurant shuts early and even stays closed without notice, outside lockdown periods. We were here with friends who live nearby (third try, as restaurant was not open during stated times on previous 2 attempts) but would return regularly if local."

"Went for again for lunch today and it was the same great service and good value food. Tried a pizza myself and it was great, bit more cheese than I am used to but still a good pizza. This was my first bought pizza for many years as an owner of quite a few pizza ovens of various styles then I prefer to make my own from scratch but this one was very good, nice browned crust, not overloaded with toppings and very tasty. The others enjoyed there fish and chicken fillets with nice batter and freshly fried chips. Got to be the best place in Dyce for lunch."

"First thing you'll notice when you visit The Fat Boar is the staff, who are friendly and seem eager to make your stay an enjoyable one. The inside is well decorated, and there's outside seating too, including a new construction of covered booths that provide ventilation but also have TVs, and heaters and blankets if it gets cold. Loved these (although better suited for drinks than food, as the tables are a bit too low to eat off). There are decent wine and cocktail menus, and a small but select choice of draught beers/ciders/ales on tap. And then the food. It's a pub, so it's pub food. But it's really nice pub food, and often as a twist that puts it above your standard pub grub! Overall, i really enjoyed my visit, and you will too!"

"The experience wasn't as enjoyable as a Sunday carvery. There were two small children in the pub who seemed to be there because someone from the staff didn't want to arrange childcare, so they brought the kids to work instead. I almost ran into one of them while inquiring about where to sit. I wasn't very impressed; I suppose the locals have become accustomed to children being around. The price per person was between £20 and £30."

"Amazing experience here, I ate a wonderful fish chips with a local beer of course. It was awesome, one of the best I ate so far, highly recommend ! Inside it's an cool pub, very traditionnal, lots of space, but a bit crowdy (just check if there's a game on tv before you go if you want to be more chill . Even tho it was one of my favorite place in Edinburgh, can't wait to visit again :"

"My father and I arrived in a very spacious and sunny Sunday expected to have Sunday lunch only to find no room at the Inn ... But, the nice waiter allowed us to sit in a reserved area for a christen while we were away for a certain time. Very grateful for this, since they have become from other places in similar positions. Traditional grub pub food with very colorful vegetables served separately. We both had roasted beef but found the meat a little difficult, otherwise it was nice. The staff was friendly and pleasant. We did not see much of the surroundings as we were on the left of the main restaurant but so we saw it seemed bright and pleasant."

"We hit the Wheatsheaf on a Saturday evening after we'd found other pubs shut their kitchens. It's an honest town pub, kept St Austell Tribute pale ale well, and had a straight-forward menu. It's not a foody pub, it's not a football-on-TVs- everywhere pub, it's...got a petanque patch, a giant chess set and a thoroughly relaxed attitude. I felt at home there, and not out of place, as one can find in some small places. We had filled jacket potatoes with our choice of fillings. They were freshly cooked and not re-heated from days ago, and on a hot evening away from home, the Wheatsheaf shone. Oh, it's not desperately modern or quaint or , it's an honest town pub. Recommended."

"Probably one of the most disappointing meals we have had out in a long time and very expensive. We had two dirty glasses which when sent back with a full glass of contents was simply replaced for an empty one. The steak was expensive, over cooked and a few sprigs of watercress passed off as salad. We really wanted to like this place as it is nice inside and we like independent places but will avoid in the future."

"A friend from Kilmarnock had constantly told me that I needed to try the Wee Train in Galston, but it just happened to be in a area I never really find myself in. After a day out in Lanark, I had planned to eat there, but the kitchen of the place I had planned was closed for the day, so decided to make my way back to Ayrshire, and while getting into the car I recalled that I would be passing by Galston, so perfect chance to head to the Wee Train. Lovely old style village pub that has been done up in a way to give it a cozy setting, but keep its old school charm. Staff are super friendly and will go right out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Not the biggest menu, but more than enough to find something for your taste, and they do a excellent daily specials menu to select from. Had the Haggis Scotch Egg as a starter and the Wee Train Burger as a main, along with a pint. All freshly prepared in no time, and really tasty. Regret putting off coming here for so long, but its worth going out of your way to visit here for a good meal."
