"Booked for 7 of us last Sunday 23/2/20. As so many have stated just not enough veg and limited choice. Only roast potatoes were on offer along with cubed swede, sliced carrot and broccoli and as mentioned above it was in short supply. We all left feeling hungry. The service was also very slow that day waiting ages for our drinks to be brought and almost 40 mins to get our meal. It’s a lovely venue with a pricey Sunday lunch tag for very little of it."

Despite acknowledging their own shortcomings in service, the hotel did not provide the best experience. However, they did make up for it by adjusting the price accordingly. The service received a 2 out of 5 rating, while the location scored a 5.

Come on Google. We visited for a meal, not a stay. Split the survey. Food drinks: Sunday lunch. I enjoyed it greatly. Created with care and flair. My stepson, one of our group, (a chef) would have done it differently, of course! He, more or less, approved. The service was performed so well. No hesitation in returning. View menu

Nice location. Nice enough hotel, fairly budget. Rooms horrendous and overpriced. Bed was uncomfortable. Bright lights from outside shining into room all night. Wedding party music blaring. Bathroom probably up there with worst I've stayed in. £170 is a strong price for that experience. Breakfast over the road was nice. Wouldn't stay again. Cowbridge itself is a nice pleasant place to visit. Rooms: 1

Awful, awful, awful. Whilst waiting for our table we found 2 empty tins of cat food under the sofa in the bar , pointed this out to a member of staff who removed them but seemed non plussed !!!, food v poor , meat tough , pudding tasteless, overpriced, service dreadful. Just wish i had read all the terrible reviews prior to booking, avoid this hotel to eat at all costs, don't know how they stay in business.
