"What can I say my family and I had the rustic bread with a filling which comes with Coleslaw and tortilla chips which I must say was not cheap for a mere sandwich we put our order in only to be told when they placed it in front of us they had run out of coleslaw but instead gave us some salad first of all they must have known they had no Coleslaw when they took our order and you do not presume we want salad the bread was dry and stale the chutney was like a running liquid which tasted full of sugar. The tortilla chips were stale too had no flavour at all they must have been the cheapest of cheap chips. We were the last people in there before the placed closed and I guess we just got the leftovers o and another thing salad consists of lettuce tomatoes cucumber onion and peppers especially the price we paid all we had was a little bit of lettuce and a slice of tomotoe no onion or cucumber call that a salad I had to go ask for some onion which was dried up. The waitress who served us was I thought rude and we were an inconvenience because we arrived not long before closing time will never go to that place again my sister complained and we should have got a reduction in our bill but that did not happen total rubbish how easy is it to make a nice sandwich with FRESH ingredients."

"Food is OK, chilled white wine isn 't chilled enough. Busy pub in a lovely area...main issue is the staff...they are all fairly officious and terse...except one young lady behind the bar who was smiley and great. When you have finished eating your plate is whipped away in a nano second without any interaction. I did try and said to the guy who took my starter plate.... 'really enjoyed that ' I said....the response was 'order some more then '. Nice. How about 'Glad you enjoyed it will you be ordering a main course 'The couple and I on the next table giggled as their plates were whisked away whilst they we still chewing there last mouthful. I know this is a chain and therefore the staff probably aren 't invested in the business bit think it could be a much better experience. Probably being a bit hard on the staff as this is obviously a management problem...or lack of it.l"

"We received excellent hospitality and food at a charming country pub. After a friend recommended it, we decided to give it a try and were not disappointed. Every aspect of the Sunday Lunch service was outstanding: the staff were knowledgeable and the Landlord was welcoming, and the food was exceptional. We had booked for 2pm and our Beef Roasts were served piping hot within 10 minutes. The desserts were also delicious: the homemade Sticky Toffee pudding and Belgian Waffle were a perfect end to the meal. We highly recommend a visit to this pub, especially if you're a cyclist as it's an easy 8km ride from Bishop's Stortford with mostly flat terrain."

"Five of us went for Sunday lunch after reading the 5-star reviews. The pub and staff were very nice, located in a rural area. However, more signs are needed to direct customers to the car park, as some cars were left on the road. Unfortunately, the Sunday roast did not meet the high standards mentioned in the reviews. The beef was tough, the mashed potatoes were sloppy, and the roast potatoes were not crispy but more like boiled potatoes covered in fat and herbs. Additionally, there was only a small dish of peas and carrots for five people, which was not enough. The sticky toffee pudding dessert was tasty, but there was too much sauce on two servings and very little on the other. Also, they could not offer any options for a non-dairy person, despite knowing about it when booking. All of us agreed that it was not good value for money."

"The Vine Inn Pub and Tearooms may be found at the end of Vine Passage. It's Honiton's equivalent to Platform 9¾ in Harry Potter. At one end is the bustling High Street of our special little Town, and at the other is the peaceful Oasis of the Vine Inn's Garden and it's Warm Friendly Inn and Tearoom. The Vine is homely and unpretentious and renowned for its Home Cooked Lunches and local Otter Ales served from barrels behind the bar. Most folk prefer to sit in the Pub area and order from the Bar, rather than in the more Spartan Tearoom itself. Oddly, they don't serve Bacon or Sausage Sandwiches which would probably increase their business, so our preferred Breakfast/Brunch order is their Cheese on Toast, which is delicious and so very moreish. Their Home made Cottage Pie is also highly recommended. Tip If you order a pot of Tea, always ask for a jug of Hot Water as well. The only negative is their tasty but overpriced Deserts at £7.25. The entrance to Vine Passage is between the Specsavers Shop and Desire Jewellers, but please keep it to yourself!"

"lil afrikana is the smaller, business-oriented two-g of the Afrikana brand with larger restaurants in birmingham, cardiff, blackburn, dalston, leicester and derby. it is the only one of its kind. as such, there are only 6 tables for immersion. the menu is a smaller selection of the normal restaurants, but still has all its most important core offers. the location is located on the high road in aldridge with parking right in front of it. the interieur and outer of the ortes was beautiful with beautiful touches on the wall, including a grazal outline of the African continental and the customized glass lighting. when I came to the place, I could immediately feel the smell in the air of this tastefully grilled chicken. the prices are very reasonable and cheaper in view of the situation as nandos and on a par with his next competitor pepes piri piri piri piri. they also do delivery over just eat that I observed when it was. main butterfly chicken with fries I decided because I didn't want to mess with the bones today. I chose mixed peri peri taste, which is their medium flavor. the size was bigger than expected, which was a good thing. the chicken inside was juicy without it being dry. the mixed peri had a small and sunken kick. overall it was very good. fries were well salted and crispy. page plan I love a planin. this sweet juicy taste. that was obvious today. it is not as sweet as some Jamaican takeouts or restaurants, but it was beautiful either away. the location also makes floorless drinks for £2.95, where they can refill as often as they want. Among the drinks are sunkist lemon lime, sunkist orange, vimto and vimto still, pepsi diet and pepsi. glass bottles are also available if they prefer. it is pointed out that there is no ice dispenser, but the drinks are suitable for cooling. I was immediately greeted by the host, who was kind to her wise and although I ask some about the menu that they were unsafe, they were able to get the answer immediately. toilets and location was clean and well maintained. Overall the situation impressed me and I will definitely visit again, as it is nice that it is a bit more peaceful than its main restaurant counterpart."

"The place was welcoming and the staff were very nice but the food really let it down. I ordered the Chicken Pasta Alfredo and it came with macaroni noodles that were thin like the ones you get in instant pasta pots and were either overcooked and mushy or reheated, overall it was bland. Though I must say the garlic bread that came with it was to die for! The food really didn't condone the price and I felt a bit ripped off by it but the staff made the experience a lot better so it feels right giving three stars still despite what I didn't like about the food."

"Greeted well by (I think Katie), Looked after by every member of staff we encountered. Piping hot beautiful food, still at 5pm (Which is rare at the end of a carvery) The meat was well prepared and of a high quality, the beef in fact was one of the best I’ve ever had. I then had cheese cake dessert, again up there it’s one of the best. I can’t recommend enough, Go early to avoid disappointment, and go hungry!!! Or you wont fit it all in,(they’re not shy on the portions) As we left I overheard the chef to the kitchen staff, briefing them, and pretty inspiring toward them, And then I heard the owners asking the waitress is she getting home safe is someone coming for her, So a family run business that seemed to extend the family to include the staff, As a business owner, you’ve no idea how important this mens to me. If we’re in the area again we will return x"

"We had a wonderful experience at The Railway when we met up with friends. The Sunday carvery was outstanding, with fresh, plentiful options and great value for money. The dining room is spacious and bright, leading out to a renovated beer garden with a children's play area and even chickens and ducks. We enjoyed a delicious pint of Pedigree expertly poured by the landlord, and the staff worked tirelessly to ensure our visit was enjoyable. We highly recommend The Railway and look forward to returning in the future."

"I recently ordered a Mr. Whippy sundae from Uber Eats and was shocked to find it filled with ants. When I called customer service to complain, they insisted it was just sprinkles and rudely told me not to order from them again. This was the first time in my life I experienced such disgusting food. I am traumatized by the whole experience. The service, food, and atmosphere all received a rating of 1. Delivery Type: Other Price Range: £1-10"

"we hired the platform lounge for a surprise 60th. we have previously used the hall for a surprise 30th and thinks it’s a brilliant hall for a function. the decor is modern and clean. the buffet food tasted great and the team working on the night were so helpful and nice. they offered to set the hall up in advance if we dropped the stuff off and the price to hire the hall was reasonable. They also provide a DJ you pay so you aren’t stressing about the other details. we had a great night and i’m sure for any further functions we have in the family we will use. thanks so much from the Steins"

"Me and my partner visited The Secret Garden yesterday and were too late for breakfast but in time to see people receiving what looked like superb cooked breakfasts. They’d sold out, but that wasn’t a problem my partner had a delicious burrata caprese salad, and I had one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten in my life. It was a generous, substantial serving for both of us so we were glad we arrived hungry. I live in Cardiff, where we are spoiled for great cafes and restaurants, and The Secret Garden is a match for any of them. I’d love to go back for the breakfast sometime but I would be happy to visit this little gem in Newport any time. Oh, it’s dog friendly and the people there are very welcoming. Strongly recommended."

"We thought we would give this pub/ campsite a try as we wanted to cycle the tissington trail we booked onto the campsite at the back for £25 a night. We have a VW T6 Camper van. Positives: The pub is set in a lovely village has a cozy fire up the chimney and serves great food the chips were amazing!! The campsite pitches are spacious and it was quiet at night. Negatives: the shower facilities were in need of renovation they were clean but not heated and nowhere to change in privacy the shower itself was hot but the little block was FREEZING. For £25 a night we expected better to be honest the washing up facility was the same unfortunately looked like it needs a refurb. This is why we can only give 3 stars. A great tip for the pub would be if your touring customers are paying £25 a night then maybe offer them a discount off their food bill if they eat with you…. Most other pubs with campsites do this. We did enjoy our time here but because of the primitive shower facilities would not come back for camping."

"After completing day 4 of hiking the West Highland Way, we stayed at the Tailrace Inn. Checking in felt like finding an oasis in the desert after a tiring day on the hills. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, perfect for relaxing tired legs. We had a delicious and filling dinner at the bar in the evening, where there was a lively and vibrant atmosphere. The next morning, we had an equally fantastic breakfast that prepared us well for the final stretch of our hike. They also had great vegan options available. The staff were all extremely friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you!"

"Went here with friends and enjoyed our dessert. We were served quickly and it was very tasty, but the music in there was a little loud which was a bit irritating. Then at the end Vikas asked if we would leave a review and use his name, which we said we would do but we didn't realise he expected us to do it straight away. We were waiting for the bill and he kept walking past us, so after 15mins we asked if we could pay as we were waiting to leave. He asked us if we had left a review yet, of which we were honest and said we hadn't but would later (I don't want to be sitting on my phone when I have company). It was quite uncomfortable that it seemed we were expected to leave a review in order to leave. That spoilt the experience for me and puts me off going back"

"Wow…where to start!! I suppose at the top…seriously who is running this place?? So poor. We went here as out for drive and was such a let down. Looked ok outside but inside was full of clutter. The menus are so dated and cluttered with silly board all ver the place. Its 2018 ppl stop cluttering menus!! The place looks like hasn’t been cleaned in years and old run down posters still on wall. Staff was loads of them but didn’t really smile or engage….looked busy on phones. We tried to ask a few questions about products but they didn’t seem care or be capable of answering. Do I even have to give one star?? I think anyone who sees my previous reviews can tell its hard for me to give bad reviews like this. Its been a while since I reviewed on TA but this was so bad it needed to be done. Management or lack of clearly needs sort this out!! Id be embarrassed. Eventually got an ice cream waffle cone…and even quality was poor…..what started as a nice family treat ended up a mess of poor quality and poor customer care."

"Stopped in for a pot of tea around 08.30 Saturday morning. Staff inattentive, too busy chatting amongst themselves. Drank first cup of tea. OK. When I poured the milk the second time I noticed the jug was absolutely filthy inside. I called the waitress to point it out and her reply was it 's not my fault, I don 't do the washing up . She offered me more tea but I couldn 't run the risk of more filth. Bad service, dirty tables and chairs, disgusting crockery. Awful."

"Visited this place for lunch at 2.30pm. Hadn't realised they shut at 3pm. When we walked in the owner (behind the bar) seemed to be not impressed the 9 of us had turned UP for drinks and food. Which was so unusual to say the country is in a recession. However we ordered our drinks then discussed what we wanted for food. He told us HE would tell us what we could have given the time we arrived. 2 of us had mussels and chips, 6 had scallops and 1 a basket of chips. We also asked for bread. When the scallops were served there were only 3 on a plate with sliced new potatoes (so only 2 potatoes) and a celery sauce. This seemed like a starter rather than mains but when the bill came we found out at £23.99 it was a mains dish! Our total bill came to over £257!When looking at the bill, after paying, and being outside the pub, we noticed we had been over charged for 1 wine £7. We tried to get back into the pub to tell the owner but he had locked the doors so couldn't get our money back. This was a total ripoff meal, the owner was rude, disrespectful and lacking in manners to customers.WARNING: DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU DON'T MIND BAD MANNERS AND YOU HAVE WON THE LOTTERY. VERY DISAPPOINTED"

"I hadn't visited in years, but this restaurant is delightful. It was quite peaceful, with only two other tables occupied when we arrived at 12:30. Our drinks were served promptly, and the price for a bottle of red wine was very reasonable at £18.95. I ordered salmon, my father had the Hunters chicken, and my mother opted for the beetroot falafel. We all relished our meals. For dessert, my father and I chose sticky toffee pudding, while my mother enjoyed a Belgian waffle. The sponge was incredibly light and practically melted in my mouth, complemented by a generous drizzle of toffee sauce. Although my mother usually skips dessert, she found the waffle delightful. The atmosphere was pleasant, enhanced by some soft jazz music in the background. We will definitely be returning!"
