"We have been several times to this restaurant and have enjoyed it in the past. The other day we went and had the sushi sashimi platter and mixed tempura and they were fine. But we ordered green tea and were served Jasmine tea. When I queried this with the server (not Japanese no one who works there is Japanese) she said that that was all they had. I can assure you that Jasmine tea is not green tea and it is not good enough to put green tea on the menu and serve jasmine instead. The worst part of the meal was the beef ramen. Absolutely Horrible. In a creamy white soup with no flavour apart from cream milk? Something insipid and white in any case. I think the server said that it had blended tofu in it or something like that? I have lived in Japan for a year and worked in Japanese restaurants after that for over 3 years and I can assure you that I have never seen, or tasted anything like that. The beef in it was stir fried for goodness sake! 3 minute noodles you cook at home have more flavour. I heard a neighbouring table ask if one of the 3 dishes on their table was actually beef teriyaki so maybe the kitchen was having a bad day. After watching them take down the 'CASH ONLY FOR SATURDAY LUNCH ' signs and paying the added 10% service charge for 2 people at 1630 in the afternoon we will never return. I did feed back that the ramen wa not good enough as we left and the server said that they 'd tell the kitchen. Just don 't go, or if you do see if they 're serving green tea instead of jasmine and just don 't, whatever you do, order the ramen or you can always try it at home by boiling milk and adding instant noodles to that. Seriously that bad. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2 Recommended dishes: Sushi, Tempura"

"Myself and husband were in Cheltenham for a short break and on our first night we decided to go for Korean food. After a short but very wet and cold walk from the parking we were really ready to have some decent hot food. We arrived around 6.30pm on a Monday evening without booking and the restaurant was already at least half full which must mean something. The menu was fairly extensive so we certainly had a lot to chose from including Korean BBQ. In the end we decided upon 3 starters and 2 mains. The service was very friendly and reasonably fast. We did ask for everything to come at the same time as I like to have a variety all at once, however, the starters came plate by plate quite soon whereas the mains took a bit more time. Instead of waiting for the mains we started on the starters so they wouldn't go cold. The food was pretty good, in particular the stir fried pak choi was amazing, cook perfectly with lot of garlic. The sweet Korean chicken wings were also pretty decent, we both enjoyed them. The Tteokbokki with cheese was for me a bit underwhelming (I thought they were gonna be covered in cheese) but husband loved them. Then I had the Kimchi Jjigae which was fabulous, I loved the deep flavours with extra chilis and lots of vegetables. I think that pork belly bits were not needed. All in all we enjoyed a lovely meal and have no regrets. It was a wonderful little restaurant with good service and even a little treat at the end which I really appreciated. If we lived closer we certainly would be visiting again as a treat to try other dishes. Prices were also reasonable and we left EXTREMELY full. Maybe less is more. Thank you to the restaurant staff."

"So despite a previous disappointment we have subsequently returned every 4 to 6 weeks because we live locally and generally have an enjoyable visit. Not this time unfortunately. The spicy kimchi casserole was bland, certainly lacking any hint of 'spicy '. Even worse was the spicy chicken which, in addition to having no spice, was hot but chewy on the outside and cold on the inside suggesting it could have been cooked from frozen rather than cooked fresh. When we told the waitress it is normally crunchy on the outside and hot throughout she offered to have a fresh one made, only to hastily return to advise that the dish is not crispy because of the sauce on top this is nonsense as we have ordered this dish on several previous visits and it was nothing like what was served this evening. I 'm not sure whether the chef was feeling lazy, whether they took umbrage at the constructive feedback or whether they actually hail from Korea but the response from the kitchen was unacceptable. My wife then complained about the chicken to the waiter who brought the bill; the waiter simply said 'sorry '. Yet throughout our meal the table next to us was being fawned over? I appreciate restaurants are going through a tough time but so are their customers; why should we accept a substandard dish in return for our own hard earned money? Sorry Koreana but I am struggling to contemplate returning after this visit!"
