"Ever since I became enamoured with the Korean actor, Shun Hyun June, I made a point to learn more about Korean cuisine. Located within a stone's throw of the British Museum, it almost seems like an odd place for it to be. Despite its location, Bibimbab Cafe doesn't jack up the prices to relieve unwary tourists of their money. I've been to BC a few times. It's a small, homely cafe, which is run by a very efficient Korean woman. Everything there is meticulous, efficient and clean. On the day I went, I ordered the beef stew with rice. The stew came with a bowl of miso soup (which I didn't finish, because I'm not a fan of miso). The stew had strips of slow-cooked beef. It was simply cooked in...read more"

my favorite Korean restaurant. I like her chapchae. the atmosphere is intimate and the service is very polite and unobtrusive. it is reasonable price and favored by Korean volks crowds.

This was a new experience for me, and one that I really enjoyed. The components of a bibimbab are all healthy. Mixed together with chilli sauce it’s super tasty. And it’s not overly filling either...

I called in yesterday and coffee was 3.80 am sure this was not the price on the board but of course, I was in a hurry and in no mind to argue the point. I was intending to return to eat another time as...

The menu was beyond simplicity; there were about five different dishes, including Bibimbab (beef and vegetarian options), Kembab (Korean-style Futomaki Roll), Kimchi Soup, Chapchae (Stir-Fried Glass Noodle) and Pancakes. I settled for a Beef Bibimbab set,

Good breakfast smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes. Husband said prawn and avocado baguette was very good. Lovely fresh orange juice with lime. Busy and friendly cakes looked very good. Not over priced for central London. Handy for British Museum.

a small shade on a rain night! the personal was friendly but not intrusive. the selections were right for a small meal. the rice on a selection was boiled with sesame oil and only a bit at the bottom of the bowl to add a nutty crack. the broth was beautiful and subtle. we were the only non-Assians at the place and I felt that we had stumbled on a hidden gem.

Can’t believe I paid £19 for 2 baguettes. I asked for a baguette with just sausage as I disliked the options and as they are made fresh, didn’t think this would be a problem. Obviously turned up with everything I didn’t want in there and one sausage for a whole baguette. Could see from where I was sat someone washing up, just a quick rinse under the tap. Should have walked away when they didn’t accept card.

I'll trade between here and seoul bakery. I have no favorites between the two because there are pros and cons to both. the food is served here faster, so this is a bonus. not too wide at a choice when it comes to eating, but I am the type of person that does not make it up to eat the same all the time so that it does not make me so much. slices of the Korean pancakes are huge and costs only one pound, so I usually get two. with this plus kimbap I'm hired. I think the bibimbap here is always so much bigger than the proportion of sb, but I want to put a lot of gochujang on mine, so I am not really sure if there is a clear difference. ups. Nevertheless, they cannot go wrong...read more
