"The spacious room was impeccably clean. The check-in process was very formal, as we arrived early and were unable to access our room. Parking was located at the quayside, requiring us to carry our cases quite a distance to the hotel. The sister hotel had exceptional food. We felt unsure if we were truly welcomed at this hotel, however, Stromness is a beautiful place that we thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, a lack of a warm welcome was disappointing."

"What can I say, The Toast Rack is SW London's best kept secret. From delicious dishes, great coffee the most friendly staff ever! I've been going to the Toast Rack from months now and it's never let me down, particularly when I bring friends I here I know they will be impressed. Major shout out to Madi Monika who look after my friends me so well. They are both so hardworking, friendly and determined to make sure everyone who passes through the Toast Rack's doors has a really pleasant experience. It's people like Madi Monika that just make you want to come back again again. Thank you both! Make sure to try the freshly made bread treats as you walk in- You won't be disappointed!"

"I visited the restaurant on Remembrance Sunday and had a wonderful experience. The service was courteous and timely. The atmosphere was fantastic, capturing the charm of the small, quaint village of Axbridge perfectly. As for the vegetarian options, I was very pleased with the alternative offered on the Sunday lunch menu. The price per person ranged from £20 to £30. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all as 5 out of 5."

"This restaurant review is in English. Beautiful place. I stayed at the Haddiscoe Lodge, which has 3 bedrooms and bathrooms. If you live in the city and need some peace, I highly recommend coming to Waveney Inn to relax. It is super peaceful and the views from the lodge are stunning. Canoe and kayak hire is available at Three Rivers, which is only a 5-minute drive away. They clean the hot tub daily and the prices are very reasonable. The kitchen is nice to cook in. This is my second visit and I am so glad I came back. Rooms: 5."

"I am sat here at the moment eating one of the least fussy but incredibly tasty burgers I’ve had for a long time. This cafe is great. A real feeling of community and heart with climate change info around, leaflets for a forthcoming comedy night, a loo complete with marker pen to leave a message, and charming staff. I see lots of complaint about the cost. There is information around about careful sourcing of ingredients and it tells. For those that want to pay 50p less for something tasteless in a place completely lacking in social conscience or any atmosphere, there is a Costa opposite. Personally I think this place is doing a fantastic job. Right, now off so sample their cakes..."

The pub offers excellent food and accommodation, as well as a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food at The White Horse is simply delicious. "There may be campsites in Britain with a better view than this one, but I am not aware of them. The location is wonderful, offering a fabulous view. The facilities for those in vans and tents are good, and the campsite/cafe team is very friendly and welcoming. Although we did not eat meals at the cafe, it was fully booked during our stay, which is a great sign. However, we did purchase cakes on a couple of occasions, and they were absolutely delightful. The campsite is great for local walks, and for those interested in local history, be sure to learn about Johnnie Notions and visit his grave. Overall, the view is jaw-dropping and the cakes are lovely. This campsite has everything you need."

"Went here for a meal last night with my inlaws. Hadn't been before, I purely picked this pub because it was half way between our house and my inlaws house and it seem to have really good reviews! But......I'm sorry to say that we were really disappointed! The staff were lovely and accommodating, so kudos to them for that! But the food was shocking! First of all, they had run out of most things on the menu. There was absolutely no vegetarian options, as they had run out of both vegetarian options on the menu. So I asked them to make me the pasta dish without the meatballs and bulk it out with veg instead. The pasta came out, as for the veg they were supposed to bulk it out with, I ended up with 2 solitary pieces of stemmed brocoli on the top of pasta in tomato sauce! My mother inlaw's lamb came out, and it was as tough as leather and looked so small and unappetising! My husband's steak which he asked for medium well, was rare (although they did send out some cheese and biscuits as way of an apology and took some money off of this dish). The food didn't seem like it was cooked by a chef at all. It tasted and looked like half reasonable home cooking. The sticky toffee pudding seemed to have come out of a tin and had been microwaved! The portions were tiny for the the prices we paid! Burger buns were very small! They had run out of the peppercorn sauce, the beef cheek, both vegetarian dishes, mushrooms (which was supposed to come with the steak). Given the fact the menu is fairly small, there was a large percentage missing, which just caused disappointment and regret for choosing here to eat! I have to be honest and say I probably wouldn't come back here with how things are right now. I think there is a lot to be worked on. It says online that this is a gastro pub, but the food quality and options were nowhere close to being gastro I'm afraid! The staff were lovely, so the foundations are good. But everything else needs huge improvement! One last thing I must mention is the fact we booked a table, but ended up outside on bench seats. My inlaws are fairly old with my father inlaw having alot of osteo problems, my husband also has back problems. The seats were incredibly uncomfortable and we all had to keep getting up! The bench table we had was also uneven, so didn't meet the floor properly and was rocking all evening. It wasn't what you'd expect from a booked table. I don't mind sitting outside, as space inside is limited, but you need to have tables with proper wooden chairs with backs on them for the booked tables."

"On our way to the Edinburgh fringe, we took time out to refuel ourselves and were so lucky to find this journey back in time at John Watt and Sons. If you seek out those wonderful atmospheric independent cafes and coffee houses, this will be an absolute treat for you. As soon as you step inside, it is clear that the owners and staff really care about the experience of sounds, smells and memorabilia from a past golden era. You can choose to sit in and select a meal from the well presented menu, we had the full breakfast which was piping hot and very filling. Or you can choose from the classic range of coffees and blends to take home at the deli style counter. Part of the experience is the decor, and if you finish your meal, take a few moments to take the staircase at the corner of the room and journey down to the cellar and their fascinating museum of genuine shop items from the 1940s and before. This is a cafe that should be a destination on everyone’s list because it’s good for the soul. Thankyou to the very friendly, attentive staff who clearly work very hard. When we are on our way to the fringe next year we’ll definitely call back."

"The restaurant offers delicious food and has an exceptional staff. They have options for both hearty and lighter breakfasts. I tried the Haggis for the first time and it exceeded my expectations. The staff is very friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have. The service is also quick and efficient."

"We had two cheese cream teas and a traditional cream tea. This was well worth the money. The scones were slightly warm and mouth watering and the massive slab of cheese on the cheese tea topped it off. I think this is the only place...that accommodates for anyone who doesn’t drink tea. Me and my dad had a luscombe drink rather than the traditional tea beverage. I can’t recommend this place enough. Service was very fast and it’s located right in the centre of cockington."

"Just wanted to share a review of our brief stop at The Angel Inn, Larling, Saturday 28th October ‘23. Two adults and two of our children, popped in on the off-chance we could get some grub. Luckily we were pleasantly welcomed by the gentleman behind the bar, where we were shown to a table. We ordered two cheeseburger meals for the boys, a BLT sandwich meal for my lady, and, a Steak and Ale pie meal for myself. We ordered drinks, which we enjoyed as we waited for our food. The burger meals were plentiful, with lovely home-made looking chips that were really nice and a little side pot of baked beans- both ended up being a bit too much for our boys (aged 9 10- so that shows how plentiful and filling the meals were). My lady’s BLT sandwich meal, was, she described as “The best ever, with the perfect amount of mayonnaise”, so there you have it. My steak ale pie meal, well, let’s put it like this: I stoped eating it after one bite- just to savour the absolutely beautiful tenderness of the meat!!! This was sublime for such an ordinary dish- the pastry seemingly homemade, was delicious as were the vegetables and chips that accompanied the pie. So delicious and nice was it that in no time I had completely polished the plate clean. Our bill, with drinks, came in at £46 which is fantastic for the home-made quality of the food we enjoyed- totally great value for your money. Our first ever visit, I have to say right here with you as my witness: it won’t be our last! Do try to book a table- it’s obvious this place gets full, regularly! Brilliant and completely worth stopping at. Kindest regards to the owners, Douglas Valentine"

"As a local I have been here a few times, mainly bringing guests to visit the farm shop and cafe. It is not a cheap lunch and, yet again I am underwhelmed by the food and service. We waited an age to be seated while waiting staff walked past over ten times. They smiled but didn’t acknowledge that we were waiting. Eventually we were seated and given one menu.. between two. I had to get up and go and get another one. Is it really too much to have one each? We were offered and served drinks, no problem. We ordered two sandwiches no granary bread left. What? You have a farm shop next door! Ok we chose sourdough. The sandwiches arrived with a bunch of leaves on the side. No dressing, no love, no care. Just leaves. The biggest horror was that in, what is presented as a quality establishment we were served sandwiches with cheap, margarine type spread that stuff that comes in huge plastic tubs. Reeeevolting. As a chef I find this really not ok. Cheap and average, very expensive. That’s it. Will not chance it again I’m afraid."

"A wonderful local cafe and deli. Tables inside and out. As well as consistently delicious breakfast, lunch options, and cake, the deli stocks a broad range of interesting and high quality wine, cheese, vegetable, bread, oils , teas and other larder items that make great last minute gifts. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. My only criticism is that their coffee is pretty dreadful. It’s a shame, as this often steers me away. Recommend they get on top of their coffee game to earn their rightful place as top in their class in Richmond."

"I visited rock diner kilmarnock, today 28/10/21 waited 45mins for 2 burger meals. anoher, who came after me, was served before me. When I was asked what the delay was, I was told that our meals were expelled. we waited. no excuse. when the meal arrived, I ordered two drinks. one was poured and the other was forgotten. to make the thing even worse, the beer I ordered was off and so was our second choice. this was not the first time that I had waited in this facility, but it will certainly be the last. (I thought I would give them a second chance, what a mistake"

"We visited this charming pub with friendly staff for Sunday lunch. Initially, I thought the price of £16.95 was a bit high, but I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful meal. The beef was delicious and we received three large slices. I wish we had each received a plate of vegetables instead of sharing one between us, but overall the meal was very tasty. I suggest removing the Mange tout as it is not a great vegetable choice. Another pub down the road offered two lunches for £20, but the quality of our meal was worth it. We would definitely return to this pub as the drinks were reasonably priced too."

"A fairly busy Saturday afternoon due to the weather. Just wanted a coffee to take around the lake on our walk. If the man serving had told us there would be a wait we'd not have bothered until after our walk. I think there was only one lady on the drinks and that meant more people were then waiting. After nearly 15 mins we were brought out two very small coffees...sure they used to be bigger? It's a shame as it's a perfect location for the play park and lake. Maybe we'll go earlier next time and not at the weekend. Coffee was nice though even if a little on the small side for what we paid."

"Visited here on November. One of my most favourite meals out ever. Warm welcome and service was spot on, very attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Complimentary bread and olives is a generous gesture. Shared cold fish starter and I ordered Thai mussels,...my wife Hake with Crab Crostini for main courses. Both were delicious and presented beautifully. I cannot praise this restaurant enough and will be returning frequently. Menu exciting and varied with a heavy accent on local fish, just what I am looking for when visiting Cornwall. Well done Taste it was a wonderful dining experience."

"We have been dining at this restaurant for a few months now, but unfortunately, we think it's time to explore other options. While the location is beautiful and parking is easy to find, the service and food can be inconsistent. We have experienced long waits for coffee and often received side salads with brown lettuce. It's disappointing when basic items like brown bread and tuna are not available, and the toasted sandwich we ordered was cold and not toasted. The lack of effort in ensuring fresh ingredients and attention to detail is concerning. We believe that consistent, high-quality food is essential for a positive dining experience. We wish the restaurant well, but it's time for us to find a new place to dine."

"Ribchester resident. Not been here for a few years. Reserved a family of six for lunch recently. Arrived, saw menu and left. I eat out all the time, I go to Michelin restaurants and high end restaurants Not irregularly and expect to be charged for quality food and dining. But this doesn't mean I won't engage my brains or will pay any amount of money regardless of what I get in return. £18 for a ciabatta and £6 for a bowl of chips from a cafe kitchen? If you don't see a problem with this, you have money but no sense."
