"We were a bit apprehensive when we arrived, as the pub was quite bustling after a sunny day and we were a group of five. However, our worries were unfounded; our young server was fantastic, managing not only our table but also a large number of other customers with ease. The food was also excellent. "Took a while for staff to come over and serve us. However once we caught their attention, the waitress was helpful with our order. They have an offer on for starters and a cocktail pitcher. The space is cosy, warm and welcoming and ideal for a catch up with friends. Only table service is allowed and cannot order at the bar due to COVID restrictions. Staff wore masks and seating was socially distanced."

"The food was nothing to write home about. My steak was overcooked. Service was patchy. Some servers were great others a bit absent minded. We got a discount and complimentary desert to apologise for the steak, which was nice. The atmosphere and the view are lovely but it was a little bit cold in the dining room."

"This small cafe in Highbury serving restaurant quality food truly deserves all the love it gets in the reviews on here. We went for brunch/lunch. We booked and this proved a good move there are only a few tables. Food really excellent. We all ate poshified versions of basics for example a fried egg bap. I know some say you shouldn't mess with a basic. But the Frank's version was LOVELY. The bap which had the texture of a brioche but tasting more salty was perfect, the egg just right, and what I think was a confit of green veg smeared in the bap set it all off to perfection. I asked for some Heinz tomato sauce, which the sweet waiter duly brought, but guess what I didn't need it, it was flavoursome enough already. Service also really excellent. Friendly, polite. Just right. Go here. You won't regret it!"

"I enjoyed a fantastic lunch in the outdoor tent at the restaurant. While I would have preferred to dine inside, I had to follow the rules which did not allow indoor seating. This did affect the atmosphere somewhat, but it was not the fault of the restaurant. Nevertheless, the service and food were both outstanding."

"Before going there, we called the restaurant and asked the manager if they can host a table of 22 people, they were more than happy to say yes. So, we all went there and after placing the order for starters and mains this is how it went. It took them 45mins to serve the starters and when the food came, chicken tikka was cold and seekh kebab were hard, we ordered 7 mix platters for starters and only 5 arrived at the table. For mains, we had ordered 5 sajji (only 2 came), 3 lamb karahi and 3 chicken karahi, they served 4 karahi’s (2 each) 40mins after the starters had been eaten, they served karahi’s and then naans came 20mins after the karahis! Some of the guests on our table started eating their karahi with fork! The service was shocking x10, my dad and I kept taking turns to nudge the manager for food delay as guests were being impatient. The manager was too busy making waffles and cookie doughs for Just Eat orders! After 2hrs of hassling with the manager and food delays etc, we asked the manager if he has any desi dessert, he said he has nothing apart from ice cream which was not even made and said he can make a cookie dough but will be 5mins delay on each guest, which asian restaurant serves cookie doughs and waffles to the elderly? Anyway, we asked him to make ice creams which he started from scratch and served after 20mins! To top off the horrible service, food everything, I asked my dad to see off the guests into their cars because there was no way I was paying the full amount which by the way came to £437.98! My cousin and I asked the manager to compensate for such poor service and food, he said he can only bring down 10%, we then said it should be 30% off atleast he then started shouting at us and tried putting the shutter down at the restaurant and said he’ll find my dad and ask him to pay in the car park infront of the guests to embarrass him yes these were his exact words! Anyway, then it annoyed my cousin and I and we said calm the hell down, we will be paying but told him how inconsiderate he was being. We were about to pay then he started talking rudely to my mum and my aunty which really annoyed us and that’s when we told him to get his act together! We ended up paying 10% less. He also threatened to call police used some islamic terms on us etc etc. We also said to him if he could not serve a table of 22 people, then why did he say yes, it would have saved us an embarrassment infront of my sister’s in laws! Please DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. IT’S A JUNK YARD! Parking has no lights, no bays, there is garbage everywhere. Toilets are broken and dirty, service is shocking and food comes with ALOT OF DELAY."

"Booked for Sunday dinner. Arrived and ordered drinks and told staff it was our first visit here. We were shown to our table promptly but not told we had to order meal at bar so we sat there for a while and after about 15 minutes went to bar to order. Attempted to order 4 trio roast dinners for our party. Was told none left so I tried ordering the roast beef and told none left. Reluctantly we ended up ordering the turkey. However, potatoes were overdone and no stuffing which was supposed to be part of the meal and the portion for the money was a bit on the mean side. We ate our meals and left promptly. As we were still hungry we ended up getting a kebab straight after. I would absolutely give this place a wide berth and not recommend based on our experience which is a shame because it's sited next to a great open space, Coulsdon Common.."

"First time I actually wonder into Luton while waiting for someone to land on the local airport. Found this place on Trip Advisor and tried it for breakfast and was not dissapointed! "This was our first visit which I wish we had been sooner . The manager greeted us and escorted us to our booth which was ideal. He explained the menu and gave us some great information on the food. We ordered some recommended dishes and we wasn’t disappointed. The food was amazing and totally diffrent from your run of the mill indian restaurant. The portions were just right. We had red wine and bottled beer that was lovely. shame not draught but no problem. We carnt wait to return. We would recommend the Raj Minkey to anyone who appreciates a different curry experience. Great food good drink friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great atmosphere."

"As you’d expect in Long Melford this pub is a jumble of rooms, all pleasantly presented. The rear patio and garden offers sunny and shady spots. Dog friendly. The Swan seems to be leaning towards a wine bar, bistro vibe most noticeable in the menu, which was sorely lacking in lighter options at lunchtime. Not a sandwich in sight and the only real contender, a chicken Caesar salad, was off. I’m not a fussy eater but struggled, eventually opting for a pleasant but unremarkable gazpacho. My wife went for a more substantial tuna dish which was very good. Presented with new potatoes, boiled egg and a mound of olives it was pleasant but too much for a light lunch. Service was friendly and smooth. Go there if you have a hearty appetite but there are plenty of alternatives nearby."

"I used to use this cafe all the time before I moved away and when I was back in Kent I was looking forward to visiting again. My family and I turned up and found a table outside. I went to go into the shop...to ask if they took card to be greeted by a waitress who abruptly told me yes. I then said to my family I was going to get a menu to be told by the waitress that it was table service and that we had sat at a dirty table and we that would have dirty menus too..! The people next to us said”that’s you told off”. We left as I don’t pay to have people be rude to me or my family. Utterly disgusted and disappointed."
