"I always noticed the wonderful smell coming from this place when I walked by, so I finally decided to try it out over the weekend. The man behind the counter was very friendly and helpful, explaining the spiciness levels of the curries and offering to adjust them to our preferences. The food we ordered was delicious, the quality was great for the price, and we didn't have to wait too long for it. I would definitely order from here again. Another great thing is that the menu offers the option to make any dish vegetarian or vegan, which is a big bonus for those who require it."

"We had booked a table but the waiter didn’t ask so we sat at a table of our choice as it was initially empty. Despite not being busy the waiter talked over us twice, rushed us and wrongly preempted we would like to share a portion of poppadoms as he didn’t listen. It got worse as my dining partner was given her meal 20 minutes before me as the waiter had given her order to the wrong table. The food however was tasty but we won’t be back. The waiter brought our bill and said he gave us a discount rudely waving the card reader so we asked for time to look at the bill, he hadn’t even taken the full service charge off but we got a discount after a while of his excuses about what went wrong (not my issue)"

This place is well worth the good feedback, the food was great and the prices are very reasonable considering the location. They seem to have had a refurb since some of the pics on here were posted and it looks really smart inside. The staff were attentive and very friendly. "we had traveled from Australia to do the north coast 500 and spent a night in edinburgh. after a long day of traveling and sightseeing we needed an Indian experience and stumbled over ronaq on craigleith rd near where we were. we have tried an Indian in every city we traveled to, and no one is close to this. the best Indian we have experienced in our travels and in our home country. they make one fall and do not look for something better. they will not find it. ask also for benny and get the best service with an end after dinner mint with their bill. brilliant. many thanks. 12/10 review by us."

"bar far the worst curry I've ever eaten, all three currys were left, ludicrous about sweet curry, which should seem like masala with more taste, disgusting dish, the front of the house staff urgently that it was an award-winning restaurant. "how much more authentic they want" he said. Absolutely almost torn down for three people and it was awful. before the house staff also told me that the cook would refuse to add something to the court I demanded, because it is perfect for them, as far as I was aware, I paid, so I can choose absolute dive of a place, would have gone out if we saw only one table sat on a Friday, that is a sign. how for award-winning, a curry won an unknown award seemingly, I know a chippy that won a price from the local pathfinders, that is also hardly a serious source and I doubt that this was. Long story short if they want comfort, authentic and ambiente, then they avoid this place to all cost! back that I could not add to my curry card, again they avoid this place pretending to be something they really are not."

"We booked a table for 4 for 7.30pm, arrived 7.25 and it took 20 mins. to get severed for drinks. It got worse! We were finally shown to the table of a 20% full restaurant and 25mins later finally had the head waiter ask if he could take our order...with an attitude as if he was doing us a favour... We were so put off by the dirty, 'sticky ' tables and v slow service we told the waiter we were leaving, paid for our drinks and left. Never again will we go back!"

"Ordered from here tonight, asked for a mixed chicken box, kebab meat, no colesaw and no onions (which they had put in anyway). After arriving at 1.45 a.m., it took me about 20 minutes before I could order this was after atleast 4 people skipped me and made orders there when I finally asked to order, I was well said if everyone would come and up there would not be a problem (there was no line). It took 2.35 before I got my food! Would not recommend!"

"Came here for my wife's birthday this evening, we were seated upstairs and were looked after by Swizel Rodriguez, who was simply lovely to us all evening. She had decorated the table with some birthday ribbons and banners and gave it all a real personal touch, almost as if being welcomed into her own home. Elsewhere the service was very good, our food drinks came out in good time not too fast not too slow. We both had medium 12oz rib eye steak... The nicest flavoured steak I've had in a long time, I almost didn't want to put the peppercorn sauce on (but I love peppercorn sauce, so I did! . To finish we had desserts brought by the rest of the H.K team who sung happy birthday to my wife. An all round lovely evening at a place I can't fault. 10/10."

"We had decided on an Indian and I took ages poring over the reviews. Sam 's reviews had the odd bad one which gave us a little trepidation but overall did not give me cause for concern and we decided to try it out. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was well cooked and tasty. The mains lived up to the promise of the menu but the sides were also well prepared and cooked for example the mushroom bhaji is often just bland in many restaurants but in Sam 's, it had spice and taste just as flavoursome as the main course. Sam 's also tries to be a bit different which I appreciated: I like the creaminess of Kormas but like spiciness too. In the past I have asked restaurants to spice up a korma for me and they have either refused (can 't do that with such a creamy meal) or the result has not worked. But Sam 's had Mirchi Korma on the menu a spicy korma!! Excellent and it really works. Not like a jalfrezi or vindaloo but still medium hot. Would choose to come here again."

However, we soon realized that the lower ratings were likely from non-Asian individuals who may not be as familiar with Asian flavors. One critic mentioned that they use the same masala everywhere, but it became clear to me that they were not well-versed in Asian cuisine. I decided to disregard the negative reviews and give it a try. I highly recommend this restaurant for those who want to enjoy flavorful and authentic Asian dishes. The owner, Mr. Arif, was even willing to customize a curry to our liking by adding naga apron upon request. The food portions were generous and the prices very reasonable. I visited three other restaurants in Belfast over the course of three days, including Jhorna, Kathmandu Kitchen, and Bites of India, but this one stood out as the best choice."

"Ordered a takeaway from Wei Dao for 4 Singapore Noodles and a Beef in BB Sauce. Great food noodles had that oomph taste and was quite crisp. I would happily recommend Wei Dao to anyone looking for a tasty, less greasy, bang for the buck, healthy Chinese takeaway. The guys running the place was swell as well. My wife was allergic to prawns and the Singapore Noodles did have them. The note I placed with the online order to avoid adding them to one of the noodles was unfortunately overlooked, perhaps being a busy Saturday evening. I called them to complain once I reached home. The person who picked up was so graceful, that he kindly suggested to provide me with another one without prawns and even threw in a few Spring Rolls as a good will gesture. When I offered to return the original one, he insisted to keep it for the family on the house.Was quite amazed with their response, and when I reached to collect the food, they apologized unreservedly. "First of all it started with it with a drink then we had food after the owner stated it was good authentic Indian and American food, we ordered 2 of the empire burgers which was dry and rubbery and the amount it sauce made the burger soggy, we also ordered a balti which came out red in a tiny dish there was hardly any chicken which was cooked terribly and the chicken was scrag ends, the naan bread wasn’t homemade it was shop brought it was a tough as dogs toy and the amount of grease on top was good enough for a pond, the food came out at odd times and they forgot the sides. The place was like a ghost town with very odd cheap decor they only had one member of staff which was clumsy and didn’t know really what to do, also no draft for fizzy pop, we told the waitress about the food and didn’t do much about it the chef didn’t apologise it was just an excuse of “short staff” which if you’re going to take people’s money you still need to keep up the standards. THIS PLACE NEEDS SHUTTING DOWN IVE HAD BETTER MICROWAVE FOOD"
