Creamy Middle Eastern ice cream with elastic texture, flavored with mastic and rosewater. Refreshing and unique dessert.

"Firstly staff were great and friendly, and made us feel really welcomed. Pickle tray was actually generous which was nice but again another thats missing the lime pickle . Mains wise, good portion of mushroom rice, fragrant and tasty. The lamb achari sauce base was rich and moreish, the meat tender. The chicken passanda was OK.. Chicken pieces were a tad tough which was a shame as the sauce was nicely balanced and smooth. The garlic naan was unfortunately a little anemic, just needed that extra minute as it was doughy on certain parts. We were one of the first ones tonight in the restaurant, so maybe a start of service hiccup, but wasnt what we remembered when we last visited."

"I recently dined at this restaurant for dinner and was very impressed with the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere. The price per person was very reasonable, ranging from £1 to £10. I highly recommend trying the Chicken 65, Veg Samosa Chat, Chicken Biryani, and Green Salad. Overall, I give this restaurant a 5-star rating for food, service, and atmosphere."

"What an amazing place. We found it completely by accident whilst looking for somewhere to break the journey home from Anglesey to the South Coast. The team were hosting the local shoot, alongside a village Trick Or Treat extravaganza when we arrived! So lovely to see a pub that is truly still at the heart of the local community. Despite the fact the staff were really busy, and the pub was overflowing, we were made very welcome, the room was amazing, as was dinner, and nothing was too much trouble. Now we have found you, we WILL be back!! Thank you so much for a lovely stay."

"We were here for an early (5.30pm) midweek supper and we each had a super meal.I asked if the restaurant did a lamb karahi and was told that the meat would actually be mutton. Our waiter recognised that I was hesitant and sceptical, so he took lots of time to explain that the meat would be flavoursome and tender and then explained exactly how the dish was cooked and that the slow cooking ensured that the meat really would be tender. He convinced me, I ordered the dish and it was absolutely delicious! As promised, the meat was melt-in-the-mouth tender and it was actually more flavoursome than lamb. I can recommend it, with basmati rice.My dining companion had chicken madras with naan and he cleared his plate in no time. The restaurant has no drinks licence, so you can take your own beer/wine and they happily provide glasses (and no corkage fee). This means that an evening at Palace Tandoori not only means a delicious meal, but also excellent value for money, so it doesn 't have to be a restaurant that you save just for a treat . |It 's great."

"I used to be at khushis in dunfermline, but only for lunch. my friend and I arrived about 15 minutes early, but sat without problems. free nibbles were released and drinks ordered. we were then for approx. 5-10 minutes to look at the menu that was good, as I really hate being upset by the minute I sit down. food was ordered and quickly brought to our table. we ordered the 4 kebab cellar to begin and the waiter explained what each of them was without being asked what was a nice note I thought. eating was fantastic as it was always when I was there and the bill showed the excellent value for money available."

"This restaurant is my favorite place to dine out locally. They offer a wide variety of delicious main courses, so there is something for everyone's taste. I usually go for the steak, especially the Mixed Steak meal, which is very filling! The soup of the day is always changing and comes with bread and butter for dipping. The desserts are exceptional, but I recommend waiting until after your main course to order one, as the portions are generous. Keep an eye out for special offers on certain days. The beer selection could be expanded, but there is likely something you will enjoy. The atmosphere is lively with many happy diners chatting and enjoying their meals. There are also some fun game and gambling machines for entertainment. The toilets are clean and well-maintained. Overall, this is a great place to eat out, especially for locals."

"Yesterday, we popped in for a toffee dessert to warm up and ended up staying for a meal and trying the gin menu. The bartender was friendly and helpful, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of this charming place. The visit was definitely worth it—our pizza was fantastic! We will definitely be back, especially since all the meals coming out looked beautiful."

"Top quality food which was very reasonably priced. The bang bang chicken burger was incredible. By far our best meal in the Lakes so far and definitely the best place to eat in Coniston. Gutted we discovered it on our last day of the holiday!! Thank you so much for such a brilliant dining experience Parking: Great car park just opposite the bistro Kid-friendliness: Great childrens menu and not just full of the standard nuggets, burger and fish fingers. Our boys had sausage and mash with a choice of vegetables. Sausages were sourced from a fabulous butcher, homemade mash potatoes and homemade gravy! Not a scrap was left. Staff were incredibly accommodating with the boys. Their meals arrived first (upon our request), they sourced some bread and butter for our youngest dispite being really busy, took time out to interact and speak with the boys. We had a 6yrs, 3yrs, and 6 month old. Whilst the toilet was quite small, I was offered space in the upstairs accommodation to change our youngest. We were made to feel incredibly welcome throughout our visit."

"The strong smell of fish both inside and outside the room was overpowering. While I can appreciate that it is a fishing location, the lingering stench of rotten fish was truly unforgettable. Despite this, the overall experience at the restaurant was decent. However, the prices were quite high considering the quality of the food. At £130 per night, it is equivalent to the Hilton Glasgow, yet does not even include breakfast. The service at the restaurant was also lacking, with peculiar and uncommunicative staff. I had to make a last-minute booking for a job in Dundee, so I ended up staying overnight. I would not recommend this place for any other reason. I could tolerate the smell, but the poor customer service is simply not acceptable."

"I’ve visited this pub before (pre babies) and always loved it. Pre booked for lunch today and I told them I had a double buggy and two babies. I asked to be tucked out of the way if possible but we were placed right by the door, there wasn’t nearly enough room For us and I spent the meal feeling uncomfortable and in the way. One of the babies needed changing and I was told there were no facilities but we could use an alcove by the stairs, so little one was duly placed on the floor for the cleanup which he wasn’t thrilled about . I completely understand that some places just aren’t geared towards kids but when I called to book I wish they’d just said they didn’t really have the space or facilities for us, that would have been far better than having to wolf down a roast and get out of there as fast as we could"

"Me and my daughter was going to see James Arthur at the AO Arena so I looked up somewhere to eat not far and decided to come here as it was a nice location, when we arrived the lady at the bar was friendly and said we can sit anywhere without a reserve sign on, we found a nice table and ordered our food and drink on the app, the drink arrived within a couple of minutes and within 5 minutes our food had arrived, me and my daughter both had the cheese and bacon burger, the food was lovely and hot and within 5 minutes we had a check back from the waiter who was very friendly, The pub itself was lovely and clean and all the staff was very friendly, I would definitely come back to this pub."

"Tried pub out on recent weekend stay at nearby White Hart. Most expensive of the four pubs in the village for drinks £3 more for exactly the same two drinks as we had in the Greyhound. However food made up for it some of the best Thai I have had. Service was good in fact the only minor criticism is the fact that we felt we were being closely watched by staff to point where my dish was removed before my wife had finished hers. That said would certainly return and would certainly recommend."

"Absolutely amazing quirky pub that everyone should visit more than once in their lifetime! The decor is so unique, a real feast for the eyes and better than a visit to a museum of memorabilia. Hazel and Nick were so welcoming and their ability to cater for all diets is quite unique. As a coeliac I felt normal and really welcomed unlike at many establishments that just can't be bothered. Awarding winning pub and justly so. We stayed in the carpark overnight in our campervan and woke to an amazing sight surrounded by classic cars. The pub hosts many events and lots of tribute bands so we will be back very soon. Book your table and tickets as they are shure to sell out. Thanks to Hazel we enjoyed a lovely morning walk along the Thames footpath. Brilliant map Hazel.. we didn't get lost."

"We had booked this restaurant the previous day ahead of our overnight stay in the hotel next door and upon arriving we were clearly the first customers of the day. There wasn 't much of a welcome however we were just pointed to our table and handed menus and asked for drinks. Sure. that 's what you want but a Good evening, welcome, how are you this evening? wouldn 't have gone amiss though I must say I 've been to a few Indian restaurants where the 'welcome ' is much the same. Anyway, onto the food. Despite a rather lacklustre chicken kebab starter (it was fine, just chicken without any particularly flavoursome masala the main course of Sarisha Murgh was tasty and good although the supposed mustard flavour didn 't come through at all. The naan breads were good though thinner and more authentic than the usual massive ones you get. We also had dal tadka on the side which was ok very much a homestyle recipe and not the tastiest I 've ever had. All in all it filled us well however. The service was fine, if not exactly friendly and the interior is fairly spartan but for a village the size of Aberlady it 's good to have a choice of eateries and an Indian one at that. They just need to work on their welcome and perhaps also not charge £1.10 for poppadoms (plenty of restaurants will give them for free while you wait! . It 's Bring Your Own Bottle too."

"What a fantastic little gem. We visited recently as we had a friend visiting from Sussex. Booked in for 7.30pm and as soon as we walked in the door we received a great welcome and shown to our lovely table. Everything you needed but not too much. The restaurant was clean and very presentable with a certain coziness. We had all three courses. Butterfly prawns and haddock goujons, served with salad and dips were our starters. We then had burgers and haddock and chips again served with a lovely salad and dips. Out desserts were knickerbocker glory, a trio of ice cream and sticky toffee pudding. To be honest, we all agreed that, all the dishes were absolutely superb, and the best meal out that we had had for a very long time. Fantastic food, fantastic service and a fantastic place for a meal. They are not licensed, so be sure to take your own alcohol. They do serve soft drinks however."

"at a hotel in front of our flight we decided to try a local pub, what a sound! the staff was very friendly and friendly, and the pub was so cozy and played excellent music. serrated beers were excellent, even had my favorite (jail ale) on! eating was excellent,...best bangers and mash I ever had, and the lasagne of my wife was so delicious. pubs and toilets were also immaculately clean! great start in our vacation! if they stay overnight in the thistle or premier inn, they will not be disappointed!"

"We got there and the atmosphere was quite dodgy not very welcoming. There was 7 of us and we all ordered food and drink and one of the girls didn’t get a drink throughout the whole time being there even though we had told them. We ordered a fresh mango drink and too our surprise it was Rubicon mango juice straight out from the cartan. The burgers and chips meal was horrid. The burger buns came super cold and there was this funky after taste which I couldn’t stand. I ended up just eating the patty and some stale lettuce. Didn’t touch the soggy chips wasn’t fresh and no salt on it. The other thing that annoyed us was the fact we could see the workers shoving the chips back into the fridge that was RIGHT infront of the order desk . Just felt super unprofessional and didn’t feel right. The chicken shawarma was good though. This is not an authentic Lebanese restaurant. Serving Aldi sauces garlic mayo dip that had too much added garlic into it. Tomatoe ketchup and chilli sour source. The pitta bread tasted store brought. Would not recommend and never going there again. Very disappointed"
"We were recommended to have breakfast at this restaurant by a friend, and we were definitely not disappointed. The breakfast was excellent, with high-quality sausage and bacon from the local butcher. The food was perfectly cooked, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant was very clean and well-maintained. This was the best breakfast we have had in a long time, and we will definitely be returning soon."

"I recently dined at this restaurant for brunch and it was a delightful experience. The price per person was between £10–20, which I found to be reasonable considering the quality of the food and service. The food was top-notch, earning a solid 5 out of 5 rating. I highly recommend trying the bakery items, particularly the focaccia, croissant, coffee cake, and sausage roll. Each dish was freshly made and bursting with flavor. The service was excellent as well, with attentive staff who made sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also superb, earning another 5 out of 5 rating. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a delicious brunch experience."
