"We were having dinner last night and the place is very nice, the super attentive employees and of course the very good food, although a bit spicy, but normal being a Thai, super recommendable, we will return"

"The food was of high quality and tasty, but I like my food to be hot in temperature and unfortunately the food wasn't particularly hot. What pleased me very much was that the restaurant had mistakenly made a big overcharge on my bill that I was not aware of and then rang me to return so that they could refund me the difference. Very much appreciate their honesty and have been telling people about it."

"Went as a group of 8 for a family meal when we had visitors. Service was great, we asked for some recommendations for non spicy kid friendly dishes and there were lots. The kids ate well, as did the adults! Food was cooked to order, was all fresh and excellent. Visitors were impressed (especially after having a substandard meal in Chinatown earlier that day). Highlight dish was the recommended fish slices with pickled mustard and vermicelli which came in a large soup bowl for sharing. Tangy, sour, spicy (fresh ginger) yet gentle and comforting. The menu is well worth exploring further on our next visit!"

"Absolutely amazing food and drinks! I started with the Braised Pork Belly with the Three Lives cocktail. Then on to the Truffle and Parmasean Fries with the Exiles cocktail. And to finish, the Vanilla Panna Cota with a Latte. Wouldn't change a thing. The Exiles cocktail was incredible, like nothing I've had before. Panna Cota was worth it, 100%. The braised Pork Belly was so good, I could've eaten another serving. The team was so kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend a visit."

"First time at Sawadika having found online and picked due to good reviews. Dining area is clean and contemporary with plenty of Thai influence but not a super authentic set up. Plenty of space on tables and between diners. Staff were attentive and professional while being friendly and casual as you’d happen for with a good Thai place. The service was swift, the food was terrific and the restaurant made the setting for an enjoyable night. Prices are reasonable for London but are cheap for the quality of food you’re served. Would gladly go here again, and fully intend to do so."

"The whole dinner was vegan and amazing. The starter was the green Papaya salad with oranges, it was pretty sharp and so good. The main was the green curry with vegetables and tofu. The sauce was really creamy and had a lot of taste. The sticky rice as a side is so good. I usually don't like rice with my meal, but I couldn't get enough of it. The salad as a side is massive and much too much food should I just stick with the rice. Dessert was two flavors of vegan sorbet (mango and peach) with raspberries, blueberries, oranges and mint and it was brilliant. The staff was super friendly and knew exactly what was vegan and which of their articles were vegan or not. It was a beautiful, dark ash, interestingly decorated atmosphere. And it's just next to the London Bridge Station, so it's super comfortable. Updated by previous review on 2019 03 11"

"Right next to the castle entrance. Great place to take a break after sightseeing. The bar is upstairs and got a little den area for extra seatings with a great view of the cobblestone street castle. £1 oyster during happy hour 3-6pm daily. Whisky tasting, a happy hour menu with generous portions. Pricing is very reasonable given its prime location setting. A value especially if you could take advantage of the happy hours. Service was very attentive as well. We were a group of 5 adults 2 kids."

"excellent service. very personal service by the recipeist and restaurant nafiza, which was efficient and friendly. the food was super, fresh and well cooked. the restaurant and the bar and other facilities are excellent. the ground for 3 stars for ambiente, however, is the restaurant lighting too bright and there should be background music. the conversation with others was very audible. Low-level music helps mask talks and more so forces people to talk calmer. the lighting did not help as it was at full brightness level, so it was not relaxed and other guests thought they were at home and talked very loud. I hope that this can be fixed, as this is very slight excitement, but the restaurant will transform. we are coming back to the final."

"The reception desk on the ground floor was unattended, so we walked up a flight of stairs to the bar where the staff seemed surprised to see us. After finally being seated, the service was acceptable but not worth the high prices. The menu was extremely limited, with only seven main dishes to choose from, one of which was fish and chips - not what we were expecting for a fine dining experience. The lobster and steak were overpriced. While nothing we ate was bad, nothing stood out as exceptional either, especially considering the prices. Overall, this was one of the least memorable meals we had during our week in Edinburgh. With so many other great dining options in Old Town, I would not recommend Victor Carina Contini's Cannonball Restaurant."

"Booked a Christmas party here for 28 people. The venue is perfect, the outdoor area and the secret garden extends the bar and it’s a lovely space. The meal was good quality with friendly fast service. The low review is because the drinks were very expensive, we put a tab behind the bar and it was gone in 30 minutes. But the real issue is that they had so many people in on the night (different groups) the bar was shoulder to shoulder packed. To compound the problem they closed the outdoor space early. I watched a member of staff fall face first with a bucket of ice and lime, he stood up swearing and shouting about the lack of fire escapes (because so many people were packed in shoulder to shoulder). Even the staff recognised that it was dangerously over packed. It made the evening completely impossible. To compound this we paid for a suite in the partner hotel to stay in, got down for breakfast at 10am and was told breakfast finished at 9.30am. We couldn’t get so much as a coffee after having nearly 30 people in and paying for a suite. Not great! It’s a shame as the venue is perfect, they just got greedy with the bookings. It needed about half the number that they had booked in."

"First seated right at the back in the dark, despite having booked ahead. Then when a table became free we asked to move forward a bit. Waiters were all very grumpy and quite hard to flag down Range of menus (dim sum, picture menu, full menu) at first confusing and just one of each between the four of us. But food was good BBQ pork, Indonesian prawns with fried patties, duck in plum sauce, soft shell crab, prawn and seaweed croquettes, rainbow dumplings, chilli tofu, special rice, mushroom dumplings, veggie spring rolls At £229 for 4 (3 bottles of wine) rather pricey. Nearby table was very noisy at first. No real atmosphere to the place."

"A very disappointing visit. I had been here with my wife about 6 months ago and the food was very good and I therefore booked for my wife’s 60th lunch before going to the theatre. It is my also son’s birthday on the same day, so a double celebration. It started fairly well. although service wasn’t very attentive. When we did get to order the food that came out was very good but we only received half our dishes. After waiting about 20 minutes, a waitress asked if we would like to order more food and we let her know we were still waiting on food already ordered. About 20 minutes later we received a few more dishes but still never received the rest, despite asking a further two times. Food quality has been good both times but the service is chaotic (even the time before when we had all our dishes). A real shame as this could be really good if the Front of House staff were better trained"

"We were very disappointed with our visit to the Honest Lawyer. We could have complained but didn't want to spoil our evening. It was felt the staff were very inexperienced, the food was tasteless and bland; definitely not the usual food we have eaten here before. The ambiance of the place felt different than before and we really didn't feel welcome. We were a party of 6. 4 of us had the duck and 2 the cod. The duck was very tough and not cooked quite enough, oozing with blood. The cod dish was tasteless and bland. The picture on Facebook of the duck dish was nothing like the dish we were served; we were short of vegetables. It didn't taste like duck but of blood. We would advise using a little more seasoning and ensure the food tastes good before being served. The crushed potatoes were horrible and definitely no seasoning added. All we can say is; the issues are probably caused through badly trained staff and shortages of skilled and experienced hospitality staff probably due to Covid and Brexit. We appreciate that the hospitality industry has been badly affected but it was poor vale for money and not a good experience. Very sad to say we wont be back."

"Our order was taken when we were ready, the food was nice and tasty, good portion size. However,we had a bit of a wait(possibly because they cook fresh)other people arriving after us recieved their food before us.Our starters were served at different times which was a bit annoying,we would have rather eaten at the same time.During our meal we asked for prawn crackers, which were served when our meal was almost finished Overall the meal was enjoyable"

"There's surprisingly few pubs in the capital that serve really good food. In pure number terms, there are over 7,000 pubs in London yet only The Harwood Arms has a star. It does mean that finding a pub that will reliably serve up a good meal is rare, and when found, very much to be welcomed, which makes The Malt House in Fulham an absolute keeper. We didn't of course pick The Malt House at random, and living East as we do, Fulham is a bit of a journey, but there's a very good reason to make the journey to the The Malt House if you like food. Two good reasons in fact. The first is that the pub is owned by Claude Bosi, holder of two Michelin stars at Hibiscus, and believe it or not, on the...read more"

"Wonderful greeting when we arrived...we had booked a room for the night and arranged for our friends to join us for a Sunday Lunch to celebrate my birthday so a very lovely table for 10 was laid out for us...my only complaint about the food was i thought the beef was a little tough...and struggled to cut it...but apparently the pork and the chicken was a hit....it was a very friendly atmosphere there...great local people were very chatty and welcoming....and so lovely to receive a complimentary glass of bubbles from the bar.... Our room was lovely very nicely decorated..relaxing..just a tad too hot for us..tried to turn off rad in bathroom..but it stayed extremely hot throughout the night......breakfast was nice. ... ...we will definitely return to the Cricketers..i had a brilliant birthday..Thank You All x"

"Overall, this was a pretty mediocre dinner for me. I made a reservation for myself, but the host still put two menus down. This led to the server taking their time thinking I was waiting for someone else when I wasn’t. Very good selection of drinks, however I don’t believe this restaurant believes in seasoning of any kind. Everything was extremely bland, but once I added salt and pepper to my burger it was marginally better. Also, my server was good, but every other staff member I came in contact with seemed annoyed I was there. It also turns into a club around 7 pm, and the music was so loud that everyone started screaming so they could talk to each other. I can confidently say I won’t be the back the next time I am in Manchester."

"Lovely little restaurant! Food was amazing and the staff were so upbeat and friendly can’t fault them : The only downside was after finishing our mains the place got a bit busy so our plates sat on our table for a while but that couldn’t be helped. Definitely recommend and will definitely return!"
