"The lunch was to celebrate my son's birthday, we had a really nice experience. Where I understand people may book a table and not turn up I am not one of these people, I understand you are a business and if I couldn't make it I would have cancelled. In 3 days I received 5 emails and 3 text messages reminding me which irritated me. Maybe do what some restaurants are doing now take card details on booking and if they don't turn up charge £5 per person for none attendance. Just an idea because even with all these reminders people may simply ignore them. Haven't been to harvester in a while it was my son's choice, the staff were friendly and food good I had the new dish salmon and was very tasty. I may come back soon Thank you"

"So is there anywhere for the kids to play? No, just the carpark. What if they try to walk around the pub? The grumpy duty manager doesn't like it. In fact he doesn't seem happy about anything and is abrupt and mumbles a lot from the moment we walk in (this was Sunday May, Harvester, if you would care to check who it was). The service was slow but we got what we ordered and it tasted fine and didn't cost any more than expected. The drinks refill and salad bar are good. I asked a waitress for some more cutlery and she was very helpful (I sure wasn't going to ask that grumpy duty manager). So it's ok but poor for kids and the attitude of at least one staff member is definitely sub-standard."

"visited yesterday (25th) and was welcomed by the manager ian who explained the covid protocols and set us. our waitress was thrown away from her feet as they can imagine (250 covers) greeted us with a smile and friendliness. we got our drinks and salate; and in time our main courses arrived. tash was just too happy to change things on our order and make our meal perfect. Fortunately, there was a table next to us that complained and laughed at the personal (inappropriate.) it irritated me that they did not know that the restaurant was full to the braut, but ian placed it excellent. the staff was torn by the feet, but nothing was too much annoyed and they went beyond and beyond to make sure that we had a beautiful meal in the Christmas season. we will definitely book again for next year. thanks to all at harvester bassetts pole."

"a female employee was very rude. we wanted to sit outside when we had a puppy. the lady said no when we had not booked the puppies for dinner. asked for an ashtray twice, we do not receive it before arrived drinks. we had no serviettes or cutlery. the main course did not yet come cute or salate. we always ask for cute. I didn't get annoyed. so no very pleasant meal at all."

"This was the first time we had been here. I will definitely be visiting again. The service was fantastic despite being a little early for our table. Didn’t have to wait for anything. "If you like Sugar and salt this is the place for you. Tried a few dishes, all cream sauces taste the same and loaded with sugar. Pakora loaded with salt. Shame this place has declined, their curry sauce used to be the best years ago under the hotel, now everything is loaded with sugar and salt. Hope this place gets its self back to the good old days. Also they own the carry out at Hardgate cross besotted McHughs Estate agents, there are much better places like Rajani in Bearsden who deliver and don’t do re-heats even with the starters. They also don’t use colouring and their prawns are much larger. Hope the Bombay sort themselves out and get back to the good old days and cut back on colouring and additive’s and sugar salt. Fresh and no more reheats will get you back to the best in Clydebank. Please do it !!"

"I visited the restaurant for their Caribbean Sunday lunch and world food buffet, expecting a pleasant experience in a venue with a five-star hygiene rating. However, upon arrival, I was met with a dim, uninviting atmosphere, an empty space, and sticky floors and tables — it’s unclear how they received such a high hygiene rating. Additionally, the staff seemed unaware of my reservation, despite booking a few days prior and receiving a reminder the day before. Overall, it’s difficult to assess the restaurant fairly, as I didn't stay long and decided to leave for a lovely place in another town."

"Worst fish and chips ever . Actually thought they had given us 2 sausages instead of fish as resembled a long fish finger sausage type shape . Definitely not a piece of fish , must have been formed and made into this shape . Simple long piece of batter with small amount of fish in it . Batter wasn’t crisp just wet sludgy texture Vegan burger was equally awful and resembled an undercooked piece of meet in a bun with no extras except a small bag of salad on the side . No sauces , no nothing just a dry burger in bun Food was inedible so ended up paying £44 to eat chips ! Will never be going back again as it was the worst takeaway I think we’ve ever had , if I could give zero stars I would"

"Eat is good. I ordered 2 butter rolls and 2 sausages because the children wanted, the delivery had only one butter roll. I called the last to let them know and got a very rude man who ended on the other, he said it could be an hour until I get it to them, and I said it wasn't use because the child sausage would be cold and he said it was just a roll, no big thing, the ignorant sod was fast enough to load me for the butter roll. in any case, the chippy would not use again simply because of the setting this guy"

"An extremely poor and over priced roast lunch. My wife and I had roast pork and my son roasted beef. The pork was tasteless and the beef tough, even though it was presented 'pink '. Roast potatoes soft and the accompanying vegetables over cooked. The gravy jus watery and tasteless. We also requested some 'pigs in blankets ' these were prices at £1 per sausage(! they were 'stewed ' rather than roasted terrible flavour. We were refunded the cost of the 'pigs in blankets ' after we complained. An extremely poor experience and a total of lack of cooking skill(s . The roast pork lunch was priced at £19 and the roast beef at £22. Grossly over priced and poor value."

"I have just got back from an unfortunately VERY disappointing meal here today. I was recommended this place by a friend who said the food was great, and as it is so local to me we thought we would try. However, we went in and first off the only menu was a Sunday one which just offered various meats with standard roast accompaniments, no matter o chose a steak as it said it came with chips and onion rings. My first mistake. Secondly we ordered some bread and olive oil and balsamic dip. And a lamb shank. It took 53 minutes for the kitchen to send out our order and we didn’t even get the bread and olive oil to pick on. We had to ask a very rushed looking waitress how long table 59 would be, and could we at least have our bread and dip. She went in and came out another 5 minutes later with two plates one with bread and oil and another with some kind of pate on it. I said straight away we hadn’t ordered it so she took it away and then reappeared 5 minutes later carrying the same plate and saying that we had in fact paid for it so it was ours. No refund or apology was offered so I graciously said ok, we will try it. It was AWFUL, really warm pate and the bread was dry. Awful. Now onto the mains; My steak turned up with peas which I did not order. It was also bland and unseasoned and was brought dry with no sauce options or anything. I ate a few mouthfuls and ate 5 chips and I honestly couldn’t eat anymore as it was just tasteless and chewy. The lamb shank was ok, the gravy with it had no flavour at all and there was no salt or pepper offered or on the table at all ‍. We waited another 35 mins and no one came over to check or ask us if everything was ok. In the end. We got so fed up we left. I am incredibly disappointed, I never moan or put up reviews but I actually feel seriously unhappy that a meal for two cost me £65 in a mediocre setting and was flavourless. That combined with being charged for a starter neither of us would ever order in a million years and the fact we had to clear our own table and dust ash off of it gave me an experience I’m massively unhappy about. For a restaurant with apparent 4 stars online it was mediocre at best. And that is only because the lamb shank and a few mushrooms on my plate were edible and I was hungry! I really would like to hear back from someone, and for you to morally do the right thing and have my ‘unordered’ starter refunded back to me at some point. I have no issue in returning in the future however I would like some assurance that the whole experience will be far better and that all the issues here are addressed to give me an incentive to come back again."

"I booked a couple of rooms for two nights and, to be honest, I didn't expect much for the price. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the facilities at the Belmill. The rooms were spotless - my wife even did a thorough inspection and gave it 10/10 for cleanliness. The shower room was very modern with double shower heads and complimentary toiletries. The tea/coffee tray was well stocked with delicious biscuits. The towels were large, fluffy, and white. The bed had crisp white linens and was comfortable. The food at the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast started a bit late, but it was worth the wait. The next morning, a lovely basket of fresh towels, toiletries, and biscuits was left outside our door with a welcoming note from Tricia, letting us know to ask for more towels if needed. I've been to many hotels, but the warm welcome we received at the Belmill made me eager to return."

"Monday 24th may. The blue ball opened its doors once again. My wife and I enjoyed a superb lunch; the food was excellent in every way. The quality and taste was absolutely spot- on and the portions generous. The staff at this venue are friendly and professional. Very welcoming and giving a great service. The Blue Ball pub restaurant offers a delightful space, both indoors and out doors. We are looking forward to the warmer days when we my, once more sit outside again and enjoy a drink and more of the delicious food on offer. Great place in a great location"
