"This restaurant is amazing. We ordered the Burrito bullets and they were huge! Great value for the money, with all the fixings included - acid, guac, and cheese - not like most Mexican restaurants that charge extra for these toppings. The server was nice and quickly realized we were new customers, so she was super friendly and took her time showing us all the different options we could add to our meal. It was an amazing experience!"

"We were part of a party of celebrating a birthday, all meals were ordered in advance, when it came to serving it was shambolic wrong orders going to people very slow service by the time the last meals were Brough out, over half had...already finished eating. Ran out of certain sauces even tho they were pre ordered. Ran out of toilet rolls also napkins. Would not recommend going here for food. Also upstairs the only music playing was via an echo so alexa was busy too."

"Considering the current global challenges facing restaurants, I must admit that my expectations were not met at this establishment. Nevertheless, I appreciate their decision to remain open and provide food during these difficult times. I would like to give them 5 stars for that alone, but my review is primarily based on the food itself. Located in the Leith area and offering a non-authentic Mexican cuisine, I found my steak burrito and tacos to be below average in taste. However, the accessibility, friendliness of the staff, and portion sizes were commendable. The prices were reasonable and you definitely get value for your money. While I may not return, I left feeling satisfied. My recommendation would be for them to focus on incorporating more garlic, onion, and citrus flavors through marinades or infused rice in their dishes."

"great place, beautiful vegan cuisine, especially the Buddha bowls. eating is super colorful, but above all, it is amazingly delicious. it is very well thought out and each component is delicious, but everything is well balanced together. the personal is attentive and friendly, the ambiente very pleasant and the toilets are clean and well equipped. not very accessible as they must be able to go down to enter, but it is dog friendly and the coffee is delicious!"

"With restrictions, the sun is out... my little family of 2 adults and two children under 10 were in the mood for a treat. Hare and Hounds have not disappointed. We tried the Tofu-Buo-Buos and our taste buds were blown! Then to follow excellent crispy and generously proportional fish and chips for dad and the two children, while mom enjoyed a beautiful poached sea stream dishes. Dessert was also a creditor, the chocolate corner. Unusually I know, but we enjoyed a beautiful, rich dark old Veinfandel with our fish sauce. And half a pinch of Bambino as a palate cleaner! We left with satisfied appetites and look forward to our next return. The menu changes every month we believe."

"Food and drinks are getting worse each time and now even the service was bad. Last time we went there the food was just bad, the cocktails were so bad that they even the manager said she wouldn’t drink it. "Lots of room for improvement! The place is small but cozy. The entrance is welcoming with a couch and coffee table, some books and a minimalist decoration. Music is spot on! Not too loud, perfect for the moment. Menu is not long but enough. I think about this place more like a “vegan fast food place”, just pizzas, hamburgers and fries (a few other items but not really relevant). I thought because of the simple menu, I could have it fast but I waited for almost an hour to realize, they gave my order to another party. Had to wait 15 more minutes after the fact. I almost left because they didn’t have cakes, cookies or something else to snack on or have a coffee with. Management wise, there were two girls, one that seems to care (a lot) and one than couldn’t care less!"

"Upon first impression, a half breakfast may appear lacking, but do not be deceived! My recent dining experience at So Spot was exceptional - eggs, tomatoes, homemade beans, sausage, and sourdough toast combined to create a hearty and tasty meal. "We booked a table for my daughter’s birthday in the patio area, when we arrived made to feel that we were being a nuisance by wanting to sit out on the patio, it appeared to have been closed off in preparation for the rugby. When we booked no one tried to make contact with us to advise us of this change. Food order taken , but the order was wrong. My daughter order the prosciutto truffle pizza with burrata, but she got a sticky cheese pizza with prosciutto (very good job she doesn’t have a nut allergy or we would be spending her birthday in A E as it had walnuts on) . The service was appalling , No one came to check the food was ok. Felt that we were ignored. We have used this pub on numerous occasions over the last 6 months including my mums wake following her death. And this the second time in a row that we have not been happy with the service or food. Very unhappy as it spoilt my daughter’s birthday (first one without her grandmother) so made it more difficult/emotional than it needed to be. When we got the bill , we mentioned the pizza was wrong, the waiter blamed the change of menu and the chef for the mistake and offered a free dessert not accepted."

"We’ve been coming here for maybe 20 years because it’s at the start (or end depending on which way you’re heading) of the Snowdon Watkin path. Which in my opinion is the best route in terms of scenery. The first time we came here a long time ago when veganism wasn’t as big a deal, the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. They made my partner a lovely hummus and onion sandwich with crisps on the side even though it wasn’t on the menu. From that time onwards, the food has just been getting better and better. Today (17.09.23) we shared an amazing cheese toasty with tasty French onion soup on the side. I also ordered a spring onion roll with salad and coleslaw. Both meals were of a standard that you would struggle to find anywhere in the area. I’m certain you won’t find any cafe, pub or restaurant in the nearby Beddgelert that can compete as I’ve already walked, cycled and driven through there numerous times this year and found nothing worth writing about. Keep it up!"

"Have walked past here so many times, but haven’t had chance to try anything. After a longer trip to town than anticipated we walked past El Contador at Lunch and feeling very hungry we stopped on our way home. I had chicken molé tacos and my Husband had the beef brisket bowl, our little boy who was with us, can be a picky eater so he said he didn’t want anything, but the lady in there kindly popped some chicken and rice in a little bowl for him to try at no extra charge, which was so lovely and he actually really enjoyed it! Food was amazing and you could tell how fresh everything was, definitely give this a try if you’ve ever wandered past, but not ordered! Will definitely be back again"

"I 've been ordering at Boojum religiously since 2010 (including an extended period of eating them twice a week for my lunch), and would have always sung its praises to anyone who would listen. It was always a real pleasure of an occasion, eating a Boojum bowl, day or night. I 've eaten them in their hundreds over the past decade.But there cannot be any doubt, in my mind, that as prices have shot up, quality and consistency has dropped, and dropped sharply. Where once you didn 't mind at all paying the prices because the portions were tasty and generous, it seems over the past 18 months or so a penny-pinching malaise has taken permanent root.Whether it 's the toss-up of getting a decent portion or a half-filled bowl for your £9, or the order being wrong when Deliveroo bring it, or having to beg for more than a teaspoon of guacamole, or clearly seeing that the pulled pork portion is laughable when you pull back the lid, you really get the clear impression it is no longer about the food and experience anymore. It 's about firing food out as fast as you can, and quality control being an afterthought. I don 't just apply this to the Chichester Street branch, the Botanic branch has gone the same way.I don 't have the heart to give Boojum a poor score overall, given the history of wonderful meals i 've had. And you may go there and get the biggest, best bowl of your life. But i can no longer openly recommend it, not with the inconsistencies and price point."
