"We visited this restaurant yesterday on Wednesday, March 8th. We ordered two main meals for £10.49 each and had the option to add a starter or dessert for an additional £2.50. The food was amazing. The chips were homemade, just like my nan used to make. The starter was great for our children, aged 3 and 1, who enjoyed the chicken goujons with a dipping sauce. Our meals were delicious and we got a lot of food for the price. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Additionally, they offer different types of buffet food every night for an added cost."

"We visited here for the first time last night. Originally thought it was just potatoes but it does so much more, burgers, pizza, chips etc. I had pulled pork burger with chips and my husband had chilli con carne burger with chips. The chips were gorgeous as were the burgers and very filling. I had 1 cocktail and my husband had 2 and it came to £42.90. I would highly recommend service was great too and nice atmosphere."

"I reserved a double room at an Airbnb for the night with my partner, both of us being vegan. We were excited to check out the city. Unfortunately, the room we were given was extremely dirty and dusty, with a piece of cardboard covering a broken window. The bed was uncomfortable, with no mattress protector and a missing light bulb in the bedside lamp. We decided to leave and informed the bar staff, who were apologetic and promised a refund. They mentioned that this was not the room we had booked initially. However, when we contacted the host Marc, he insisted that we should have waited for a deep clean and refused to acknowledge that the room did not match the advertisement. Despite mentioning that they would no longer be offering rooms, it was disappointing to witness such a lack of accountability. I will not be supporting this business any further due to their inadequate response. I advise against staying there. The low price reflects the poor quality and the lack of responsibility for their mistakes."

"Had seen plenty of good reviews of the cafe in the park decided it was our lunch venue with the family on a reasonably nice day. Inside was packed but thankfully got a space outside. Again, queue was pretty long, but actually got served fairly quickly, and food turned up not too long after that. Everyone liked the food they had and it was far better than I probably would have expected. The only downside to our visit, and this is no fault of the cafe, was the people who seemed to be unable to control their dogs when not on a lead at one point we had a small dog under our table, which initiated a bit of a shriek from our daughter (always fearful since a dog stole her sausage roll a couple if years back!"

"My friends and I visited this wetherspoons for a friends leaving night, Had a good laugh until the Tracy (who i assume was the manager) told us that if we didnt have ID we would have to leave by 8pm, okay that was fine but...at 8:15 my friend had bought an alcoholic free kopparberg, and at 8:25 Tracey came over to our table and asked for everyones ID, My friend who had purchased the alcohol free drink didnt bring her ID with her, was asked to leave which was fair enough but she wasnt allowed to finish her drink or take it outside and didnt allow any sort of refund as she had only had a tiny bit of it. I just found Traceys attitude really rude and frankly I was disappointed in how it was handled. I also work in hospitality and if i had treated a customer like this, I would no longer have a job. Hope this doesnt happen to anyone else and hope the attitude changes within this establisment."

"The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful so I cannot fault them, however we were left disappointed with our lunch meals; the ploughman’s consisted of 2 slices of meat; 2 wedges of cheese, 1 slice of bread and some salads/pickles. I felt this was an incredibly small portion for £12 and left the platter looking (and my belly feeling) bare. What was on the platter was tasty, but there simply wasn’t enough. Similar story with the charcuterie board unfortunately."

"Popped in for a quick meal after a long flight, about 45 minutes before closing. Katsu chicken lovely but while I was eating the toilet was being cleaned by a staff member in full view of where I was seated.. not what you want to...see whilst eating, very unprofessional. Girl drinking a pint bellowing orders at staff. Felt rushed and couldnt wait to leave. On a positive note, male staff friendly and smiley but need more training."

"Six of us ate at the Tom Foolery (where we had eaten and enjoyed on a previous occasion) at lunchtime on Bank Holiday Monday, but it seems that someone had failed to tell them that it was a BH, so no sausages and no sourdough was the starting point (by lunchtime it was quiet) A bacon sandwich and double bacon on the breakfast were accepted. All the bacon eaters were disappointed at how overdone the bacon was when it arrived. I ordered poached eggs on the focaccia substitute a pity that there was no mention on the menu of the balsamic that was sprayed all over my food. Usually, I would have sent it back but the wait was not worth it, half not eaten. Other choices arrived without the promised side elements. Drinks were ordered; Dr. Peppers magically turned into Coke and one drink just didn’t arrive – it is digitally recorded on the till, so how are such basic errors made? Very disappointing and a location we will not return to."

"Before we even sat down, another couple warned us that some menu items were unavailable. While waiting for our meals, we noticed another table having issues with their orders. By the time they received their food, we were already halfway through our meals, even though they had ordered long before us. It took them three attempts to get their orders right, which ultimately didn't happen, and they ended up receiving a refund. This felt unwarranted, particularly since there were only two tables occupied in the entire restaurant. We opted to order from the main menu instead of the discounted one, but we quickly realized that the dishes were priced the same as the daytime menu. We were charged an additional £6 for a side salad with each of our three meals and £6 more for a single slice of bacon on another. The drinks were expensive but refillable. Unfortunately, the drinks machine was out of order, and the staff claimed they were too busy to fix it, despite the restaurant being nearly empty. As for the food, it was decent, but nothing outstanding. My partner and mum ordered desserts, which we waited 30 minutes for in a nearly empty restaurant. After inquiring about the long wait at the bar, we were assured our desserts were on the way, but after another 20 minutes and another visit to the bar, they admitted they were out of stock. After processing a refund and receiving no apologies, we decided to leave. This was a deeply disappointing experience, and I had hoped to make this restaurant a regular stop because of its location. My parents firmly stated they would never return to Brewers Fayre again."

"I get the feeling the burritos from the van were a little better tortilla felt a bit dry and cold today and seemed to be a different texture. Used to do free guac with veggie filling but not anymore. The peppers are a bit Crunchy.. could do with a more inventive veggie filling! Nonetheless, a warming wholesome meal with flavour and nice to see they now have a space!"

"it is all to change again, but thanks to the coffee is ace really top notch, shaded and perfectly roasted. funny enough while we find the rich from latte to macchiato, cappuccino by flat white etc. gibraltar is nowhere to find, not as much as. the customized glass. the personal remains as cheerful as always, despite the fact that their business must be desperate, and their reasonable prices remain the same. it's only here again with another lock-off, but the policy doesn't call it a lock. These people are still paid, they enjoy nominated wage increases (imaginable that they can decide on their own wage increases and who have recently given their support staff (in many cases family members a wage (and associated pension) increase. maya like so many companies have lots of things at a theke near the door to sanitise and here is the thing that the type that makes the coffee I can go, feet stand from him and give him money to pay and take a coffee and change from him. but if he had this machine in his kitchen, I couldn't go for a free coffee in his house. I could work with him all day, but I could not sit for a beer with him in a local bar for half an hour, but we could meet in the local church for an hour service. So look. So they think about how important it is to help small independent, especially in these strange times when the only certain are dead, control and grab money, dishonest politicians."

"My brother and I are regular eaters of the restaurant, like 3,4 times a wk eaters. 2 wks ago, I took my 5 year old daughter in and asked to use the toilet. The guy behind the counter said no. I replied that all the public ones are closed and she 's desperate. He said, "Well.... I can 't help you. After a couple of minutes of pleadings with him, he said I have to buy something and pay for it first. I said OK. But u need to pay now, I said before she can use the toilet? He said yes. I paid £11 after telling him to just make anything that would cover the cost of my 5 year old using the toilet for a wee. A wee, which didn 't happen because she already wet herself by him refusing her access to the facilities and telling me I have to buy and pay upfront for something first. Never again. And I will be letting my followers know of this."

"Guapo has always been a firm favorite of mine. Recently, I have noticed the price increase which I didn't mind because of the quality amount of food you get for your money. Unfortunately, the portion sizes have continued to get smaller!!!! I thought it was a one off but my last four purchases have been small and below par. I have had to pay for extra portions which I've never had to do before. Instead of automatically going to Guapo for a treat I now second think it and have been going elsewhere for more value for money. Hopefully the portions sizes will return to what they used to be to reflect the price increase."

"We were really looking forward to our brunch, unfortunately it didn’t live up to our expectations. Firstly I called to reserve a table to be told on arrival that it wasn't available only then to be seated but no apology. The drinks were bought out at different times 20 minutes for 2 teas Latte had already been drank. We were contemplating leaving but finally our food came. The beans were cold and had to be sent back. The ‘Right Stuff’ was cold but as we had already waited almost an hour decided just to eat it. The staff looked like it was chore to be there 0 customer service, such a shame as the Morning Burrito was very tasty just a shame it took so long to come out. All in all if you have an hour to wait for food and don’t mind poor service go you’ll have a great time!"

"Friendly and helpful staff— I’m gluten free and asked me if I waa coeliac which is good as not many places do. Had delicious gluten free bread and vegan cheese! Usually GF bread is rubbish and tasteless but I’ll definitely be returning for thst kimchi toastie, I was skeptical at first as I love kimchi but have never had it warm and with cheese but it was 10/10! Also the juice was delicious. I got the Beet juice"

"I 'd never been here before and wouldn 't go again based on this experience. The menu made no sense and the staff made no effort to explain how it worked. I was under pressure to order, so just asked for a 'vegetarian burrito '. The girl who served me then asked which meat I wanted (on my VEGETARIAN burrito! and she spoke in such a rushed manner I could barely make out what any of the other options were. The resulting burrito was tasteless, bland and soggy. The 'fajita veg ' had no seasoning on, and the mushrooms were essentailly undrained tinned mushrooms. Masses of liquid poured out the bottom of the foil as soon as I picked it up to eat, and I ended up eating it with a knife and fork. We also ordered a portion of chips between us, but we 'd nearly finished our burritos by the time these were ready. Really disappointing considering it cost £25 for two burritos, two soft drinks and one portion of chips. We could have gone to a proper Mexican restaurant for that price and had far better food and service. On a positive note, the chips were nice (once they arrived , and my husband really enjoyed his jerk chicken burrito, but I 'm afraid I won 't be visiting again nor recommending this place to anyone else."

"Coffee was good. Food not as described. Mushrooms on toast consisted of we past their best mushrooms (very black) rock hard butter and toast on the side. So not mushrooms on toast. Whole place could do with attention to details, table was sticky, overall I was disappointed with level of cleanliness. Staff rather indifferent, lady on the till very welcoming but after that???"
