"Visited today with my partner and parents as halfway between our 2 locations. Had a great meal at another brewers fayre last week so expected the same. Well what a disappointment. Before we had sat down another couple had warned us that some food was unavailable. Whilst waiting for our meals another table was having trouble with their orders and by the time they had their meal served we had already got halfway theough ours even though they ordered well before us. They took 3 attempts to get their food right which they didn't achieve and gave a refund. Which we heard very excuse as there was only the 2 tables occupied in the whole restaurant. We decided to order from the main menu rather than the discount menu and the meals came the same as the daytime menu. 6 pound more for a side salad on each of the 3 meals and 6 pounds more for one slice of bacon on another compared to the daytime menu. Drinks were very expensive but refillable. Infortunately the drinks machine machine refused to work.and the staff said they where to busy to fix even though there was barely anyone in the restaurant. The food was ok but nothing special. My partner and mum ordered a pud for afters which we waited 30 minutes for in a restaurant with no one else in as every one had eaten and left. After visiting the bar to question the wait we were promised our puddings but they never materialised as after another 20 minutes and upon visiting the bar again they admitted they had none in stock. One refund later and zero apologises we left. Very disappointing and was hoping to make this a regular visit due tonits location. Parents said they would never visit or use brewers fayre again."

Went for a family Sunday lunch, the carvery was lovely and the Kids had a great time in the play area. I have to mention the excellent service we had, I have hearing loss and asked for the music to be turn down/off above our table, chloe and the team went out of their way to help. This small thing made my dinner 100% more enjoyable as I could hear the rest of my family. Thank you. Meal type: Lunch

"Absolutely delicious! The Filling Station Cafe: I have been to the Filling Station very many times over the last 5 years that I have lived in King 's Lynn. The premises; facilities, staff and food throughout that time have been consistently superb. The high quality of the food/beverages never changes. Always superb. Fresh, locally sourced ingredients and all meals prepared and cooked on the premises, makes for a lovely experience these days when we live in world full of coffee shop chains offering mass produced pre packaged foods. The staff are cheerful, professional, helpful and friendly the staff don 't change either which for me speaks volumes about how they feel at work too there is always a calm yet cheery atmosphere in the Filling Station. The value for money is excellent. Afternoon Tea: In addition I chose the Filling Station for the Catering for my 60th Birthday 'Afternoon Tea ' delivered to a local village hall and for 30 people. It was absolutely superb. Delicious finger sandwiches (5 different fillings); home made individual mini quiches, cheese scones with various toppings sausage rolls. This was all followed by a special request for variety of lemon cookies, Viennese fingers; millionaire slices and flap jacks alongside plain scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream. This was all delivered to a venue some 10 miles away and was absolutely superb! Fresh, delicious and beautifully presented! The quality was magnificent and it was superb value for money. I would highly recommend the Filling Station for it 's consistently superb quality; beautiful café; wonderful staff; equally excellent catering service and value for money."
