Very nice, a proper village pub. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. Nice sized portions and prompt service. Good choice of beers, both real ales and kegs. Will definitely make a return visit.

What a beautiful pub! Tiny (to modern standards), but with a large, varied menu. Sunday lunch was a huge part, and the 'junior' part was perfect tbh. Friendly staff was the 'own' on a delicious 'cheek' thanks.

Great beer, great food and lovely atmosphere! Like I say, nice range of ale type beers to choose from, and went for the trio of Sausages with onion gravy and creamy mash..... delicious! Would definitely recommend visiting this pub if you are in the area!

Superb community owned pub ,smallish bar but well equipped with none of your run of the mill brands ,only quality brands on sale . Very keen on cask ale ,terrific selection available, and beautiful gardens at rear of pub ,all in all a fantastic venue ,well done all involved

Music event was fantastic, we had a great time, well organised, great garden, good music, great food, good tunes and a brilliant atmosphere..I heard there will be a similar event in September, BRING IT ON....what a great way to spend a summers evening...WELL DONE TO YOU ALL

With restrictions, the sun is out... my little family of 2 adults and two children under 10 were in the mood for a treat. Hare and Hounds have not disappointed. We tried the Tofu-Buo-Buos and our taste buds were blown! Then to follow excellent crispy and generously proportional fish and chips for dad and the two children, while mom enjoyed a beautiful poached sea stream dishes. Dessert was also a creditor, the chocolate corner. Unusually I know, but we enjoyed a beautiful, rich dark old Veinfandel with our fish sauce. And half a pinch of Bambino as a palate cleaner! We left with satisfied appetites and look forward to our next return. The menu changes every month we believe.

It's lovely to have a decent pub within a short distance of home with a very good range of local real ciders, I think Cambs and East Anglian ciders can give west country and Welsh ciders a run for their money these days and there's a good selection available in the Hare Hounds. Bar staff, regulars and locals all very friendly. A good sized garden too, so if you're still a bit cautious on the covid front, there's plenty of outdoor space. My partner is a real ale drinker and enjoys the regularly rotating range of ales on offer and finds them to be served in good condition too. I've dined there on a couple of occasions as well and the quality of the food is very good. Booking for a Friday eveni...
