"first we came in and it was really ugly. there were quiet music and the furniture was really nice. next we ordered, but our waitress was a bit grumpy. but our food came in 14 minutes. it is like almost food restaurant. the Canadian breakfast was really good and the pancakes were huge and delicious. it is a really good restaurant and some of the waiters are really polite. this is a definite 4-star restaurant I just turned 12"

"We visit Aqua in Bromley on a fairly regular basis. The staff are always extremely welcoming especially Dasos. We ordered three meze boards and one steak which were all delicious, followed by Irish and Baileys coffees accompanied by Baileys Creme brûlée’s and a poached pear, everything was superb as always and we left having thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Hand sanitiser was readily available, tables were as per government guidelines, we had a screen in between our table and the next and everybody wore masks to go to the facilities. Well done Dasos and your team, keep up the good work"

"We were initially seated and given the menu, but we noticed there was no drinks menu. When we tried to order drinks, the server assumed we already knew what we wanted despite not having a drinks menu. We ordered wings that were overcooked, but the shrimp was tasty. Next, we ordered the skewers. The skewers were brought to our table, but we were left to cook them ourselves. When we tried to cut the meat off the skewers, another waiter scolded us and said that the other waiters would have taken care of it for us. Overall, the service was lacking, particularly from the Asian server with glasses. The skewers themselves were delicious, but we experienced better service at a more affordable restaurant."

"Our first meal after being husband and wife. The ambience and service was fantastic. We did order some water which was forgotten about but when asked again it came quickly. The quality of the food was superb with so many different flavours. I would highly recommend the chilli prawns to start and seabass for the main."

"Went to Meat Co for my anniversary. There was a hair in my steak. I'm not so much annoyed about this but was more frustrated at the attitude from the Manager. Firstly, she denied that there was a hair making me feel as if I was lying about it. Secondly, they expected my boyfriend to eat his food whilst i watched him for 30 minutes whilst a new steak was cooked. Had to keep pushing for our food to come together, rolled her eyes took all the food and brought back the food altogether. Bad experience on this occasion but have previously had a good experience at this restaurant."

"I have been to aqua on many occasions now.. first dates.. valentine's.. birthdays ... And on every occasion I have always been happy with the food, drinks and service ... "Took my nephew for a pre theatre meal. Lovely food and red wine, great service. Easy to get to from London Bridge station. My nephew was really pleased with my choice of restaurant as he has spent the summer in Portugal with his girlfriends family and speaks flaunt Portuguese already. "One redeeming feature was the service, waiter attentive and friendly, food delivered to us promptly. Unfortunately I cannot say such nice things about the food. Starters were the Doughballs and Calamari, both of which were pretty average. The 'herb butter ' (or whatever the dip for the Doughballs is called) was very bland, only serving to give the Doughballs a greasy texture. No complaints about the Calamari, but I won 't be rushing to recommend it to anyone. The mains however, were bad. We ordered the Beef Burger and the Italian Hot Pizza. The Burger was dripping in mayo, and I mean properly dripping think of a Christmas pudding with icing dribbling down the sides, that 's what this burger looked like. Fries served with the Burger were noticeably microwaved, but the Patty and Veg were passable. The Italian Hot is visually appealing, and the pizza base is okay, but my god were the toppings bland. If it wasn 't for my eyesight and a vague taste of cheddar cheese or monterey Jack, I would not be able to tell if I was eating warm soggy cardboard or a Pizza. I should note that the pizza is only topped by mozzarella, according to the menu. Thoroughly dull food, and quite overpriced for the quality. Why am I writing this? What did I expect, from a chain restaurant? Well, a lot more than this. I 'm by no means a fussy eater and certainly not one to leave 1/5 review for a soggy pizza base in Frankie and Benny 's. The real sin of this meal is what it does to the gut my partner and I feel physically ill after eating here, like we want to go home and eat lettuce for the rest of our lives to detox our bodies. It 's bad, and absolutely not worth the money. If you 're hungry, go to Tescos and get a meal deal, it 's much tastier, healthier, and reasonably priced. It 's not worth it."

"My husband and I met friends here this afternoon. Luckily we sat at a large table so could spread out and there was plenty of room for all our food and drinks. We enjoyed various starters to share, arrancini balls, king prawns, mushrooms al forno, calamari and chips. Our friends opted for pasta dishes, we all enjoyed our food very much. It was my friend, Madeleine’s birthday, the waitress brought over a tiramisu with a candle, nice touch. We all enjoyed our visit to ASK, in fact the waitress recognised us from last year. This restaurant is a good choice for couples and friends. A member of staff called us a cab as requested which was appreciated. Thanks to you all for a lovely afternoon/evening"

"It was ok but wouldn’t be in a rush to return. Firstly we wasn’t greeted that great was just told our table wasn’t ready so we then walked over to the bar area. Once seated we was asked about 5 times within the first ten minutes which drinks we would like to order even though we was told a drinks menu was being brought over after 15 mins we was then given a drinks menu then after ordering it took around 15 -20 mins for drinks to arrive we then ordered our starters and mains which took around 40 minutes for the starters to arrive then shortly after we were asked twice if our mains should be brought out after not even being half way through our starter dishes. Once our mains were severed shortly after we was told we had only ten mins left on the table which wasn’t correct as we still had 35 mins after speaking to 4 different waiters and proving my booking time they eventually agreed for us to have the table to the correct time which even then didn’t feel like they wanted us to because of all the rushing at this point we didnt even want to stay. I would say the food was lovely but the staff let the experience down majorly like I say it’s nice but I would be in no rush to return"

"Visited Friday afternoon, restaurant was very quiet only a few people dining. We chose this restaurant due to a Voucher we had been given as a present. I am a vegetarian and found the set menu very limited. Starter was awful, had the beetroot one, not sure what the white food in the middle was but when you cut it just leaked white milky sauce over the plate! Partner had chicken wings, sauce was tasty but too messy and tricky to eat in a restaurant. The mains ordered, a veggie burger which was disgusting, looked liked a meat burger and was very over cooked and chewy. My partner tasted it, I took it out of the bun and just ate that and the chips which were hot and tasty. My partner had the meat burger and said it was delicious. The only saving dishes to this meal were the desserts, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate brownie. I would rather have eaten that 3x over than what I had been dished up prior. Drinks over priced, 1 small coke in a bottle and 1 small Moretti bottle £11 and then we had to pay service charge on top. Wouldn’t return, we’ve got another voucher to use but will be giving this away. Left hungry and disappointed."

"An Atmospheric, Culinary and Interior Jewel! I have lost count now on the amount of times I've visited The Black Friar, every single time it surpasses expectations. Simply put, it's stunning. The staff are amazing and genuine, which makes it such a nice time and visit. You are then walked through to the back where your eyes are opened to the beautiful kitchen and back extension. Now match that with the food and the gorgeous setting, it's just the best. The original pub features married with excellent architecture and decor makes it one of the best venues in Manchester. The seasonly rotating menus blow your taste buds and senses away. It's hard not to always have their famous pies, this visit I had the scallops, crispy porchetta with hassleback potatoes. Well, hassleback me there right now!!! Closed of with a decadent white chocolate and Bailey's choux bun and caramac crackling, the flavours, quality of food and presentation were exceptional."

"Would have loved to give a 5 for the value, we had a chilli calamari which was really disappointing. However, there was some good and some great too. I decided to go for the fish cake with poached egg, the texture was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, much the way I prefer them, the cake was nicely seasoned and the poached eggs nicely cooked and the whole thing very well presented. My partner decided on the Chicken Skewers with grain which she was more than happy with, not my taste. Now, the highlight the Kids Fish Fingers, not your typical kids meal, large fish finger which were mini Cods pieces So, in summary, don’t have the calamari find a child to take, take them to Mc Donald’s first and steal their Fish Fingers."

"Terrible Experience Unkind Staff and Poor Service I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this bar and restaurant was so frustrating that I feel compelled to share. From the moment we walked in, the staff were unwelcoming and seemed irritated by our presence. It felt like we were an inconvenience to them rather than valued customers. Our server was rude and dismissive, barely paying attention to our requests and acting like we were wasting their time. When we asked simple questions about the menu, they responded with a condescending attitude, as if we were bothering them. The entire atmosphere was uncomfortable, with no warmth or friendliness from any of the staff. To make matters worse, the food took forever to arrive, and when it finally did, it was mediocre at best. Combine that with the rude service, and it was easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. I definitely won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant night out. There are plenty of other places where the staff actually care about their customers. Avoid this place if you want to enjoy your evening!"

"I wouldn’t normally turn to Tripadvisor to write a slightly negative review but I couldn’t find the restaurants contact details to email direct so here goes… I firstly want to say that the staff here were very attentive, friendly and righted the wrongs that were done with ease and efficiently but these wrongs shouldn’t have happened in the first place. The restaurant is very chaotic. It is in Leicester Square so I’m sure it’s always busy but it seemed very disorganised. We were a table of 7 and only 3 of us ordered starters. 2 of those came out and then we had to chase the 3rd. To which the waiter said they were preparing it now. But it should have been prepared and come out all at the same time. Particularly when it was a cold starter. We then waited a while for the mains and had to chase again. I don’t mind a little time between courses but this was too long. I got given a steak with 2 sauces on and no butter. Trying to get the attention of a waiter was very hard. I eventually got someone and asked why there were 2 sauces on my plate. They didn’t know why and asked which sauce I had ordered. I said peppercorn and they placed the sauce on my plate and took the other one away. In all this confusion our sides had been left on an empty table near ours. The waiter asked if we needed anything else and we said “the sides on the table over there would be nice”. I tried my steak and it was perfectly cooked and then proceeded to pour my sauce over my steak and a mushroom fell out of the pot. Now I’m ALLERGIC to mushrooms and so now my steak is now inedible. I caught the attention of what looked like a manager as they were in plain clothes. I explained what had happened to which she asked me what sauce I had ordered and had I told someone about my mushroom allergy. I said I had told the waiter at the beginning of the meal when we ordered so no excuse to give me the wrong sauce. The sauces do look the same but maybe they should be labelled somehow especially when there’s allergies around. I got given a new steak within a few minutes. It was cold but not covered in mushroom sauce so that’s a bonus. The food was good I can’t fault that but something needs to be done about the service and attention to deal. I also ordered a butter to go with my steak which never appeared even after asking multiple times. I would recommend the food of this restaurant but just prepare yourself for a chaotic dinner."
