"The sandwich shop in Birmingham with the most feminine name actually serves huge portions fit for a man. When you walk into Dominique's, you'll quickly realize that this is not just any ordinary sandwich shop."

"I’m so glad that such a wonderful independent coffee shop has opened near town! Was allowed to bring in our dog Zeus and all staff extremely welcoming. Sat in the window and admired the interiors, which are stunning. Owner told us of his story and plans for the future (which I cannot wait for). Partner had a latte with lacto free milk and I had a large cup of tea. Tea came with plenty of milk usually only get a tiny cap full! Also had super huge rocky road which was incredibly tasty. All in 2 drinks and 2 large bits of cake only cost us just shy of £8 extremely well priced! Lovely shop with lovely staff and a lovely atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back"

"Last night we were the only ones in the restraunt at 7 on a full night, there was no menu, just a special card with 5. I chose sea bass when it was 45 minutes later it was overcooked. the Cajun chicken chosen by the woman was in the ground dry chicken and chips. we were at the mills at numerous locations, but will not go again when the dings improve"

"Attractively presented tea on a cakestand with 3 types of sandwiches, a scone each with cream and jam and a cake assortment. One of our party wanted Earl Grey tea which was supplied. Service was good except we weren't brought milk and had to ask. It came initially in a glass which was very hard to pour from but gave us entertainment! Then a jug was brought. We had top ups of our tea. The room was pleasant and staff were helpful and polite. Would go there again."

"I went for pre show dinner and found it very convenient nearby the Lowry. There are roadworks just outside the hotel at present so it didn’t look great from the outside, but the interior is fresh and modern. Very comfortable dining and really lovely staff. The tapas was tasty and beautifully served. It made a nice change from the eateries close by to the theatre and was only a 12 minute walk along the canals- which was also very pleasant! I would go again."

"One of the longest standing Italian restaurants in Bedford, and easily one of the best. They have an extensive wine selection both red and white, and we chose the Australian metal label shiraz which I highly recommend. All of the ingredients they use are fresh, and the special dishes of the evening, crayfish tail starter and full baked sea bass, tasted absolutely divine. My partner has coeliac disease, and they successfully catered for her and she really enjoyed both her Insalada Caprese starter and her main course of lamb chops cooked and seasoned to absolute perfection. They have easily earned their spot on our list of safe restaurants for sufferers of coeliac disease. For desert, I couldn 't resist the offer of homemade cheesecake, for which they have their own secret recipe. It was to die for. My partner opted for the Fragola Miele, which is comprised of yoghurt, honey, mixed seeds, nuts and fresh strawberries. It 's rather similar to a Greek ambrosia desert, only with a lot more delicious components. They hit a home run, for sure. You can bet we 'll be back before long. Come and enjoy an evening of pure Italian Mediterranean dining excellence here at Amici, a restaurant that is truly head and shoulders above the competition here in Bedford"

"After booking through the Internet and not knowing Wing, chose the queens head as it looked liked a good menu. Was a bit shocked on arrival to find that we were the only people booked for a Saturday lunch. We looked at the menu and were then told the specials three of us us had the bacon Gorgonzola risotto topped with smoked haddock and poached egg, one chose the seafood platter, all from the specials. The risotto was delicious, and the sea food platter was nearly empty so that was just as good. The ambiance wasn't what we were looking for but the food made up for it. Well done to the chef. The staff were friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble."

"A group of us had a lovely meal at Amici on a Friday night. Some had been before and said it was one of the best Italian restaurants in Bedford. Service and ambience were good too and we will return."

"I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The service was friendly and attentive, the food was prepared with care and the breakfast options looked delicious. I especially loved the granola and enjoyed a nice cup of black tea with milk. The atmosphere was also very cute."

"Made a booking for Sunday at 7.45 on the 16th of April. Reference B9PLKF4M Arrived and was asked if we where in just for drinks by a lady with dark hair who I think was the hostess/head waitress. Said we had a booking for food, which made her attitude towards us change considerably. She then proceeded to ask us did we book online, did we get an email , did we put down a deposit and she would need to see the email. She then went over to the chef and basically had an argument with him before seating us and said ill be back in a minute and you'll need to show me that email. We decided to leave after being made feel very unwelcome, the waitress definitely needs some re training or possibly work in another industry, poor attitude, unfriendly and pretty rude overall."

"I must say, I was so disappointed with my visit to Fredricks. My friend and I went for afternoon tea and were really looking forward to it. But we both found the experience really disappointing. Firstly the afternoon tea cakes looked nothing like the advert, nowhere near as fancy. The scones were lovely but we only had about a couple of tablespoons of cream between the two of us which wasn’t enough! The chap who initially gave us our tea was lovely but then once he had gone we didn’t see a soul. There was no one coming to check if we were ok or needed refills. I ended up drinking cold tea and my friend who had a coffee had nothing once that was finished. It wasn’t until we were practically finished that someone else came to have afternoon tea that we could actually grab someone to ask them for a refill! The ambiance of the afternoon tea was awful. Initially there was lovely music in the background but after about 15 mins it was turned off and we were left in silence. All we could hear were staff in the next room shouting to each other about something or other. There was no atmosphere at all and we actually felt like we shouldn’t be there! I’ve been to a number of afternoon teas and this was by far the worst one I have had. However this was my friends first afternoon tea and we thought that Fredricks would be fabulous for a first time tea..... but she was so disappointed! I felt really bad for her! : I don’t think I would come again."

"I highly recommend this beautiful hotel restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff were extremely friendly. We attended a wedding reception at the hotel, which was fantastic. Our overnight stay in a lovely room was also excellent. I would definitely suggest checking out this place."
