"The food at this restaurant was mediocre at best. Many dishes were overcooked and rubbery, with some appearing to be reheated. The salad was starting to go soggy and tasted off, while the noodles were both hard and burnt. Surprisingly, even the watermelon was dry, which is something I have never experienced before. Overall, it was quite disappointing, especially since we came for my daughter's birthday expecting a wide variety of choices but ended up with limited options. The price we paid did not match the quality of the food we received. I would not recommend this place."

"10% service charge hidden on the bill. Service was interesting : Food was OK. Not sure it was really value for money but this is London so maybe it is the going rate. Service details... It looked like there was a new waitress being 'trained ' by the waiter. Think more abused ignored. Waitress did little that we saw except clear tables and she looked so depressed poor girl. Waiter was wearing a suit with stains up the back, as was the cook. leading to questions about cleanliness. Waiter seemed to be pushing water and wine a fair bit. When we ordered soft drinks no ice in mine was the request, came with ice anyway) he went out the back, we saw him get the cans out, put them on the side and not return to them for around 15mins for no apparent reason. When the drinks finally arrived he asked if we were ready to order, we said yes, he walked off! Got his attention again about 15 mins later after he walked past several times, ignoring us. My wife ordered her meal, he wrote it down, got distracted by something and just walked off again! No one moment or excuse me while I sort something out just walked away. He eventually returned a few minutes later only to start the order all over as it seems he didn 't write the first bit down. Food came out a bit 'piece meal ' but fairly close together time wise, probably about 5 minutes for 5 dishes. Food was generally ok, service was more like something from faulty towers. Amusing if you 're not in a hurry."

"We’ve been to this restaurant many times and always had a good experience not sure what was going on this time though…. We received a phone call ten minutes before our booked time stating that the restaurant was going to close early (this was before 7pm on a Saturday evening! as we were just about to walk through the door, they begrudgingly deigned to let us have our planned meal… All fine with the food friendly and helpful waitress but by the time we’d finished our main course at 8.30, we realised we were the only people left in the restaurant (not even any staff who’d all disappeared out the back door when they eventually reappeared, we asked what was going on, but no one was willing to explain other than that they had to close early even the manager refused to give us an explanation needless to say, by this point our idea of a nice relaxing evening had evaporated so we chose not to have desserts. I hope the staff enjoyed their evening off I suspect they will be having many more if the management continue to treat their customers so shabbily (including a couple who hadn’t picked up their phone messages so had arrived for an 8.30pm booking only to be turned away! . Needless to say we won’t be returning…"

"Amazing place to come for great, flavourful Italian food. Came here for the first time last week and we had some truly good food, that tasted very authentic and was excellently made. We had the three courses for a set price option, which in some places reduces your choices for what to have but not here, the options are wide and varied and every taste is catered for. The starters were nice, I had the soup of the day (tomato) and my partner had the breaded mushrooms. It was the mains that stole the show though, I had the chicken breast in peppercorn and cream sauce which was gorgeous! I had the mixed vegetables as my side and all together made a truly lovely meal. My partner had the chicken stroganoff and she was blown away by it, even as far as to say it was the nicest she’s ever tasted! Compliments to the chef indeed. Deserts, again were very, very nice indeed, I’d highly recommend the cheesecake myself. We went on a Friday night, so as you can imagine it got busy, very busy. The restaurant itself is quite compact and a lot of tables have been put in here, so you do sit quite close to your fellow diners. It is close, but not close enough to become uncomfortable, there’s just enough space. The staff are highly attentive and serve you quickly whenever anything is needed. The food and drinks come quickly as well, you don’t have to wait long at all and all empty plates and glasses are cleared away quickly. Even though your orders come swiftly and plates go as soon as they are empty, you never feel rushed at all and as stated, the staff are very helpful, professional, polite and always serve you with a smile, it’s simple things like that, that make dining here a must. I’d highly recommend coming here if your craving good, hearty authentic Italian food."

"During our week in Alnwick, we dined at this restaurant three times. The first time, we hadn't made a reservation but they were able to accommodate us. We were glad they did because we didn't want to miss out on this place. They have a wonderful selection of wines by the glass, including red, white, and rosé, and everything we tried was fantastic. I would definitely recommend making a reservation as the restaurant was always busy, and it's easy to see why. The prices were reasonable, and I highly recommend this place for delicious food and excellent service."

"This was actually our second visit, having gone by chance over Christmas. We were very impressed then my son and his wife, who live in London, were wowed by the standard of the food and the terrific value for money. On this occasion we had a friend up from Nottingham and she too was suitably impressed. The menu has been tweaked since our previous visit, but the set option offers more that sufficient choice. The food is always fresh and piping hot. The sweets are homemade and highly recommended."

"Have never eaten here, but only ever heard positive feed back. Cousins birthday, I do not live in the area so rang to order some bottles of bubbles for the table. Only writing this as experience was very upsetting and I am still shocked. I spoke with a lady, explained cousin having birthday dinner (I did get name wrong that table was ordered under) so wanted to make sure was correct table. She said I was loud and shouting. I have a loud voice (nodules on voice box). But its also naturally loud as well. I do not raise my voice, it is not my style also my voice loud enough. It doesnt need raising. We finally worked out correct table, I then thought she had gone to get payment machine. But she just hung up. So I called back, another waitress answered. I explained previous call and again asked if I could pay over phone for bottles of bubbles. I was asked to wait a moment whilst she fetched the machine. Whilst I waited I had to listen to what herself and the first waitress were saying about me. Won 't lie, it was very upsetting and I 'm quite a tough cookie. Completely unnecessary and unprofessional as well as hurtful. When she came back on phone I politely told her I heard all their conversation, she went quiet and apologised then asked if still wanted the bubbles. I politely replied 'I don 't think so '. Not sure what to take away from this experience. At least cover phone or put on hold if your going to talk badly about someone who wishes to spend money whom you have never met............"

"Last weekend, I visited this restaurant with my family and I cannot express enough how impressed I was with the restaurant and the staff. "Gosh golly I do say, this restaurant is lovelier than a school day with no maths. The food is tasty and I love the interior design, the black and white stripe is edgy and radical. One thing though, the staircase is so steep everytime I walk up it, I feel as if I am going to topple down like a domino! And the lavatorys are an utter DISGRACE!! They are so small and manky, I think your business is doing well enough for a little reno in the toilets, yes. Love the food though."

"A nice place with good food and decent atmosphere. Weekends are busy and would likely require a reservation. The app has lots of freebies which is well worth doing and you can hook up the apps together by 'checking in ' on the same table to use multiple vouchers between the guests. Cleanliness could be a little better with greasy smudges on the bench and mirror, and slight water marks on the glass. However it 's more of an improvement point rather than it 's dirty. Would visit again."

"always wonderful eating here, but I was particularly impressed last night with a young waiter and the service. my friend and I spent age groups talking before reading the menu. we ordered a beautiful antipasti-sharing plate (which was quite large) to begin and before the waiter went away I asked if she had still a gorgonzola pasta dish I had christmas before I read the menu. he knew exactly what plate I had boiled up-long bark, mushrooms, gorgonzola and Tagliatelle....he told me that it was no longer on the menu, but he would ask the cook if it was possible. I didn't want them to go into hardships, but sure enough that he came back and said they could do it. it was as delicious as I would remember!"

"We reserved to have dinner here on Friday, as it gets busy so we would advise to do so. This restaurant seems to be family owned judging by the way the staff got on, so made it quite homely. The restaurant has also the sense of being cosy and a chilled out, despite there being a lot of decorations along the walls and ceiling. There was a range of Italian foods and drinks on offer, at a reasonable price. The food portions were very generous, all looked comforting and tasty great. The staff were all friendly, helpful and were up for a chat so was great. We even got chatting to the head staff and about the procedures they had to put on place and how stressful it was. "a party of 27 of us visited on Saturday and the restaurant has really copied that well. a few of the waiting hired were a little vivid and brought out eating that they didn't know what it was, but apart from that it was great. eating was absolutely beautiful. 10/10. the portions are enormous! "my friend and I visited as part of our break after skegness, after a recommendation from a friend. we're so glad we made it. eating was nice, the ambiente beautiful, the service excellent and really cheap. the portions are huge and they offer a takeaway service for everything they do not create to finish. I had followed the mushroom starter by chicken and mushroom risotto; my friend had the king garnelen followed by tagliatelle with meatballs. I couldn't blame you for our meal. the meatballs were especially delicious, delicate and beautifully seasoned.
