"excellent dining experience” 5 out of 5 stars rated on 15 november 2013 new although it is ideal for a pre-theater menu when they visit the hippodrome, eating in milano is worthy to take over the time because it is very good in the did. the menu offers a great choice regarding the price including a fixed tariff pre-theatre that my partner enjoyed very much. as glutton I could not resist the daily special of lobster linguine and I cannot resist that milano was from a generous amount and high quality; both courses were delicious. the tables are beautifully designed and the service is friendly and attentive. I have absolutely no criticism to make (I didn't like the desserts, but I don't like Italian desserts and can hardly blame them for being authentic! . as a pre-oper menu (especially if the opera is Italian! "So this is my fav restaurant ever ..and I had booked Kline and mentioned it was for my sons 18th birthday. So let’s start with positive ..the staff are fantastic and bubbly .. But we where placed in a pretty empty restaurant on a tiny table cramped and against a pillar (I actually thought it was a wind up The food ..usually the BEST ever ..but the pizza and mussels where below average ..beer was great but overall it was just flat ..I had asked for a small cake when I ordered but alas nothing ..it breaks my heart that my fav place to go to is not the same ..is it under new management ? No idea but it just doesn’t cut it Again I want to hail the staff as they where great (but again why put me on a tiny table when there where tons of tables Hey ho .."

"We pre-cooked a table and arrived a little early. However we were welcomed with a smile and were able to enjoy a drink until 12 noon when the main menu kicked in. The foccacia was light and tasty, and our dishes of lamb and calamari were wonderful, with good portion size and excellent presentation. The restaurant was very busy, but staff ensured we were served as promptly as possible. We were only too happy to enjoy the ambience and the lady who served us had a wonderful friendly, yet professional manner. This is our favourite restaurant when visiting this area. We also feel it is good value for money due to the quality of the food. We have no hesitation in recommending Carluccio's in Richmond."

"After a long day of traveling, we were looking for a quick meal and decided to stop by this restaurant for an early dinner. It was quiet when we arrived, and we ordered a bottle of rose, a vodka and lemonade, and a coke. Unfortunately, they only got the coke right. They brought out a bottle of white wine instead of vodka, but we didn't mind too much. While my food was delicious, some in our group mentioned that their pizza was soggy. Despite being the only customers in the restaurant, we felt rushed, which may have contributed to the soggy pizza. We could hear the chefs busy in the kitchen, probably preparing for the evening ahead. We dined at around 6pm and, unfortunately, I don't think I would come back here as my meal was the only thing that was satisfactory."

"Recently Carluccios have changed their menu, and we ordered the steak with rosemary potatoes. This use to come with a side of rocket with balsamic dressing and Parmesan shavings. Which was delicious. It now comes as plain rocket on its own which basically tastes of nothing. So we asked for our usual dressing to be told it’s not on the new menu and this is the way it comes now! Please what is a bit of dressing that completely transforms the flavour! Disappointed and probably won’t order the steak again …. The most expensive item on the menu! All because of a minimal touch of putting dressing on something"

"VERY EXPENSIVE. We had a small meal, which came to £95. This is probably the worst value restaurant I have ever been to in London. A small beer is £5 (which costs about 70p). The main courses of a very basic Bolognese were £15 each, for a small plate. I cannot think of a worse value-for-money that I’ve ever been to. And we eat out across the city 5 nights of the week, every week. Service was good. Polite and friendly young lady served us. She was sweet and looked after us. But yes, the plates/bags/glassware was all branded, which is what the customer is paying for. Also, £3 for a small jug of soda water from the tap behind the bar. Not even a branded bottle. The food was decent, but the price we paid…..I would never ever return because I feel like I’ve been frauded, frankly. 3/10 stars, based on price. Will not return. Wild never recommend."

"After having tried the Pollokshaws branch for a few years, we finally tried the Giffnock one and it didn’t disappoint! Everything is so tasty and the quality of meat is superb. Every takeaway we have had has been consistently good. The guys are also lovely to deal with. Great service."

"We went here Thursday night as it was a couple of doors away from the pub. Lovely quirky little intimate place, with rustic decor, excellent service, and excellent food. The pasta portions were large and very tasty and the cost reasonable. The waitress was so...friendly and made our evening chatting to us. My only suggestion is that they do more choice of pasta dishes for vegetarians as only two, but it seems pizza is their main business. I believe they do takeaway Mon-Thur for £7 for any dish which is excellent value for high quality food."

"My first time ever in this restaurant, the staff were very friend and paid attention to all our needs. We had food off the set menu and weren’t expecting big portions, the size of the portions was amazing and the food was of exceptional quality. "Booked in here for Tuesday 24th April evening when the weather was rubbish and I had the holiday blues so didn 't want to cook and the added bonus of a Groupon voucher to use also swayed my decision. Parking isn 't great to start with and I 'd guiltily parked outside someones house down from the cinema entrance : We entered for them to address us quizzically and claim that even though I 'd called earlier to book us in with my Groupon voucher reference they had nothing in the diary.. We were seated anyway at a very small table squashed right up at the back we had to 'bump ' passed 3 other tables which I found quite rude to the people sat down. We had no sooner got our coats off picked the menu up then we were pounced on to take our drink order efficient maybe or just a bit too eager? We ordered a bottle of red wine anyway not the house which I thought was a bit steep for a basic wine! and it was brought quick as a flash they then expected us to be ready to order we had only been in the place 8 minutes! The waitress was sent back to us and we ordered the meat antipasti to start, followed by the Gnocchi for me Lasagna for the Mr. We were brought a bread basket when the wine was produced however the butter given was solid clearly not to be used!The bread was nice and fresh though. Again, i didn 't even get a sip of my wine before the food was placed in front of us had it been pre prepared sat waiting to be ordered? The starter platter was to feature ' A selection of Italian meats and cheeses served with artichokes, olives and homemade bread ' the only bread we had was from the initial bread basket and I wouldn 't call 2 olives a selection! The meat was good quality but we felt a tad disappointed overall. We then had to wait 15 minutes for our main! My Gnocchi was nice, if a little bit bland, so I needed to be a bit over generous with the seasoning myself it lacked a bit of bite to be honest but the portion size was good. My Mr didn 't have may complaints for the Lasagna other than it could do with a bit more meat! maybe just a man thing! While we were eating, the close proximity of the tables to each other caused a few 'moments ' with the waiters a full portion of chips lost down the back of a diners chair and a bottle of beer knocked off the table when his bum stuck out a bit much in squeezing passed! Not really what I want to watch when having my dinner. We asked for the bill and sat for nearly 10 mins before I got up and went to the counter to ask again they were in no rush to get it paid either so we took the bill to the counter and paid there. I can see a lot of people are impressed with this place and go back on a regular basis I 'm not won over after this visit however. the tables are too close together the service is either too eager or too laid back where is the happy medium the beer wine list is a bit pricey the menu descriptions are a bit over zealous or they need to actually deliver on the description the food lacked seasoning. From when I observed during our meal, they are not short of business and do a good student trade. I 'm not sure for the 'professional ' couple however they have the right service/food/price quality balance I would be looking for to go regularly."

The vegetarian ravioli was delicious and the side vegetables were great. However, there weren't many vegetarian options available. The staff were charming as always, and the service was prompt. "This always looks busy at lunch time however we went on a Friday evening and it was very quiet. The food wasn’t great, the garlic bread had definitely been microwaved, as had my pasta dish. The pizza was at least freshly cooked but the toppings were dry. The service was very quick but made us feel very rushed, the minute i finished they took my plate, despite the fact my partner was still eating! When she took our starter plates we were asked if we wanted our mains now or wanted a break. On the assumption that our food would be cooked fresh we said now expecting a minute wait or so but she brought it out within seconds. We were in and out in about minutes having had a drink, starter and a main each. Not the relaxed and fresh meal we were hoping for! As I said, it’s always busy in the day so maybe the food and service is better then but I would definitely not recommend for dinner"

"Booked a table for 20 for our annual Christmas outing. 2 courses for 30.00 was the deal and from the menu it seemed fair because of the season. I opted for the fois gras and turkey Christmas dinner. Starter was ok but the figs had no taste, pate was just a slither and the toasted bread was stale. Turkey dinner was just inedible, only thing cooked in an oven was the Yorkshire pudding. Everything else was either boiled or microwaved. Turkey must have been cut from an anorexic bird, sprouts, cauliflower, carrots and broccoli felt like they had just been run under a hot tap, cut into a carrot and it flew across the room. Stuffing and pigs in blankets deep fried??? And the piece de resistance…no potatoes!!!! Not even cranberry sauce. No effort made on the occasion either. Colleagues had the Christmas log for desert, not sure what is was supposed to be but it was brown and frozen and yes, they couldn’t eat it as it was just rank. For a total bill of £600 it was a disgrace, as a group we will not be returning"

"I made a reservation for a table for 8 people for lunch on June 16th, only to arrive and be informed that Fratelli's does not serve food at lunchtime on Sundays. We were very frustrated as we had traveled for an hour to reach the restaurant, with two separate groups coming from different directions to celebrate Father's Day. Your booking system made a significant error. Although the venue offered bar meals, it was not what we had in mind. We had to quickly make alternative plans, as we did not want to be disappointed. I took the initiative to book through Open Table and received a confirmation email, so I am very upset. I recommend that you ensure your system is regularly checked and updated. I will not be using your booking system in the future."
