"My husband and I have been to The Painted Heron which is now called TPH not sure why the name was changed as the original is very nice many times. This time the menu was changed and it took us a while to decide what to order. The food is always delicious and we will go back. Our friends really enjoyed it."

"A friend and I went here the first week I was in London. It was my first restaurant experience, and I was glad we chose Indian I have heard all the rumors about London food, including that Indian food is supposed one of the best cuisines offered. Since I love Indian food, I was excited to try it.We arrived before the dinner rush and were the only two people in the restaurant. We had chosen what we wanted after only a few moments, so we shut our menus and waited. And waited. We ceased talking as we waited. We were sitting by the windows and the waitress was on the other side of the restaurant at the bar, texting, not paying attention to see if we were ready. It was quite frustrating to be the only people in a restaurant and still take more than ten minutes to place our order.She finally realized we were ready and after this blip the dining experience became much more enjoyable. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala rice and naan do not come with the mains, and each cost more than two pounds which makes the meal kind of expensive, but it was really amazing. Some of the best Indian food I've had in a while.The decor of the restaurant was nothing special and if you didn't already know it was Indian cuisine you wouldn't be able to tell. The food was great, which is the most important part, but if I wanted to come here again I would probably order it to go."

"This local Indian takeaway restaurant was a disappointing experience for my husband's birthday dinner. Despite pre-ordering our meal, it arrived 20 minutes early and without our main dish and side. When I contacted the restaurant, they offered to deliver the missing items in 30 minutes, but I declined as the rest of the food would have gone cold. The food that was delivered was only lukewarm, and when I asked for a refund, they refused. Overall, it was a frustrating and unsatisfactory experience, and I will not be ordering from them again."

"We ordered the Chicago grill burger and the cheese burger with dynamite chicken tenders and a passion fruit mojito, Chicken burger was cooked well and was juicy whereas the meat cheese burger was dry and less flavoursome. Chicken tenders had nothing ‘dynamite’ about them, perhaps it was a one off? The ambience is nice if you’re in the area you should try it out. Did not try the shisha in this occasion but will try if we visit again sometime. The two Asian waitresses and one white waitress were very welcoming as I had informed them of a last minute birthday celebration/dessert and the ladies got it sorted, put on music on the speakers; bought in dessert with sparklers and sang happy birthday for my friend. Was a very nice touch to the evening and the bill was very inexpensive. Overall I’d come again with friends due to the lovely service and that chicken burger "

"Food was great and the value was good. The staff however were rude. We had booked a table on Wednesday the 4th the evning before the lockdown. We knew 10 would be closing time so arrived at 730 planned to be finished by 930 to give time to leave. Staff couldn't get us out fast enough! A rice order hadn't arrived at the table when asked about it, the bowl of rice was thrown onto the table! We were asked if we wanted to pay at 815 before the food was finished, asked agin at 830 before the drinks were finished. We were going to order 2 more rounds but when the bill was placed on the table at 835 without us asking for it. We decided to leave after we finished our drinks. When we spoke to the manager he shrugged saying the place needed to be cleaned and shut by 10. There were not many left in the restaurant at that time as they too were hurried out. No please, no thank yous from any staff and we were given the evil eye by the waiter twice. The food was good but not out standing enough to ever go back. Shame as its walking distance from my home. I have never had such rude staff in my life. We are all under stress in this lockdown time but we can at least be civil"

"I chose Everest Tandoori to organise a private buffet for a small get together of 40 people. Starting from the beginning, booking process was very smooth and easy. Staff were very approachable and friendly. On the day, food served was authentic Nepali and on time. The staff (especially Maya didi) there went out of their way to actually play the role of a host on our behalf and helped us all including guests feel like home. They also allowed us to run some of our private rituals as well. Overall, my experience has been excellent and price was exceptionally good value for money."

"I have been a fan of this restaurant for over a decade since I first discovered it. Located in the heart of London, it is easy to find and close to our hotel. The area feels safe even at night, with many pubs and people around. The restaurant has a street-level dining area for those with mobility issues, as well as a smaller back room and a downstairs area for larger groups. The food is top-notch and reasonably priced for central London. The staff have always been friendly and accommodating, which is why we always choose to dine here when in London for the night."

"We placed an order for delivery through Just Eat at 5:45, with an estimated arrival time of 7:30. We waited until 8:00, then called multiple times to inquire about our order, only to be given misleading information. Frustrated by 9:00, we decided to pick up the order ourselves. As we were on our way, we received a notification from our ring doorbell that the food had arrived at 9:20. Upon arrival at the restaurant, we encountered chaos, with no apology for the delay. A family member was practicing football, staff were openly discussing not answering the phone, and a driver mentioned his car's clutch had failed. Another upset customer also came in for their missing order. Despite the food being good once we arrived home, the lack of professionalism and poor service left much to be desired. I advise others not to order delivery from this establishment, as our planned evening was disrupted by this disappointing experience."

"Took my family for a dine in expecting a high standard given some of the reviews but to my surprise the whole experience was utterly negative. First of all the place is not clean at all which makes me want to see the kitchen hidden behind a closed door! We were handed a menu which had sauce stain all over it, flies in the air, rock hard burger, under cocked ribs to name a few of the alarm bells. The irony is that they charge you a premium as if you are dining in 5 star restaurant. Not recommended at all."

"The best place for South Indian tiffin in Birmingham, without a doubt. I have had a few visits and the food quality has been consistent. Interestingly, they serve the longest dosa in Europe, which is called the Chennai Dosa special. You should not miss it. Bit pricey but the food quality justifies it. Recommended!"

"Bedford and Strand is a hidden gem. You'd never realise it was there, until someone in the know takes you. It's well-located, at the foot of Covent Garden, close to the theatres in the Strand and Charing Cross station. "Allowed me to book a table hours beforehand and then upon arrival was greeted by the silence of an empty restaurant. After about mins of waiting and chatting , the manager enters through the front door and tells us to take our seat and then goes into the kitchen. After another mins of chatting the manager comes out and tells us the head chef is not in and so we will have to leave. To the managerâs credit he did seem apologetic and cordial but things like this should not happen in the first place."

"that is an incredible chaiiwala industry. the best I've ever done. it is so popular, it often caused the blackade of whalley range as autos stacking out to grab a quick cuppa. there are seating for 20 people, sufficient free parking close to and fantastic dining. the personal here is switched on, they are at the pulse. They make you very welcome and nothing is too much effort for them. the omelette wrapped in a chapati was my favorite. the Desi breakfast and Desi tea was absolutely excellent. the best Indian breakfast I had in blackburn. salim patel"

"I have to admit that I was a bit stupid at first sight! the restaurant inspires not the trust from outside and is quite small in the inner but this humble look is the absolute gastronomic genie at the work in the kitchen! the starters were so delicious. the three of the use we had lamm samosas, wobble bhajis, lamb chops lamb something! the seasoned on all dressed were perfect, really rich and tasteful with the right amount of heat that gave them a brand without being too painful as they do with the lamb especially and still preserve the taste of the actual flesh, is nothing short of culinary source! when the net arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to find the garlic naan with tiny ribbons of fresh garlic, and it was thin with a flat texture, instead of thick and teig the nets were equally fantastic and tasteful; I had chicken masala and pilau reis and I can honestly say I never have a better curry in my life! next time I am in london, I will visit 100% again!"
