"I have been a fan of this restaurant for over a decade since I first discovered it. Located in the heart of London, it is easy to find and close to our hotel. The area feels safe even at night, with many pubs and people around. The restaurant has a street-level dining area for those with mobility issues, as well as a smaller back room and a downstairs area for larger groups. The food is top-notch and reasonably priced for central London. The staff have always been friendly and accommodating, which is why we always choose to dine here when in London for the night."

"We was there to celebrate a birthday we all ordered our food we was having a lovely time until …….. my partner has a severe allergy to seafood she ordered a CHICKEN tikka wrap started eating it had half of it then looked into why the “chicken” was so chewy unwrapped the other half to reveal seafood not chicken the staff didn’t know it was seafood at first they all just looked confused then they confessed it was in fact seafood When booking the table we stated there was a seafood allergy within the party!"

"We placed an order for delivery through Just Eat at 5:45, with an estimated arrival time of 7:30. We waited until 8:00, then called multiple times to inquire about our order, only to be given misleading information. Frustrated by 9:00, we decided to pick up the order ourselves. As we were on our way, we received a notification from our ring doorbell that the food had arrived at 9:20. Upon arrival at the restaurant, we encountered chaos, with no apology for the delay. A family member was practicing football, staff were openly discussing not answering the phone, and a driver mentioned his car's clutch had failed. Another upset customer also came in for their missing order. Despite the food being good once we arrived home, the lack of professionalism and poor service left much to be desired. I advise others not to order delivery from this establishment, as our planned evening was disrupted by this disappointing experience."

"A fantastic restaurant, with great food and equally amazing service. I ordered a paneer tikka to start; the portion was quite large for a starter but not too big. It was full of flavour and even had a bit of a kick. The butter chicken was perfect, with the chicken being lovely and moist. Service at the restaurant was fantastic, I asked for a straw and the waiter couldn't find it and then 2 members of staff came and apologized for not being able to find the straws which made me feel like the restaurant really value their customers."

"Just had one of the best doner kebabs ive ever had. My hero big Danny from Ratemytakeaway recently visited so i thought as a local myself i'll go an see for myself. The doner meat was superb, nice n soft, melt in the mouth kinda stuff, and the mini nan bread was perfect. I dont like my sauce too nippy and this kebab sauce was excellent, great flavour n just the right amount of spice. Nice n tangy taste to sauce. Lovely jubbly. One of the best £5 notes ive spent and decent portion size that filled a big balloon like me right up. If theres any criticism it is that there prices are not same as menu. Paper menus still sitting on counter are 50p cheaper. So prices up and no new menus. Best just to get rid of small paper menus until new ones printed as there misleading customers. Also another guy in at same time should have got a can of juice with mun hy box because ur menu says including can. But on menu added to wall at front of counter it doesnt say can of juice included. So ur scrimping to save money and stopped giving away cans of juice which is a bit sneaky.. munchy boxes always have came with a can. Cannot just change it now to save about 40p for the price of a can of juice. So yes dont trust the menu and prices. But as far as my kebab went, its superb. I'll visit ur shop again for good food but correct pricing on menu and not cancelling free juice with munchy boxes woulda got u a perfect 5 star review."

"Dinner for 2. Return visit as I had been previously during the Eat out promotion with a friend and food had been excellent. Food was still very good although we thought the mixed vegetable platter starter was a bit greasy. Staff were very good and we had a nice evening. We would still recommend as there are some nice choices of the menu that differ from our usual Indian."

"Food was amazing.Couldnt find any fault with the food.But the wait was ridiculous.for over an hour.One of our dishes was given first and had to wait for the rest of the stuffs again. Even though the staff apologized for it as there were short of staff .But what we noticed was that one of the families who came after was given the food earlier than us.They were given even glasses to drink water while we had to ask for a bottled water finally. I would say the customer service wasn't that great .but may get food from here as takeout."

"We arrived and they had noBooking for us! They moved two people who had just sat down to accommodate our party of 6! After a bad start we had the best attention from the management! The food was fabulous and the restaurant was quirky and buzzing! My 5 Danish friends who can’t really get curry at home were raving about the place and the food! "We went to celebrate my daughter getting new job and took her here for her first visit and she really enjoyed it. We both had our usually lamb Rogan josh which is must have for me and my wife has the chicken makahani so that left my daughter who went with the chicken tikka masala and all three were great dishes. I would recommend if you like spicy food to try here some tine"

"My husband and I recently ordered takeout from this restaurant. I got a pizza, chips, and a can of juice for £9.50, while my husband got pakora, sauce, curry, rice, and naan for £10.50. I left to go home while my husband waited for the meal, which we thought was a good deal. However, when my husband tried to pay with a card, he was asked to pay more than once even though the machine had already accepted the card. It seemed like they were trying to pull a fast one, so be cautious when using a card here. They claimed the machine needed more paper and my husband had to ask for a receipt, which he wasn't offered. The meal itself was tasty, but there was more sauce than meat in the curry. Additionally, there was no can of juice in the bag, so be on the lookout for any missing items. The pizza was delicious and spicy, just the way I like it, but there was no diet coke included as there should have been."

"This was our first visit to Zarda which was an achievement in itself as my husband is not too partial to Indian food. However, he thoroughly enjoyed his meal and went so far to say that it was one of the best meals he had recently. Compliments to the chef! The food was very well presented, tasty and portion size good. The only negative comment I would offer is that the restaurant was too cold for dining. The building is very old and probably does not have concrete foundations; the staff had the radiators on, extra heaters and an open fire but it was still on the chilly side. Probably best visited when the weather warms up. Parking is on the street and it was particularly busy the evening we visited. However, I would certainly visit again and have no hesitation in recommending the food."

"came here for an early dinner before a concert and came here as the reviews were good and it is close to the utita arena. the entrance is located in the main street and then they go up to a beautiful open, clean room. pleasant welcome and offered a drink cobra at the take and a white wine. we ordered a main dish from specials, some bhajis (saag and mushroom and some papadums with relish. the papadums came fast and there was a bit of a waiting for the most important courses, plus the mushroom bhaji never arrived, but a wobble bhaji that we sent back. the quality and quantity was excellent. the total cost for 2 of us for a main course and 2 drinks were just under £30 each; i.e. medium price"

"Always go by and the food smells delicious, decided to order with them for home delivery. We ordered the Paneer Achari (yes it was so spicy as it says that this was not a favorite with my guest, but I really enjoyed it), Drunken Lamb (we will definitely order again, very tasteful), the rice, with both dishes (big portion size) and finally the Ferrero Desert, which was delicious I just wish they made a larger version of it! Will be ordered again. Delivery time was also good!"
