"My husband and I recently ordered takeout from this restaurant. I got a pizza, chips, and a can of juice for £9.50, while my husband got pakora, sauce, curry, rice, and naan for £10.50. I left to go home while my husband waited for the meal, which we thought was a good deal. However, when my husband tried to pay with a card, he was asked to pay more than once even though the machine had already accepted the card. It seemed like they were trying to pull a fast one, so be cautious when using a card here. They claimed the machine needed more paper and my husband had to ask for a receipt, which he wasn't offered. The meal itself was tasty, but there was more sauce than meat in the curry. Additionally, there was no can of juice in the bag, so be on the lookout for any missing items. The pizza was delicious and spicy, just the way I like it, but there was no diet coke included as there should have been."

"The restaurant failed to honor our reservation made through the app and initially claimed we didn't have a booking. They only corrected their mistake when I showed them the app. The service was very slow, and it took two and a half hours to receive our main courses. Some dishes were served cold and were sent back. This was possibly the worst dining experience I've ever had. It's disappointing because this restaurant used to be good, but it seems they couldn't handle a busy Friday night during a test match."

"Ordered a delivery from just eat on the October, my meal was missing a main and a side, I phoned to let them know they forgot my items and if they could deliver them, to then be told the items were delivered and that I was lying, I was told I would not get a refund and that they did not have the time to deal with my issue. The food that did turn up was mins late and cold, avoid at all costs!"

"Absolutely fantastic! We came for the curry evening which is held every Tuesday. £12 for a curry, rice or naan and drink (soft drink, wine or beer). It’s amazingly good value for money and we really enjoyed the food. Particular highlights were the lamb saag, lamb vindaloo, chicken bhuna and chicken korma. The soft buttered naans were amazing too and seemed like they had come straight out of a tandoor. Just fantastic! Kapilla who served us is lovely and one of the sweetest, hardworking ladies you’ll ever meet. Thank you to Kapilla and all of the team for a lovely evening, we will be back for sure"

"5 stars for the Wednesday curry club. The naan bread was the size of a pizza and we couldn't finish our food. Asked for a take out bag! Highly recommended. I saw below in the comments someone had said the service was slow? On point, absolutely reactive and 100% throughout the perfect balance of attentiveness."

"Poor experience start to finish. Both waiters appeared to have no experience at all. On arrival restaurant was quiet with only one other table, waiter was unable to prepare alcoholic drinks, so we had to wait for another waiter, which resulted in a 40 minute wait for drinks. Once food was finally ordered, starters and main course all came at once, leaving no room on the table. The chicken tikka was cold and had to go back to the kitchen to be microwaved and the naan bread was hard. Sadly, the food was not what was expected having read other reviews. The waiters were pleasant, but not once checked that the food was ok or whether we would like more drinks. The ladies bathroom was far from clean with no toilet paper and a dirty sink. The meal was very disappointing and expensive. It was easy to see why the restaurant was almost empty on a Friday night."

"Although we had booked a table online in advance, the table was not ready for us at 5.30pm but the staff quickly joined two tables together which was fine. The food was excellent. One of the staff was quite abrupt when taking the dessert order and snapped the menus off us. He was clearly trying to rush (although it seemed unnecessary as they seemed to have plenty of staff) but then only 4 of the 5 desserts arrived and we had to ask for the fifth dessert again as it had been forgotten about. Although the service could have been better, the food was very tasty and reasonably priced."

"It's incredible to find authentic Indian cuisine in the UK. The food isn't artificially colored or overly spiced, showing the care and attention of the owners and staff. The restaurant even offers activities for children to enjoy and is known for its friendly and entertaining service. Overall, it was a fantastic night out with great value for money and generous portion sizes."

"Why we visited Sampan Bromley? We have been looking for a restaurant to have Sunday Buffet lunch at reasonable price and with many items to taste. We have seen few other restaurants around Bromley do the Buffet but we selected this restaurant as the picture(on the website) provided in Buffet section is tempting and looks like there are many items Actual Experience: When we arrived there, we were shocked. Here is why 1) Less than 11 items in Buffet and that was including Salad items. Here were the items: Here are the items: Starters: a) Salads (too basic) b) Chicken tikka (taste 3 out of 5) c) Lamb sheikh kebab (taste 3 out of 5) d) Onion bhajji (taste cold and soggy so, 2 out of 5) Main Course: a) Naan(plain and dry) and Rice b) Shaag Aloo (taste 3.5 out of 5) c) veg jalfrezi (taste 2 out of 5) d) Chicken tikka masala (taste horrible as an Indian, never seen chicken tikka masala with coconut 0 out of 5) e) Chicken masala (taste 2 out of 5) f) Rogan ghos(lamb) (taste 3.5 out of 5) Dessert: a) Fruits(gapes, pineapple , melons) does it call dessert? Not Sure 2) No chutneys or sauces are available for starters 3) Taste wise, the items are not close to Authentic Indian dishes 4) Shocked to see that there is no Dessert item Overall Food Rating: 2 out of 5 We strongly Believe that This Restaurant is. "The service is based on drinks as this was a buffetbooked this restaurant for a curry as it was the only one left on valentines night. Turned up and it was a buffet which was a shock as my girlfriend is gluten free. Luckily the manager was great and confirmed that all the food was made gluten free which was great for my girlfriend as we now have another restaurant to go to"

"Food was not nice at all, no flavour everything was missing salt, to much tumric that's all you could smell. Breads were thick and grease. It was not worth the price at all, will never order again. They have not updated website with a new prices so be careful as you will be charged more then you think. Vegetarian options: Yes Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £70–80"

"The staff at this restaurant is incredibly friendly and helpful. The prices are very reasonable considering the portion size and quality of the food. The dishes were perfectly seasoned and utterly delicious. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a good curry, fish and chips, or any other type of food."

"Okay, so this is my first review. Being a student, one always tries to find places that offer good food with reasonable prices. Dosa village is one of them. Their food is delicious, with a special mention to the Gobhi Manchurian and Paneer Devil in the snacks category. Other things I tried here included, Mysore Masala Dosa, Tomato Uthhappam all of which were tasty. The service might be a little slow because they don't have much staff but the food makes up for it. And do try either the Filter coffee or Masala Chai after your meal! :"

"On the day that government extended the tier 4 areas across the country, I collected dinner from Desi only to find that all the 3 employees inside Desi had no protection whatsoever. Not even bad placed mask on the chin as many people use, not a single mask at sight. Every other take away that I have used in the last week had employees with masks as mandatory for every open business. Being a restaurant with a open door on a tier 4 area I expected much more from Desi."
