"Why we visited Sampan Bromley? We have been looking for a restaurant to have Sunday Buffet lunch at reasonable price and with many items to taste. We have seen few other restaurants around Bromley do the Buffet but we selected this restaurant as the picture(on the website) provided in Buffet section is tempting and looks like there are many items Actual Experience: When we arrived there, we were shocked. Here is why 1) Less than 11 items in Buffet and that was including Salad items. Here were the items: Here are the items: Starters: a) Salads (too basic) b) Chicken tikka (taste 3 out of 5) c) Lamb sheikh kebab (taste 3 out of 5) d) Onion bhajji (taste cold and soggy so, 2 out of 5) Main Course: a) Naan(plain and dry) and Rice b) Shaag Aloo (taste 3.5 out of 5) c) veg jalfrezi (taste 2 out of 5) d) Chicken tikka masala (taste horrible as an Indian, never seen chicken tikka masala with coconut 0 out of 5) e) Chicken masala (taste 2 out of 5) f) Rogan ghos(lamb) (taste 3.5 out of 5) Dessert: a) Fruits(gapes, pineapple , melons) does it call dessert? Not Sure 2) No chutneys or sauces are available for starters 3) Taste wise, the items are not close to Authentic Indian dishes 4) Shocked to see that there is no Dessert item Overall Food Rating: 2 out of 5 We strongly Believe that This Restaurant is. Really nice meal for my son's birthday. The waiters recognized the occasion I had noticed during the booking. Food was delicious, and large portions. Beautiful decoration in the restaurant made it special!

The food was very expensive £71 per person after drinks were taken off. The wine was not good The cocktails were tasteless, service average. There was a big table of people who were so loud that we could hardly talk, at no time this group was asked to calm down. It won't be back.

We visited for Mother’s Day and when booking was told it would be a certain price then arrived and it was a lot more because of the occasion. Bit cheeky as nothing was different! It was a self service buffet but we were expected to pay £8 for service plus a fee for their foundation trust per person. Very cheeky with adding on costs baring in mind staff didn’t serve us anything except a drink each. Our bill for a Sunday buffet for 2 adults and a baby was £75! Just be aware of this. Also staff were very funny when we asked for another plate, you now have to use the same plate each time you go up which is quite stingey! Unfortunately we won’t be returning as the price was so ridiculous and staf...
