"Yesterday we were here when we wanted a quick light lunch and it was convenient to our location. never again! we ordered a few simple olive starters, small fries and a chicken warmer. it took about 5 minuites to arrive, which was exceptionally fast. for sacredness, but I didn't think much of it until we actually started to put the food in our mouth. I never had olives that were so bitter and tasteless! even my son refused to eat them, which normally cannot keep away from olives of any kind. friends were ok. nothing special, but then again not expected to be. As for the shima it was gummy, tasted only from cardamoms and not much more. absolutely terrible! After he drew this to the manager and asked if the shima was freshly cooked, he sent us the cook to explain that it was! we were then accused for everything except one of the olive-creepers and we had eaten about 10% of what was on our tellers. absolutely disgusts with the height of customer service and satisfaction value given at this location. will not go back in."

"There was no atmosphere and it was cold. The staff were pleasant but seemed to be inexperienced. Only one toilet which was occupied for at least 10 mins by a member of staff. We had to leave without using the bathroom. The other staff members were aware of this. One of the staff had his coat on. The food was very good."

"Well done Suesey Street, can highly recommend their Sole cooked to perfection, atmosphere was super service second to none. Copious bottles of red wine consumed just can't recall the name but it rolled down nicely. Ask your assistant for recommendations they won't disappoint!"

"We dined on Thursday when it is Burger, Beer and Chips for It's a nice cosy (while being fairly big and spacious) pub. Very friendly services, extensive beer selection served by people who know (and care) about what they are serving. There is just the one veggie burger on offer (we both are vegetarian) but it was very delicious indeed, one of the nicest I have had. My only slight complaint, it could have been a little bit bigger. Combine that with the fact it was served with skinny fries (which some people love to be fair, for me I prefer thicker cut chips) and I was left a little hungry still by the end. But not to worry as I filled the gap with more delicious beer. Very dog friendly too."

"Booked for three people for a family meal. Two other tables already served, so our order was taken promptly and first of the 'not available ' messages. No draft beer. Ordered starters and main courses and waited the customary times then waiter came to announce that selected starter of calamari was not available. After starter but before main courses were served waiter announced 'cash only ' as card machine was not working, which meant one of our party had to go to the cash machine. One main course chosen was subsequently announced as not available. Offered the dessert menu but waiter told us only one item was available or ice cream, but only vanilla. Asked for coffee and told it was not available. Would have been very simple to point out 'cash only ' before ordering, and to present menu with a mention of what was not available. More like hard work than enjoyable."

"Absolutely amazing! I went with my boyfriend on Friday night for a lovely meal. He recently moved to the area and we had been told by many locals it was the place to go when in the area. It was more than I expected, the service and A le Carte menu surpassed our expectations. On arrival we didn't reserve an area) we was greeted with warm smiles by all the waiters and staff, who treated us like we were the only people in the restaurant. Despite having a full house we were given a great table and it wasn't just the staff who were smiling, all those who had come in to dine were too. It was like someone had injected them with happy juice. When we tasted the food we soon understood why....read more"

"The service was genuinely really shocking. It took so long for anyone to attend to us that my 80 year old father went to the bar and was told he could order food and drinks there if he wanted. It then took a ridiculous amount of time for the food to arrive. Genuinely ridiculous. These weren’t complex dishes that took lengthy amounts of time to prepare. I’m afraid I have nothing positive to add to this experience I was genuinely shocked at how bad it really was"

"After living in the area for a while, I had a meal here by chance. I am back regularly once a week now. The staff is amazing, the food delicious and they make you feel like you are visiting a family. I can see that most people visiting are repeated customers and that is the best praise they can get. One of the best chowders in Dublin. Lamb shank with perfect mash peas. The burger you will love. Pizzas with a perfect base. My favourite lasagna. Bruschetta that is served as a starter but can be a meal on its own. Bread baked in-house, that reminds me of one my mother made. Steak made to your order with a side of vegetables that is always cooked perfectly. I tried most of the menu (lamb shank is my choice on most visits) and love it all. "

"Our 1st experience dining at Sohe. The ambience was amazing, the music was upbeat and lively. We were sat down immediately as we had a reservation. The staff were very warm, efficient and accomodating as we had 2 kids as well. The menus are not extensive which is a good thing if you are unsure of what to get. I have to commend the servers knowledge of the dishes. We ordered some cocktails and juices for the kids. For starters, we ordered the sharing platter as well as the prawn crackers for the kids. If you love a bit of spice, then the sauce that comes along with the crackers is a definite win. The chicken satay, squid and spring rolls were delicious and cooked really well although we were a little disappointed with the kale as we felt it was too oily and lacked taste. For the main course, we ordered the roasted monkfish and prawn curry along with the Chicken Katsu curry. The quantities were really good, although I expected two or more pieces of the monkfish. However there were lots of prawns but just 1 piece of the fish which I felt should have been the star of the dish for the amount you pay for it. The desserts were outstanding and cannot be faulted. And although we ordered just the 3 scoops of sorbet, the presentation made it worthwhile. The flavors were delicious. It was my daughters birthday and the servers made is extra special for her by singing Happy Birthday to her. Overall, it was quite a good experience, the food was delicious, value for money, the staff were amazing and we will definitely be back to try out a few more dishes."

"I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. Despite my love for Fierce beer and desire to support local businesses, I purchased 12 cans and encountered a problem with the first can, 'Late Shift.' Initially, it tasted fine but towards the bottom it was filled with a thick, grainy brown liquid that I unknowingly consumed. This resulted in a very unpleasant experience the following day, causing me to reconsider purchasing more in the future."

"What an outstanding experience! I took my mum to Las Iguanas for the Bubbly Brunch to celebrate her 60th Birthday. From the moment we stepped through the door, the staff couldn't do enough for us. The menu was fully explained, including recommendations, new additions etc, as were the drinks. We opted for the bubbly brunch which included a starter, main 4 drinks each for £31.95 fantastic value. Both food and drinks were delicious (highly recommend the chicken enchiladas and the Pink Bubbles). The cherry on the cake was by far the service. Ryan was amazing! We'd had a disappointing experience the night before and Ryan alone more than made up for it. He was bubbly, warm and really made us feel special he's an absolute STAR! Cannot wait to come back!!!"

"Itsu in Notting Hill Gate has consistently met expectations, both before, during, and after the Covid-19 pandemic. The restaurant maintains a comfortable temperature, staying cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The establishment is clean, well-decorated, and staffed with professional employees. The shelves are always neatly arranged, service is quick, and the decor is inviting. As for the food, the Mochi cheesecake is a standout dish, with a delicate blend of the cheesecake alongside the soft, chewy Mochi casing. It is not overly chewy, making it easy to cut with a fork if desired. The Beauty smoothie, while featuring a nice blend of fruits, could benefit from a bit more strawberry to enhance the flavor. Overall, the smoothie is satisfying and ideal for a hot day."

"We arrived for our booking to be told that there was no booking made under our details at all. They did fortunately have a cancellation that they gave us, otherwise we would have been left with no where to eat on new years eve! The waitress plonked our bottle of wine down on the table, didn't even open it, let alone pour it. The food was outstanding apart from the mashed potato which was definitely powdered."

"Remarkable to find this restaurant in the middle of London in the 21st Century. Traditional vegan Japanese foods prepared imaginatively, delicious and served with grace and dedication. Ecologically sourced ingredients and in each dish underlying ethical principals. There were many choices in the menu which was a bit overwhelming nevertheless there is plenty of variety and meals for different tastes. I had tempura as part of my fare, an array of flavourful cooked and fermented delicacies and exquisite sushi with a mouth watering creamy sesame dessert. This is healing food that can be savoured and not rushed."

"I had heard great things about the authenticity of Turkish cuisine and had been meaning to try it for a while, having lived in Turkey for several years. The meze was both beautiful and fresh. Unfortunately, our main course arrived before we had finished the meze, which was a bit of a nuisance. The lamb shish was small and overcooked, but my wife's special chicken dish was delicious. It was nice that we could bring our own wine and were not charged a corkage fee, but overall the atmosphere felt more like a café than a restaurant. We left feeling disappointed and do not plan on returning, as there are better Turkish restaurants in the city center."

"Gilbey’s Restaurant was an excellent choice for the Red Kite Board Dinner. Sandra and Dace were very good hosts and everyone on the table for 10 enjoyed a very good evening. My liver pate was very good others liked their salmon or soup. The main course of pork crackling was good, my neighbours enjoyed their lamb the steak was good. My cheese plate was slightly mean on the cheeses but my neighbours certainly enjoyed the whole meal. Please see photos. Would I return, I would hope to take my wife for a Sunday lunch, they are ver popular so Sandra suggested booking ahead on 01494 727242 or [hidden email]"
