"The food was great (had a very lovely afternoon tea) but unfortunately the service was poor; although polite when speaking to us the service staff pretty much ignored us once we had ordered our food. My friend and I wanted to order another hot drink but had to wait 45 minutes for someone to take our order (despite attempting to get someone’s attention several times) and then again when wanting to get the bill it took standing up and putting our coats on after another long time waiting (and asking several people) to actually get the bill. I want to blame it on how busy the restaurant was however we saw several tables around us come and go in the time we were there."

"I had a great experience dining at this restaurant. I usually choose the burrito, but decided to try something different this time and everything tasted delicious. "Fantastic food. Proper Yorkshire food with a twist. Delicious deserts the creme brulee was just the best end to a fantastic meal. The service was on point. Attentive not other enthusiastic and friendly. The owners show their love of the food the ambience and entertaining. Excellent setting down to the cook books on the shelf in the corner and the beautiful ladies powder room. Loved our experience here,it wasn't just a meal but an experience celebrating our anniversary. Definitely will come back with friends and family. Just wish they did wedding catering because the black pudding starter is definitely something I want for my wedding breakfast and I'm a vegetarian."

"really delicious! we had a place right in front of the kitchen that was fabulous when we saw the dame that works and fires the wood fire. my man had the san stefano (sounded as it could not have a tomatensockel, but it did, along with generous little garlic butter perfection! and I had the toto è peppino that came with a very healthy jump from both fresh rocket and buffffel mozzarella. the portion sizes were large, the prei Average and the service was fast and friendly. would definitely return."

"I ordered takeaway here for the 1st time was “stupidly” unaware of what the various sauces were called. The man serving was not helpful arrogantly questioned what language I was speaking as I didn’t know the correct sauce names (I am English btw! . I said my partner was French but I was clearly English and speaking it so didn’t understand why he asked that! As we waited for the food outside, he thought I was out of earshot and shouted “learn to speak English”. I went back to challenge him on this disgusting comment and he seemed surprised I had heard and then tried to blag he was making a joke! He was NOT! Just because I’m not upto speed on the official names of his precious sauces, it does not make it acceptable to be so rudely insulted or at least make sure they definitely can’t hear you! Safe to say we won’t be going back. Oh and the food was ****!"

"We made a reservation for 7:30 pm and ordered drinks before placing our meal orders. We were extremely disappointed by how long it took for our meals to be served - a 45-minute wait. As we waited, we saw other customers arriving and quickly receiving their meals. We should have left instead of just sitting there. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone unless you enjoy waiting for a long time. In response to their feedback on how they can improve, my suggestion would be to either shut down or hire a new chef."

"We dined here on a Saturday night and it was very busy with larger groups so you have definitely got to reserve a table! We travelled here from Stockport by train so it was a bit of a walk but well worth it. We chose 4 small dishes followed by a main each and it was all delicious and felt authentic. They have different items on the menu here compared to your usual Indian restaurant and I loved trying the new dishes. It's not especially cheap but good for a special occasion and our only disappointment concerned the amount of meat in our mains it was a bit small. Overall though I would recommend this restaurant and the staff were very friendly too."

"There was no atmosphere and it was cold. The staff were pleasant but seemed to be inexperienced. Only one toilet which was occupied for at least 10 mins by a member of staff. We had to leave without using the bathroom. The other staff members were aware of this. One of the staff had his coat on. The food was very good."

"ate here with my better half on a Saturday night recently a rare night for us, and suesey street hasn't disappointed at all! we had a really nice evening from the moment when we received a warm welcome at the door when we finished our delicious cocktails in the beautiful bar at the end of our night. in between we were treated with a delicious food and excellent service. I had to start the scallops, and it was really amazing I would go so far to say it is the best (and well dimensioned) scallop star I had in a long time. the nativity for the main was top-notch. my wife was happy to see some vegetarian options on the menu and she was equally happy with what she had. we were too full for dessert, but we had a cocktail that they were so good that we ended our night in the bar area and had another! there is a beautiful atmosphere in the suesey street and it is very comfortable. we are coming back in definitiw!"

"Great restaurant with delicious food. Went here with my wife and kids for my wife's birthday a year ago and then again last night. The staff were really friendly even walking my son to the bathroom when he couldn't find the way. The food was great. Everything I tried tasted like time and attention had been paid to it. I'm glad that standards remained high a year later. We had the the Siam sharer and the duck sharer to start which were great. For our mains we had prawn pad Thai, lemon chicken, prawn n broccoli and stirfryed beef. The standout to me was the prawn pad Thai but the crispy noodles with the lemon chicken deserve a shout out. In terms of the decor, the restaurant looked beautiful at first glance, following the Thai theme well with bamboo planters, sculptures and even a water feature in the centre. Looking out the windows across the fields you can see all the way to Penshaw monument. Overall i would go back as i definitely enjoyed my time there."
