"We opted for the 2 course for £18.50 half of the menu was pizza to which they did not have any pizza dough left and one of the options for a starter was ribs to which they didn’t have either? I don’t think they should be advertising a menu when half the options are missing and it was only 6pm?? Replace the ingredients or give alternative options on the menu! The food was ok, drinks expensive and service was a little on the slow side. Would I return? Maybe for lunch when they’d possibly have a full menu available."

12 of us went for a birthday meal to celebrate my daughter and granddaughters birthdays. The food was excellent and our waitress was very patient. The atmosphere was very relaxed and no one rushed us. Would go again.

This was posted on open table and confirmed by text message. When the party arrived, they said there was no table and we had to sit in the bar. The food was very good, but it pampered the occasion through the mess in the restaurant with the booking! Thank you. Neil

eating was not very hot and the size of the meat (roastbeef) was only very small 2 very tiny slitters of the bark. we have eaten here several times and enjoyed it, but today it was disappointed. the sweet was good and varied and the yorkshire puddings beautiful. unfortunately we try elsewhere for a Sunday roast?

On Sunday evening it was quite disappointing; not the usual experience we generally use. Many of the possibilities we tried were not available and our alternatives were not up to the usual Golden Ball standard. The chips were warm and the roast potatoes were burned and edible. We're not going to eat again on a Sunday night and can dine at the Golden Ball in the future?
