"During our time in Glasgow in June, my wife and I visited this restaurant every day. We usually ordered the fish and chips, but occasionally tried other delicious dishes like the steak pie. The food was consistently excellent and plentiful, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Despite being 7,000 miles away from our home in the tropics, we felt warmly welcomed by the staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our visits and make sure to recommend this restaurant to all our friends."

"Food is amazing but service was a little slow and waiter struggled to hear/speak from behind his mask. Didn't seem all that knowledgeable about drinks either although the menu states they can make classic cocktails ended up going for wine (which was good and nice to know it is vegan) but also tried one of their own cocktails. Unfortunately it wasn't very nice (think the agave they use in a lot of them leaves a slightly strange aftertaste) but always nice to try new things. Would definitely come back the restaurant is really cool itself but as the main bonus is the food would probably be more tempted to try a takeout..."

"I had to pull a waiter over after been seated for 15 minutes to ask if we could order as I hadn’t even ordered a drink at this point. I ordered all the drinks and food at the same time as I didn’t know how long it was going to take. Two people that were seated after us got their drinks and food way before us. Food was ok but not worth the menu prices. I had the New York strip steak which came well done even though I asked for medium rare. The mash had skin in it which I don’t know if it was supposed to but I found the taste of the skin overpowering. The veg was watery which then made the rest of the food watery. I got the Bangkok shrimp with my meal but couldn’t taste shrimp it was just like crispy breadcrumbs. It had a sweet taste which didn’t compliment the rest of the food. To be honest the whole meal tasted plain and like something I would expect in a Wetherspoon. No flavour. My son had the pasta which was a very very small portion and the marinara sauce which we asked to be served on the side was freezing cold like it hadn’t been heated at all, it had just come out of the fridge and I think they must of forgotten to heat it. The sundae was massive and the only reason I have given a average for the food and not a poor rating. Last time we ate here it was lovely. The waiter seemed to pay more attention filling up the glasses of the people having brunch. I got charged a 13.5 service charge too which I wouldn’t of paid if it wasn’t added to the bill. I would of sent the food back but the rate we were being served I thought we’d be there all night if I had done that. All in all I was disappointed"

"This place is an absolute joke. I arrive at the shop at 12.05am on a Friday night as the website said they close at 2am. I turned up, the shutters were down and there were people inside the shop. I called from outside the shop and told them I'm here to order food, they said they closed at 11pm. I said their website said they close at 2am, the worker wasn't offering any explanation and kept saying they were closed. This made me incredibly angry as I drove 15 minute to this spot as it was halal and i heard it was a relatively popular franchise. The whole ordeal was absolutely shambolic, there were no clarity and it was downright frustrating. I'm not from the area but if I come back I will avoid this place at all cost. Pathetic."

"We were the only diners, apart from a big coach party of the pensioners. There was a self-service car set up for them that gave the impression of a budget-eating option. We sat at the edge of the room and felt like intruders. The menu selection was not very extensive and there was no set menu option. The scallop star was 3 scallops for just under £10. The veggie risotto was boiled and stodgy I suspect it was from the freezer. My pest should be plucked, but it was boiled under and showed no signs of any taste that panfries would have given. The skin would not separate from the meat because it had not been cooked enough and was soggy. The waitress made a complete mesh to fill it for me, I ended up with an inconspicuous and inconspicuous bunch of fish I couldn't eat as I couldn't separate the skin. The fish was cold until then, I ate it. The sauce served with the fish was disgusting. It was all unacceptable for a four-star hotel. We would have had a bar meal that looked much more attractive and there was a wide range. (The bar also serves great cocktails.) We stayed at the hotel during the visit of family so food seemed the best choice, but while we would stay at the hotel again, we would not try to eat again in this restaurant."

"The first time we tried this restaurant, we had the best fish and chips we've had in a long time. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, and the delivery service was excellent. This will now be my go-to place for fish and chips."

"Although the aesthetics look good I can't say the same for the service and food. Told my order at the bar hadn't gone through when it had then they agreed it had otherwise I would have paid them twice The meal we booked had the finest starters. My main was beef stroganoff which had 99 per cent mushrooms in it. I returned the dish then waited what felt like an age and then got served what looked and tasted like bisto gravy with a few strips of what tasted just like liver. I gave up left it and ordered a dessert as I was hungry. Then as it was getting late bar staff started spraying disinfectant next to me in the bartop whilst other staff milled around with mop buckets. Ordered a cookie and vanilla ice cream sandwich. Waitress came out with double chocolate cookie and chocolate ice cream which I didnt order an d don't like them waltzed off . In fact they all did. We were up there totally on our own where you are supposed to pay at your table . After waiting a bit we went downstairs and tried to pay at the other bar where I complained. They gave me 50 per cent off my stroganoff and apologised. Then mix up with my payment again . Eventually got out of there. It ruined our evening which was meant to be a celebration and feel let down by The Hunloke."

"First, I want to clarify that I am not a vegan, but I was invited to dine at this restaurant. To be honest, I've never been particularly fond of vegan food, but I was so impressed by the dining experience, service, and quality here that I’m seriously reconsidering my choices. We used the app to place our order, and our food was delivered to our table almost instantly. Everything was fresh and exactly as described. I tried the oyster mushroom burger, and honestly, it was incredibly delicious. We also ordered fries to share, and a generous portion was served. The burger itself was filled and perfectly balanced. I was truly impressed. Keep up the great work, everyone!"

"Me and my Other half have visited a few times before so i thought I would Share my Thoughts. We Booked a Prepaid Three Course Meal Which was a Gift a week in advanced as it can be Difficult to get a table. We were Greeted straight away and shown to our Table, We Ordered two glasses of Wine. It was a bit of a Rocky Start as the Waitress dropped the Wine over me and my Partner, They were Very Apologetic and got everything Cleaned up Right away, for me it wasn't a too big of a Deal as Accidents Happen, they Offered that the next drink is on the house which was a very Kind Gesture Most Restraunts would still charge after a Similar ordeal I had the Classic Tomato Bruschetta, Bolognese and Tiramisu, My partner had the Mozzarella Cheese Sticks, Chicken and pepper Pizza and Honeycomb Cheesecake. Everything was Cooked Fresh and Tasted Fantastic Bruschetta was Excellent! I have No Complaints on the Food, It is Delicous. It is Not the Best I have Experienced but it is the Best in Boston. Both The starters and the Mains came to Our table rather Quickly which was Brilliant, The Desert took just over 20 Minutes. The Staff also had Superb service, Extremely polite, friendly and Truly Dedicated in making your Experience as Pleasant as Possible. Aside from the Slight mishap With the Wine The waitress seemed very Nervous on that Night Bless her, It was very busy She helped clean us Up after and Still kept her Professionalism! I Really do Reccomend this Restraunt to anybody, Couples, Families and friends. The Food is Marvellous, Nicely Presented and Delicous. The staff especially make it a Pleasant Experience."

"When I was invited to visit Kintan a small international Japanese chain , London’s first Japanese BBQ restaurant in their words , I was intrigued. London is a bit sushi obsessed and I’m glad these guys have opened up to break the monotony. The outside of this restaurant is quite plain and you would be quite oblivious to what it holds. You wouldn’t think much of the place unless you enter and you’re taken in by the huge open space that stretches out and the modern Japanese inspired decor. There’s a wide selection of seating. From conventional dining tables to booths. Our table was fitted with a built-in grill. I love the whole concept of cooking at your table. I know some people would have a different opinion “why should I cook my own food in a restaurant?!” but I think it’s a lot of fun and great for dates! ; unless you’ve never cooked in your life, in which case…NO! They have an extensive menu but it’s all split up by times of the day so you won’t be drowning in options. We went for the premium option from their dinner menu because we are fat pigs and wanted to try most of their dishes. At a price tag of £44.50 per person this isn’t cheap so save it for a special occasion if you must. But if you’re like me, then whatever- go treat yourself! :P Also be warned, make sure you come with an appetite or else you won’t be able to finish everything in this set dinner. With 6 starters, 7 mains and a dessert course- you’d definitely want to be rolled back home. While waiting for our feast to begin, we looked around. They had a NY based architect come and design their interior and it looks great. Open, spacious and a little Japanese touch here and there. We ordered our drinks and my friend ordered their special sake. He gave it a thumbs up! Very quickly, our starters starting raiding our table. First off was a town full of edamame beans with a generous sprinkle of sea salt. I love edamame beans as they are a perfect snack option too! The Kintan Salad was surprisingly delicious. I’m not a salad person but that special Kintan dressing transformed this plain salad dish into something I kept on eating. It was fresh, crunchy and the right amount of dressing to make it extra special. But I had to control myself as there were far more dishes on their way. Their service is quite efficient. Hot Oil Seared Salmon was delicate in taste but if dipped in the oil mixture became more powerful. My taste buds were having too much fun to stop! Garlic fried noodles looked great and I was having food envy by looking at them even when our food had not arrived. But sadly it had pork in it so my friend got to eat ALL of it. Sad times. They were devoured quite quickly so I suppose that’s a good sign ; I absolutely loved Tuna Tartare Volcano which was a fried block of rice topped with tuna tartare mixed with their special marinade. O.MY.GOD! Why did I order so much food?! The only criticism I have for this dish is that the rice base was too thick and it should be made thinner. Otherwise the starters are enough to fill you up. There’s no way 2 people can finish everything :P A portable table was placed next to us and it got filled with meats of all sorts, prawns and scallops! We were in meat heaven. With our grill ready and sizzling- we started cooking the marinated meat. The great thing about their grills is that they’re fitted with special parts that suck out all the smell and smoke of the grill. Otherwise sitting there would be quite unbearable! So lucky for us, we were quite content with BBQ-ing our own meat :D Their meat is sourced from UK, US and New Zealand and you can tell it was of high quality and fresh because it didn’t take long to cook. It was tender to the bite and the marinade was just perfect so we hardly used the dipping sauces. The one’s that stood out for me was the Filet Mignon- Yuzu Ponzu and the Premium Kaibi Short Rib. The scallops and prawns were okay. They did not stand out much in terms of taste. The meat dishes are clearly the heroes of this menu. There was also a selection of vegetables to BBQ which we barely touched except the mushrooms. Sorry mom! :P I also did not fancy BBQ-ing a huge piece of onion. If they were cut into smaller pieces then I might have but I had plenty of salad and edamame to fill in for my 5 a day. Khe khe khe! By this time, I was slouched in my side of the booth. Ready to give up. I could not eat another bite even though the succulent pieces of meat were beckoning me to not give up on them. Phew! That was one joy ride. We took a little breather before the dessert course and I went for a little walk around the restaurant. There is so much seating in this restaurant and they had more downstairs. There were a couple of people sitting there but it was so cold and lack of heating made me shiver. I don’t know how people could sit there in the cold and eat. I bet the BBQ helped! I came back to our dessert course sitting on the table- the assorted mochi ice cream. Mmmmhmm! they were presented elegantly and looked delicious. One thing I would commend Kintan is on the level of care they put into serving their food. While their serving plates were hot for hot food, the platter for their dessert was chilled so even if you took your sweet time in eating your dessert, it wouldn’t melt. Now that’s how I like my dessert to be served- chilled to perfection! The mochi ice cream was quite interesting and one that I’ve never eaten before. The three different flavours were encased in a round shell of jelly with different flavours and textures. Inside each was a different flavour of their ice cream- green tea, caramel and sesame seed. It was the perfect end to the meal and quite refreshing after eating all that meat :P My favourite out of the three was the sesame seed one ad least memorable one is the green tea. Green tea shouldn’t be a dessert! But before we could call it quits, we were also treated to the Kintan special ice cream. Again, super chilled bowl and a scoop of their ice cream topped with black honey and soya dust. Yummmmy!"

"It is one of the well-known international restaurants that is distinguished by its various forms of grilled chicken without grilled breast bone or with bone, a quarter or half of a chicken, as it suits your need for food or wings. We started with an order of hummus with bread, olives and chicken liver With a choice of side dishes, including fried or mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw salad, Mexican rice, or grilled corn. There are dishes with rice or sandwiches, all with grilled chicken It is preferable to book before entering"

"I went here with my boyfriend for a few drinks and dinner before the cinema on Saturday night. It’s perfectly located near Angel station in a quiet, cool part of Islington. There was a relaxed atmosphere that was just bustling enough, and the staff were so nice. This is a vegan pub, which was great as we knew we could get any drink we wanted without having to get our phones out to check ingredients. There’s a good range of vegan burgers on the menu, along with cheesy polenta chips (delicious) and mozzarella sticks. All vegan! We had the hot seitan burgers and polenta chips and they were really great. Quick, friendly service and good portion sizes. A great place to come with a group of pals for a relaxing drink and food. Loved it!"

"My husband and I came here to celebrate his birthday. We’re both vegan (husband is also lactose intolerant) and a friend had highly recommended this place. We each ordered a different vegan pizza which were both delicious. One of the best pizzas we’ve ever had,...the best pizza we’ve had in the UK by a mile. I don’t know wine, but my husband was very impressed with the white that was recommended with his pizza. We finished with espresso and limoncello. Couldn’t fault a thing. It’s a real Italian pizzeria with a relaxed atmosphere and simple yet delicious food. It’s clear they use high quality ingredients. The service was good too. Would love if there was a vegan dessert option sorbet in the summer would be lovely. But even without dessert, still stars! Can’t wait to come back."

"Went to this restaurant with a friend new to vegan food and we were very positively impressed! We ordered different things as we wanted to try many things: deep fried aubergine and cauliflower for starters, which were delicious. One burger each and a tiramisú to share. The tiramisú was the highlight of the meal for me, and my friend was very impressed with the options and enjoyed all of it. The service was impeccable, very attentive and friendly. The bill was somewhat experience but at the end of the day, we ate well and enjoyed our time there. Would recommend."

"Visited this little gem for the first time 6/4/23. Very pleased with the service, lovely atmosphere and the food was fab. I ordered the gammon. It came with chips, a fried egg that was cooked perfect and a chargrilled pineapple slice. It is up there with the best gammon I’ve eaten in a long time. I would very happily return in the future."
