"a very special and romantic place worth visiting. everything from service to eating was from highest standard. the attentive and careful staff were fab, eating was delicious and fascinating. my partner enjoyed his vegetarian options on the tasting menu. the facility was well maintained to make them feel as if they are in a rustic, dated and totally enticing heart. we had been happy that we made our reservation on the day of our visit, but I would highly recommend booking well in advance, as a pre-booked taxi service is essential to along the charming winding and narrow roads."

"Thank you Lutyens for another excellent lunch. My sister who joined me as my guest had a broken foot and the manager and staff were most accommodating in finding a box to stand it on so it was raised. The Dover sole is always very good but as a beer drinker could they stock Birra Moretti as well as Peroni as the former is much nicer and it's what the Italians drink!"

"Nobu Old Park Lane, as well as its sister restaurant on Berkeley Street had previously held a Michelin Star for a long period of time before they were both demoted in the 2014/15 guide. I wonder how much that demotion has actually impacted on their business. Judging on our recent visit on a Saturday night, I would guess not very much. The restaurant was packed with young, hip and trendy with girls in outfits so skimpy you wonder if their intention was to indulge in naked sushi. Then again, maybe I am turning into an old foggy. The original Nobu London opened in 1997 and it is a testament to the brands power and unique food that it remains relevant in today’s fickle, trendy dining scene. The website does not advertise it very well, but the restaurant is located in the Metropolitan by COMO hotel on Park Lane which location provides a lovely backdrop if you are lucky enough to snare a window seat with views of Hyde Park."

"Wonderful food, as usual! Had our favorite dishes: new style sashimi is great (white fish, tuna, salmon), crispy rice with spicy tuna, king crab tempura, avocado salad, baby spinach salad with crab, black cod miso, all was good and as expected. We were able to try new dishes: Black lobster tempura was great, the lobster with truffle butter and spicy lemon dressing, is one I would order again. The best new dish we tried tonight was the Chilean Sea Bass Umami which is new on their menu, and I hope they keep it as it was excellent. Unfortunately, the artichoke salad seemed to have been missing the artichoke! As for the service, we are always ordering a few items as we go and we are used to being served promptly. This time, for most of the meal, the service was slower than usual and at the end, we couldn’t order the last couple of plates we wanted because we were rushed. We had to help ourselves with the water and the wine was not served to our expectations. In addition, a waitress coughed into her hand as she was holding our wine just prior to serving us. All-in-all, we hope it was just a one off, we hope our next experience will be as good as we usually expect it."

"The food at this restaurant is incredibly delicious. The service is outstanding and the staff is very welcoming. We are frequent patrons of this establishment. While the music was a bit too loud at first, it was quickly adjusted to a more enjoyable volume after we brought it to their attention."

"we had a secret escape break after friends recommended us amberley castle and we were not disappointed. when we arrived, as many people with lunch or afternoon there were no places in the parking lot, this was soon solved as the reception told us where we left our car and we left the key with them and our car was moved as soon as a room was available. our room was amazing, all the staff are excellent and make sure that their stay is the best possible, and what can I say exceptionally. amberley castle is not cheap, but they will certainly get a good value for money when they have a special celebration, this is a place that I recommend and hope to return a day."

"I've been using Natural Spice for years and years. After the last change of management or refurb, the food only got better but strangely the Poppadoms got a little soft. I didn't give on and they have nailed it Okay it's a small detail but when the food gets better and that first pompom doesn't crunch, it smarts a bit Happy to say they fixed the smallest detail. This isn't Indian. It's British Indian food with Arabic and Mediterranean flavours. I recommend that you deep dive the menu and don't be afraid to ask them to add subtract and mix ingredients for you #natspicebromance"

"Delivery takes the ****. I ordered food from Uber Eats, whoever my delivery driver was, he was rude and arrogant. He received my address very clearly. The location I’m at has two postcodes: one ending 7sx and the other 7ss both postcodes will get you at the same location. I called him to ask how long it would take, rudely he hang up by saying you should give me one postcode, without understanding that both postcodes are technically the same. He kept talking and don’t let me finish and explain him and he hung up two times while I wasn’t speaking. When he was outside, he was walking towards me, I was ringing him and noticed him, I waived I said is it you? He didn’t respond, I thought he might not have heard, I said it again, he ignored me. Don’t do delivery job if you don’t know how to get to a simple address and sorry to say but if the guy was even a bit friendly, I could have been a bit patient and understanding but it is his mistake and he shows me attitude?!"

"In the middle of a busy week, I decided to be a little naughty by jumping off the work for a few hours. A quick text to my friend and a finished customer meeting later, I was on my way to a lazy lunch. We had heard about the recent White Swan at Chancery Lane. Mr. Flavour and I were once regular and could not wait to see the new version. Unfortunately for him, he was gone in business, letting the ladies explore in his absence. This former irrigation hole was historically a popular hunt for the Fleet Street press brigade before turning into a Posh pub and dining room. Now again opened as a pub and cophouse, the locals are already coming in the queue. At the entrance we served the delicious flavors from the dining room on the upper floor. However, rule number one of boozy lunch dictates a freky G T must be consumed before eating one. Gin is something the white swan has in abundance! Our sophisticated bartender led us to a Hendrick's gin, served long and chilled with a cucumber band. That's the point! The new chophouse theme was certainly well preserved. The white tablecloths and wallpapers are replaced by trendy exposed brickwork and deep stained wooden tables. This beautiful room is available for private rentals and would be a great place to impress your friends or colleagues. The menu consists of pub favorites, cuts of British finest meat and fresh fish from South Coast Day boats and British fishing ports. If Mr. Flavour had been here, he would have made a hive for the 45-day White Park Sirloin with Béarnaise and big chips. We believed something easier. The salad baked Celeriac, Blue Monday cheese and Kale salad with chestnuts was divine and flavored with a beautiful earthy seasonality. My friend ordered Iron Age “Pick and brawn”, Pickles and English Senf, who came in the form of a terrine. I couldn't resist helping me to a greedy disaster. The Albarinho was certainly a suitable partner for the fish nets to follow. Fluffy fish cakes with peas tomato relish were mouth-watering crispy and burst with horror. I had never ordered Gurnard before and his fleshy texture was beautifully complemented with braided fennel. The big chips were absolutely smashed and made us dessert without room. As much as I enjoy a maid lunch, it's time like this when I miss my pretty man and his inexorable appetite. A quick espresso later I was returned to the office with a spring in my step and a very satisfied belly. I can't wait to introduce my customers to this wonderful new venue, available 7 days a week."

"We ordered a big family meal from Priya Lounge on the 7th July for my mothers bday meal, and I must say I am very happy we chose this restaurant, the food was absolutely delicious! We had ordered about x9 mix tandoori starters which was a great choice as it came with a variety of sheesh kebabs, chicken tikka lamb tikka, for the price and the taste is was a bargain! We ordered an array of curry dishes and a couple of biryani dishes which were all cooked to perfection and really nice and authentic just like my family I like. The gentleman on the phone who took our order was called Miah and I happened to mention that it was for my mothers bday meal and when we received the order we had been given a complimentary king prawn dish for my mom as a special treat, which we really appreciated and was a nice touch. Very rare do we order asian food from takeaways as we tend to cook it at home, but I am glad we chose Priya lounge for this special occasion and hope to order from there again soon."

"When we arrived the restaurant wasn't so full and the service was amazing, very attentive. Towards the end of our meal, the service attention slowed down as they were trying to service too many tables, which was a shame. Our waiter was still lovely though, even though he looked a bit more stressed. We didn't have a desert as we ended up waiting too long for the menus, and when we finally got them we said it was too late as we needed to leave and he was very apologetic. Not really his fault at all, but we appreciated him apologising.. The food quality was still good, the Devils Kidneys were delicious and the skinny fries were cooked to perfection. I was disappointed we didn't get a desert in but we had to leave for a train, had the waiter brought us the menus sooner, we may just have had time to experience one."

"This could only ever have been 5 stars! After the much publicised closure of Mark Greenaways restaurant at Piccardy Place we all waited with baited breath to find out where he was heading to. From his words at the Foodies Christmas Fair to his updates on twitter he was giving nothing away. So clandestine was this becoming that a head chef from another restaurants comment on twitter that he looked forward to having Mark as a neighbour lead to the rumour he was off to the Royal Mile. Then, just two weeks ago, he announced his new location as 67 North Castle Street the site of a former Italian Restaurant and once upon a time an RBS branch. I was delighted to have a reason for booking for opening weekend, as Stephs parents are in town for their birthday weekend and we couldn't think of anywhere we would rather take them. So roughly 3 minutes after the announcement of the new restaurant was made I had my reservation request sent. Roll on two weeks and last night was the night I've been waiting for, all the more eagerly after such positive comments from those who attended the launch party and Yelpers Jackie.G and Claire.L who were there for opening night. The first thing that strikes you upon entering in that all of the staff have stayed with Mark, infant he confirmed later he didn't lose any of his staff despite being closed for 7 weeks. Once seated you soon see that Mark and his team have been able to recreate the wonderful ambiance the had at Piccardy Place. To the menu and from the à la carte it was good to see he has kept the favourites while also introducing something new to lift the menu further. Once we had ordered, the sommelier Loic who we have gotten to know was kind enough to show us his new wine vault, with this having been an RBS the original vault in the basement remains. Given how little time they have has to prepare its amazing how much they have achieved. The wood work and the style they have given this room is really impressive. Loic explained that they intend to further develop the vault and diner will be able to select their wines with an illustrated world map on the wall providing further details. Loic will also be on hand advising and giving diners tasting samples of suggested pairing wines. As soon as we sat down we were presented with our amuse bouchée, as espuma on f shallots. Can't such much about this other than it was delicious. Slight sweetness with earthy undertones it was a great way to start our meal. For my starter I chose the pave of pigs cheek, served with warm apple jelly, apple purée a flavoured meringue, the pave is wrapped in beetroot carpaccio. This is a dish which has gone through a few developments since I first had it at the Great British Menu party and its only gotten better. The balance of the deep flavour of the cheek with apple and beetroot is superb. It's a dish I would happily order again and again. For my main I went for the tasting of lamb. Succulent tender lamb, deep jus, aromatic rosemary, buttery mash and earthy brussel sprouts.......delicious! The lamb came three ways, a loin chop, a piece of filet and some leg. The flavour of the lamb was just incredible, the seasoning brought out the taste as much as Amy producer could hope for. To finish I decided to revisit a favourite of mine the broken citrus tarte. This dish simply put is a work of art in appearance and just as tasty. The zing of the parfait is beautifully matched by the coconut, watermelon cubes clean the palate and the pistachio purée adds another dimension when combined. After dinner Loic was also kind enough to take me back to the vault and give me a sample of the most incredible muscat I have ever tasted, larger quantities will be required when my dry January has finished. All in all the meal was superb, Stephs parents were delighted and then even more so when they had a good ten minute chat with the man himself Mr Greenaway. Mark is such a friendly guy and willingness to chat to customers at the end of a service does him great credit. With the excitement that has surrounded this opening I can say the product more than lives up the hype. Undoubtedly they have a lot of work to do but with Marks inventive cooking and the team he has around him I am confident this new venture will be a massive success. Restaurant Mark Greenaway comes highly JD Recommended!"

"We booked for Thanksgiving dinner here as it was a feature of their restaurant and we were here on Holiday during Thanksgiving. Booking was easy, but required a 20 pound deposit that had to be made via filling out a PDF and emailing back. It was in a cool part of the city and the decoration was irreverent, but not overstated and had a lovely family atmosphere. Waitresses were more than nice, albeit a little spread thin. O can't speak the the typical food, but the Thanksgiving menu was very much aligned with the traditional American meal. It's hard to know if it was my American tastebuds or not, but the meal seemed to be a little heavy handed in seasoning. The gravy instead of being rich and comforting was a little vinegary. The turkey was well cooked without being overcooked (still tender/juicy). Cranberry sauce was DELIGHTFUL, and the veg was average. The dessert missed the mark as the pecan pie was over-baked, but came with a little American flag, so points for style. The squash soup was my favorite with strong garlic overtones and a truffle oil finish. Can't speak to the drinks as I am unable to drink alcohol for now. Would love the opportunity to try the regular menu, and would come back just for the atmosphere."

"Unfortunately, the restaurant was packed the night we went. We had made a reservation through Open Table for a party of 4 but were treated as walk-ins and given a table near the door and next to a table of 10 who were extremely loud. As a result, the service was below par and we could hardly hear ourselves over the din. The wine waiter was lacking in education and skills and we were left to pour our own wines during the meal. The food was also below par— 3 of us had the house specialty (schnitzel) which was dry and lacking in presentation. Overall, this was a disappointing experience compared to favourable dining at other restaurants in the group — Bellanger and Colbert."

"I found it strange that on a saturday evening when the bar was filled with people on a night out, that families where asked to go buy their first drink at the bar while the table was prepared. I was at the bar for 20 minutes (due to people having cocktails made), and had to leave my kids standing in the middle of a crowded bar. There was actually a family put on a dinner table which is in the bar and their young kids were being barged by party goers...not great."

"While the food and ambience is good, I was taken aback when after booking via OpenTable the waitress was not able to find my booking. Furthermore, she stated we don't use OpenTable and so this was not a valid booking, inspite of my showing the email confirmation and the booking on the app. Wasn't a nice start to an evening when I was taking guests over there, but the food and service thereafter was decent. Pricing is a bit high, but then it has made a name and so was packed even on a Thursday evening. Worth visiting. Perhaps book directly."
