"I was so looking forward to this big night out and have to say I was left very dissapointed. On arrival at the door I was handed two flyers for buy one drink get one free. This was at 1925. After struggling to find your restaurant in the darkness I was greeted by a staff member and shown to a large booth. There was a large party on a Christmas night out occupying the length of the room. It took 25 minutes for our drinks to arrive as it seemed to take 5 staff members to serve this table of 30! We were then handed our menu which compared to the online menu was reduced considerably much to our dissapointment. Your website mentions no alterations during December. We chose our food and the starters arrived relatively quickly. After our initial dissapointment at the poor service it was somewhat redeemed by a gift bag containing a Christmas card, sweets and more drinks vouchers. We ordered 3 drinks each (expensive cocktails) pleased with our vouchers that we were only paying for 3 of the 6. On trying to redeem these I was then informed the promtion finished at 1900 note I was at a 1930 dinner reservation!! Not at 2100 as advertised on the vouchers. I was then informed by the surly girl that Tiger Tiger have the right to remove or alter these promotions at any time. Nicely done legal eagle!! Overall. Totally gutted. My nice mother daughter Newcastle trip that we saved so hard for was ruined. Not even a genuine apology from anyone. I wont be back. Oh and your toilets are disgusting!!!"

When I arrived at the restaurant, I was given two flyers offering a buy one, get one free drink deal from 1925. It was a struggle to find the restaurant in the dark, but once I did, I was greeted by a hostess and shown to my table. The restaurant was packed with a big Christmas party, which seemed to slow down the service. It took 25 minutes for our drinks to arrive, and the menu was much smaller than what was advertised online, which was a letdown. However, we did receive a gift bag with a Christmas card, candy, and more drink vouchers, which partially made up for the slow service. I tried to redeem one of the drink vouchers, only to be told that the promotion had ended at 1900, even though my dinner reservation was at 1930. The staff member then informed me that the restaurant had the right to change or remove promotions at any time. Overall, my mother-daughter trip to Newcastle was ruined by the disappointing experience, and I do not plan on returning. Plus, the restrooms were not well-maintained."

"We had a lovely lunch here today. The roasted vegetables with avocado and hummus roll served with a side salad was really fresh and tasty. Plenty of tea in the pot too. We had two cups each. We followed it with a delicious and clearly homemade fruit scone with just a hint of cinnamon. There was really pleasant music playing in the café and the nice thing was that it wasn't too loud. It was just right and added to the lovely, relaxed atmosphere of the place. The café is in an unassuming little building next to the children's park. This really was a lovely and unexpected find. Yesterday we had lunch at the Garnet Hill Singl End café which I was really looking forward to after seeing it on Instagram. It was a real disappointment. Today's lunch at An Clachan beat it hands down for quality, taste and atmosphere. This is a real hidden gem "

"We booked a table for 15 people at 2.30 in the afternoon and they were able to accommodate us easily. it was very good to find somewhere that could take a large group at one table. The staff were very nice and welcoming but the service suffered as the staffing level was minimal. The food was acceptable, nothing more. We were surprised that they had 'run out of ' sparkling water and Coca Cola... very odd. The view is absolutely super they have a large terrace overlooking Gun wharf, with lots of chairs as it was a lovely day, it was extremely attractive. However, it suffers from being the 'smoking area '. The room inside is pleasant, with high ceilings and very large windows. The 'muzak ' was a ghastly generic/covers track obviously cheap versions of hit songs but 'imitation ' singers quite horrid and too loud. My feeling is that it suffers from being a 'night place/bar ' that does not adapt to the day very well. All in all, disappointing."

"We had a karaoke booth booked from 8 til 9 and the first there made a drinks order at 8.10 which, after we chased it several times, came 40 minutes later leaving 10 minutes to drink them before we had to leave the booth. One of the girls went out to find out what was happening at around half past and saw them sitting on the bar but so they were sitting out with the ice melting for at least 20 minutes before they were brought through. The other half of our order came quicker but the cocktails were disgusting. My mojito tasted like slightly minty water. The brambles were clear so didn 't look like brambles and when my friend asked what it was she was told it was a drink and she should just take it. The Pina colada was awful and the pornstar martini just tasted like fruit juice. We complained and didn 't end up paying for the drinks but only after we were accused of lying about how long the drinks took. This really put a dampener on the start of our night and I wouldn 't go back."

"Only people in the restaurant. Now we know why. The poor waiter was on his own and looked like he was working the bar as well. Food took forever and was cold. the menu was missing lots of items. This was a celebratory meal with our families for our engagement and they had travelled an hour and half to come for it. Think living room should have warned us and we would have booked elsewhere. Not even an apology or warning until we complained at the end. Just stick to drinks and stop doing food!"

"The restaurant experience was a total disaster! We arrived and our table was ready, but were initially told we couldn't order from the menu because we hadn't booked through OpenTable ourselves. After complaining, they allowed us to order and the food was very nice. However, my friend received the wrong alcohol at the bar, but they quickly corrected the mistake and gave her a refund. We were then asked to leave the table as it was booked for another party, even though we had spent around 500 pounds in the 2 hours we were there. The manager, Nicola, was unapologetic and did not offer any other solutions. This ruined my birthday celebration and left us feeling very dissatisfied. Additionally, we were charged over £5 for a half pint due to the broken pumps, which were not fixed. Overall, the club was a complete joke and I would never return. The management needs to improve their customer service skills and professionalism. As a retail manager myself, I would never treat my customers this way. I hope my feedback is taken on board. "As soon as I walked in, I liked the aesthetic of the restaurant. I sat down and ordered my food with my amigos. I had the pulled brisket nachos and was surprised at the portion size, it wasn’t a small starter like most restaurants but...large, delicious and clearly fresh. I also had the Mexican lasagna which I never heard of before but it was amazing and I couldn’t finish it as it was so filling. I also had a cocktail which was good and a slush which was good too. I had gone to birthday and asked for a birthday dessert as surprise. the server had just said yes. our table had been cleaned and only within seconds the server brings out the birthday dessert without warning and puts this dessert on the table. we had no time to sing, there was no music, so we left singing alone after the dessert was already on the table. the server seemed pretty careless. overall was not the best service, but eating was okay"

"I read reviews here complaining of orders not arriving or being cold, but decided to take a chance anyway assuming it was just a one-off issue. Unfortunately, 2.5 hours after placing my order, my food still hadn't arrived. I received a notification that it was on its way, but it never showed up. They didn't even bother to let me know so I could order from somewhere else before closing time, despite having my phone number. I tried calling them multiple times, but they wouldn't pick up. Even the third-party food delivery app I used couldn't get through to them. If you plan to dine in at the restaurant, this review may not apply to you. However, I wouldn't recommend ordering online from them at all. There's a high chance your order won't be delivered or will be cold by the time it finally arrives. It's impossible to reach them by phone and their customer service is severely lacking. In all my years of ordering from restaurants, this is the first time I've experienced such poor service."

"We decided to have a treat and order from Eddies. We ordered a chilli cheeseburger, the full English, Cajun chicken burrito, cheese dog and chips. When the food arrived the burrito was missing, the chilli cheeseburger had no cheese and the full English had no beans or toast as advertised. I contacted the restaurant to try and get this issue resolved and they said that they had sent it out and basically told me the driver had stolen it telling me to contact Uber eats. I said if it’s stolen I would be better calling the Police. The male on the end of the phone then started to get abusive and said to another male you deal with this f’ing guy. Another male came on the phone being abusive and told me to phone the f’ing police before hanging up. Has to be one of the worst examples of customer service I have ever experienced and it was not my fault. The bag arrived double tied so it would not have been the delivery driver. Basically I have had been screwed over by the restaurant and when I challenged this they become abusive because they had been found out. If you want quality service don’t use this place."

"We went last night (7th August) for a quick bite. I was really impressed with the service. The waitress outside the front (we were seated in the patio/outside section) was really friendly and helpful. I ordered a starter portion of prawn tacos and the way in was prepared was not what I was expecting (not due to the kitchen's fault, just my expectation). I mentioned this to the waitress and I guess the manager (not 100% sure who the man was that I spoke to) and they kindly altered the dish for me so that I could enjoy it more! Above and beyond expectation. They also gave us complimentary drinks because of the inconvenience. I hope these guys are recognised, this is what true service is!...read more"
