"As soon as I walked in, I liked the aesthetic of the restaurant. I sat down and ordered my food with my amigos. I had the pulled brisket nachos and was surprised at the portion size, it wasn’t a small starter like most restaurants but...large, delicious and clearly fresh. I also had the Mexican lasagna which I never heard of before but it was amazing and I couldn’t finish it as it was so filling. I also had a cocktail which was good and a slush which was good too. The staff were friendly, polite and would check if we needed anything often. Overall a great experience and I would come again"

Been twice recently latest visit was last night. Food and service was excellent both times. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We had Mexican Paella and Fajitas. Well tasty. If you haven't been give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

Went for an early tea and really enjoyed the food. Fajitas were gorgeous. Husband was a bit disappointed with the burrito more rice than meat but still enjoyed it. The only drawback was that there were quite a few families with noisy young children,...as in screaming, banging cutlery. That is, of course, not the fault of the restaurant but did spoil the occasion somewhat. Probably better to go later on when hopefully young children wouldn’t be in there. Overall though a very pleasant visit. The staff are excellent and service was great.

Came for a weekday date night, we hadn’t been before but will definitely be back we had the 2 burritos for £20 deal and it was definitely worth the money the portions were so big and tasted amazing, I had the cherry cola cocktail it...was unreal ! Joanna who looked after us went above and beyond and made our experience even more enjoyable such a friendly face , the young lad who brought us our bill and cleaned our table was also great . The only thing I would say is the starters are fairly small portions but compared to the massive mains it kind of makes sense.

"After reading the reviews we was really looking forward to eating here ,however it turned out to be the worst tapas and worst service we have ever received . After waiting 10 minutes for someone to take our drinks order we then waited a further 30 mins to be served with what can only be described as toast with tasteless mushed up tomatoes on , this was inedible and hardly touched , a further 20 minutes on and we was served a single dish of chicken between two of us again this was very bland and resembled nothing like a original tapas dish more like a chicken korma again this was hardly touched . When I enquired as to where the rest of the food was I was told they was very busy . With this we decided to cut our loses and asked for the bill . Before leaving we tried to have a conversation with the manager who is also the chef to give some honest feedback ,however he wasn’t open to listening , he’s response was “it’s normal in a tapas restaurant to receive one dish at a time between two with a large gap between dishes wasn’t it explained to you that’s what tapas is “We felt this was a very patronising remark as we eat tapas on a regular basis and know this is definitely not the case . To matters worse there was people who came in after us with multiple plates and tucking in nicely to their meals . The manager who was obviously struggling to cope on a busy Saturday night should have just apologised and admitted our order had been overlooked . If you are looking for authentic Tapas with excellent service in Wigan go to Casa Carlos this place doesn’t deserve your hard earned money ."
