"I went to Albert’s castlefield yesterday, ordered the chicken. It came out incredibly dry and my friend ordered chips which weren’t cooked and were anaemic. No one came to our table to ask how the food was, only when we’d finished. I didn’t eat any of the chicken, I put some on my friends plate for her to try and she agreed. We spoke to a waitress at the end and she said ‘so sorry about that, is there anything you would like instead’ I said yes please il just have a dessert, sticky toffee pudding which was actually nice. When the bill came they’d put all the food on! I ended up speaking to what I’m guessing was the manager who said, I didn’t tell anyone at the time this was because no one came to the table to ask! she also stated I’d eaten my chicken, which me and my friend both stated to her I ate none of it! I put it on my friends plate for her to try which was evident on her plate. Eventually the manager took the dessert off the bill. I’ve been before and it’s never been like this such a shame. I was here few weeks ago and it was lovely. Completely disappointing"

The quality of the food was superb with so many different flavours. I would highly recommend the chilli prawns to start and seabass for the main."

"Heard so many good reviews about Quays gastro bar in portrush so called in on a Friday around 7.00pm. It was quite busy with holiday families however we had a short wait in the beer garden which was very pleasant and had a beer during our wait for restaurant. The restaurant itself was in contrast to the beer garden was very dark in fact the walls were painted black and ambiance not great for a dining experience (we would have been happy sitting in the enclosed section of the beer garden) The meal itself was fair to poor, my rump steak texture was not like it should be I had the feeling it was put through some sort of tenderising process and not great like a good steak freshly cooked should be, garlic fries were just ok. My wife chicken strips coated in breadcrumbs the coating so salty she could not eat them, I am more salt tolerant but they were so salty I could not eat them either. We are not people who complain and the staff were very pleasant and I did leave a tip. So Quays I have to say huge disappointment and will not return."

"Went for lunch and found that the food and service was of high quality. They catered for my wife who has an egg allergy and even discounted her food which is unheard of, in these times. The staff were very friendly and professional and although the Sunday menu is limited (understandable due to the pandemic), the food was great and good value for money. They also had a live musician who was brilliant. We will book again and try the more varied menu in the near future. Also the location is a few minutes from Regents park and ideal for a lovely stroll afterwards. finally, thank you to the staff and management for making it a lovely experience at THE NEW INN."

"Me and my husband took our 2 children down The Bull for lunch a few Saturdays ago. Excellent for the kids as have play area, children's booths and had a bouncy castle that particular weekend. Love how accommodating they are for children.... slush puppies, popcorn, mocktails, icecream, fab kids menu etc. We had a nice bit of food too, love the summer grill menu. Place was well maintained and clean. Staff were very friendly. Bit of a wait at the outdoor bar but what do you expect on a Saturday when the weather is lovely! Will be returning soon, thank you for a great afternoon!!!"

"I ordered a rare steak, and it was cooked exactly how I like it. For starters, I had the scallops, which were delightful. On a quiet Sunday evening, the restaurant wasn’t very busy, and if I had to nitpick, I’d say the area where the cutlery was being refilled and the glasses were being cleaned could have been a bit tidier. However, this minor detail didn’t ruin our experience at all. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. While it's not the cheapest option, I believe you truly get what you pay for, and it was definitely worth it. I look forward to returning soon!"

"The dining experience was excellent, and the wine was served at the perfect temperature. The ambiance was warm and pleasant, and the personal attention we received was commendable. However, it was a bit disappointing that there were no linen tablecloths, as they would have added a touch of elegance to the room and tables. "Took my mrs and 2 kids here for a sunday lunch, admittedly this is a curry place but they do say they did a Sunday Lunch on the menu so thought why not. Staff friendly, no issues here. However, the music was weirdly r ..b after r b no issues with r b but its Sunday afternoon and its a restaurant?? and it was properly loud to the point i was having to raise my voice for my family to hear me (and I love music). They also played a song with all sorts of swearing and sexual references, really not what we want with 5 and 3 year old? Thankfully about half way through they must have noticed as it got turned off. Just struck me as though it was an employee playing a list of all their favourite songs and stuff the customers? The most disappointing thing however was the food. We ordered a lamb dinner. I am not being funny, I am not entirely sure we got lamb, it really didn't taste like any lamb I have ever had. Chewy, fully of fat, quite frankly, disgusting. I left half my plate. They gave us a mini jug each of gravy which was about enough to put on a saucer of food let alone a plate. We then got charged £45 which was not near what the menu prices stated (they state £6.99 for a lamb dinner), by this time we just wanted to get out so paid and will not be returning."

"The restaurant was closed despite having made a reservation through OpenTable, which was confirmed. We arrived only to find the doors locked, so we had to call them. When I first spoke to the man who answered, he didn't even realize they were closed. The place seemed entirely abandoned, so we decided to go elsewhere. I understand that they may have had their reasons for being closed, but they really need to cancel reservations or at least inform their customers!"

"I absolutely love this place! I've been there twice when it was at Old School Mountain and once at Adelphi. Out of all the burger spots in Aberdeen, this one is my favorite. The burger is juicy, and the truffle and rosemary salted fries are fantastic. We also enjoyed a lovely bottle of Pinot Noir, which was a great way to kick off our evening! The service that night was exceptional as well, though I didn't catch the name of our server (a woman with dark hair). I highly recommend a visit!"

"We haven’t been for a while but we thought that we would give the breakfast ago. Upon arrival we were surprised to see only 2 people in the restaurant it took a very short time to find out why. We both ordered the classic breakfast the sausage’s were cremated by only Luke warm at best. The mushroom was cooked but was at the temperature of just coming out of the fridge as was the tomato, hash browns had a vague Luke warmth about them as was the bacon. The only thing on the plate that was hot was the eggs but being served on cold plates in a cold restaurant that were themselves cold in a very short time. All in all a totally disappointing experience which we will not be repeating. Would have complained if asked how the food was but didn’t see the server after she delivered the food until I went to look for her to pay."
