"Terrible experience. The only positive was how quickly the food arrived. Everything else was disappointing. First, the waiter brought us a dirty glass. The starters were decent, but my main course had a fly on the tomatoes. There was no apology; my plate was just taken away without a word. For dessert, I ordered the apple cake, which turned out to be very soggy. Once again, it was taken away quickly without any explanation, and I wasn't asked if I wanted anything else or if it should be replaced. I ended up canceling the apple cake and requested the bill. No apologies were offered at any point! Overall, poor service and bad food."

"We are disappointed to hear that Frankie and Benny's in Barrow has closed. We used a Groupon voucher and found it to be great value for money. We were seated promptly and treated with the utmost kindness and respect. The food was delicious, although the fries were a bit cold. The overall atmosphere was great and the service was excellent. "5 stars doesn't seem enough for this place they deserve more. Had a wonderful conversation with the staff here tonight even though they were busy and rushing around that didnt prevent them from giving us their full attention. The manager was running round helping everyone out all over the place and when she was speaking to us 2 waitresses needed her for something but she finished talking to us first before she went to deal with the questions. Its lovely to have such genuine customer service. The food was so tasty and hot. You have made some regular customers from us. Be back soon"

"My daughter and myself took 4 little people here for lunch..... It took us a while to get sorted, the children were very excitable. The young lady waitress came to the table several times before we placed our order.... The children settled down with their colouring mats which were supplied by the restaurant. We were very pleased with the food, the children 's meals were really good value for money Would recommend. I have a 'date ' there next week with a group of adult people"

"We returned to this restaurant for a second time and found it pleasantly quiet for a Sunday evening. The atmosphere was calm, thanks to the lack of crowds. The staff were courteous and friendly, providing good service. We both chose the salmon fillet for our meal. While the portions were on the smaller side, we’re fine with that as we’re trying to cut back on calories. However, without a discount voucher, we wouldn’t choose to dine here again, as the prices feel too high for the portion sizes. They might want to consider offering different plate sizes—small, medium, and large—so diners can pay extra for a larger meal if they prefer. We shared a bottle of house red wine, which we found quite enjoyable. Thankfully, there were no loud birthday celebrations during our visit."

"We visited Franc Bennies and were greeted by a server who handed us a flat glass of Prosecco, which we exchanged for a fresh one. When our two steak frites arrived, both were supposed to be medium but were completely overcooked. They were so tough that I struggled to cut them even with a steak knife, let alone chew them. One of the steaks remained completely untouched (the other person's meal was served outside). "My OpenTable reservation wasn't found in their system, but I'm not sure whether that's an issue with OpenTable or Frankie's. Fortunately, the staff was accommodating and managed to seat us. The waiter was attentive and took our order promptly. I ordered a pepperoni calzone but ended up with a mac and cheese calzone instead. The waiter and manager were very apologetic; they quickly arranged for a replacement and even offered us a complimentary bowl of fries. However, the replacement was also incorrect, though it's understandable since it can be tough to distinguish from the outside. Overall, the food was enjoyable, and the Oreo milkshake was fantastic. I would recommend giving it a try!"

As a result, my wife had to sit at the end of a bench-style table, which wasn't very comfortable. It's frustrating to fill out a special request, receive confirmation, and then see it not fulfilled. Additionally, the music was quite loud, making it difficult for us to hear each other even while sitting close together."
