"My wife and I visited Momo for the first time tonight (8pm). I was a tad apprehensive at first as prior reviews had highlighted potential service problems and excessively loud music. Our experience proved my apprehensions completely unnecessary. Music was lively but kept at a comfortable level. Service was quick, staff personable and attentive. The only point with loud music was a charming 2 minute intermission wherein the staff began to dance, chefs banged on (presumably) pans, and chanting ensued. Livened up the place and ended well before it had overstayed its welcome. Crucially, the food was delightful. The lamb hummus was packed with flavour, and I just had to order more pitta for it. The briouats trio was similarly delicious, though a small portion size (6 bites worth) but to be expected for a starter. The tagines made the night (my wife and I shared the beef and lamb tagines). Tender lamb, broth full of flavour and perfectly balanced spice added depth while highlighting the flavour of the lamb. The beef's pomegranate glaze was a refreshing, modern twist which I found perfect next to the classic flavours of the lamb. Chocolate namelaka for dessert, which had a welcome simplicity in its flavours chocolate ganache and buckwheat ice cream, tiny dollops of jam, and chocolate crumble like my mother used to make. Less is sometimes more, and after the complex flavours from starters through to mains, I found the simple dessert to be the perfect way to send us off."

"We were looking forward to a Saturday evening there to have some food and enjoy some nice beer....the food was good when it came although the food order was wrong and the drink orders were repeatedly wrong after waiting an age to place them. We sat at our table for 25 minutes to begin with before we were even approached for our first drinks order. We were sat in the middle of the restaurant which was cramped and we had other customers chairs banging in to the back of us and the staff for some reason seemed to only serve us from one side of the table meaning we had to pass plates along the table and when they reached across us, dropped cutlery in our laps. Worsed of all was the heat, looking around at the other red sweaty faces of other customers is wasn 't just us suffering, had it been more comfortable we would have stayed until closing to enjoy the beer. Also please get your staff to learn the menu, when asking for mash as a side they repeated back, yep ok ganache ...eeerm no thanks, no chocolate sauce with my bbq chicken thank you!!! All in all a shame, been nice to go there before but this really spoiled a birthday meal."

"Although it was New Year’s Eve, when we arrived, it was clear that the booking hadn’t been transferred from the app to the book by the restaurant and as such we were seated over 35 minutes late. The table was not in a great position as it was in the way of the route to the toilet, but not really a major issue. Apart from when the food was brought to the table, there was no interaction with anyone from the restaurant. I had to chase for additional drinks and for a cloth to clean the table after the starters. Food was good and no complaints there."

"The best meal for our 4-day trip in Lake District. First of all, we received a very warm (on a wet and chilly day) and friendly welcome. The 2-course lunch menu we had was approaching fine dining quality but cost only 23 GBP. You may have a 3-course menu (starter, main and dessert) at 3 GBP more. That is absolutely value for money. This is a casual bistro style restaurant which also offers wine pairing. The recommended wines seemed to be very solid and reasonably priced. Too bad I could not taste any of them as I had to drive back to Glasgow after lunch. Overall, an ideal place to stop over for a meal if you pass by Penrith on your way to or back from the Lake District."

"Thank you so much to Talha for looking after my boyfriend and I as we dined at Mumtaz for my 25th birthday. We have been to Mumtaz many times and Talha was so friendly and welcoming and he really looked after us throughout our starters, mains and even gave us a free chai tea to take with us on our way out. This was all before he even knew it was my birthday which made me appreciate it even more as he was just being kind out of the goodness of his heart. Thanks so much Talha, we will be back again in the future as we have been many times before, always an amazing experience."

"This used to be a wonderful family restaurant with excellent food and a cosy ambience, so we were disappointed when some years ago it downsized to a smaller separate adjoining building and sublet the original restaurant area to other businesses. However, in the smaller Genzo restaurant, the good food and warm family atmosphere remained. We booked Genzo online recently, only to find on arrival that the family restaurant was closed down. There was a notice in the window asking customers to go next door to the glitzy, unattractive sublet business, which has an uninviting atmosphere and decor, is usually empty, has different staff and no doubt a different chef. This is not the friendly, warm place with terrific food which it used to be when run by the family. When we did try the sublet business several years ago not knowing it was no longer the same Genzo Greek the service was terrible and the food below standard. This is the second sublet business to take over, but they apparently don't understand why Genzo was so successful and have changed everything that its customers valued, turning it into just one more modern characterless place to eat rather ordinary food. This is a great shame."

The chicken wrap is exactly like Chicoland when this restaurant first opened they offered one of the better wraps in town and was to a Nandos standard however now its gone downhill to the horrid Chicoland standard The chicken burger was good (comes in a ciabbata square bun)"

"My mother took us (myself, my husband, and a close friend , to TL as a surprise and we had a truly lovely time. This cozy French restaurant has great service and good food. The live piano music we could hear coming from the jazz bar upstairs added to the ambience. The private dining room we were in was intimate and comfortable and didn 't feel too cut off from the rest of the place. The service was attentive but subtle, so none of that is everything ok every 5 minutes. Classic Parisian Bistro dishes, well cooked, so no complaints. They also served a perfect rare steak which was good, as some/many places chicken out of serving anything even slightly pink, so Bravo there. All in all a lovely place to eat with friends and family."

"I had a pleasant dining experience at this restaurant in Glasgow. I was craving Nigerian cuisine and was able to easily find the restaurant using Google Maps. The restaurant itself was clean and had plenty of seating for customers. I enjoyed the Afro music playing in the background, which gave me a feeling of being at home. The menu offered a variety of African Nigerian dishes, drinks, and snacks. I ordered the famous palm wine that I had missed for over 5 years. The prices were reasonable and the customer service was good, although they could benefit from hiring more staff to make the service faster - I had to wait about 30 minutes for my meal. The pounded yam I ordered didn't taste as authentic as I had hoped, but the sweet soup I tried was delicious, albeit a bit watery. The pounded yam, however, was perfectly prepared. Overall, I was satisfied with my visit and would definitely consider returning whenever I am in Glasgow."

"This is a really nice place to eat. The place is nice and clean and the staff are all very well mannered and presented well. The food is on point and the price is decent. The portions are ok. "Usually love Firebird, but booked to go for some dinner with a friend prior to a gig in Kelvingrove Bandstand. Took over an hour to get our food resulting in us having to rush it down to make the gig in time , drinks and sides orders got mixed up. Staff didn't communicate with each other so a lot of confusion over our orders. They were obviously very busy but they should have staff numbers/kitchen to cover bookings. Staff tried their best but it just wasn't up to scratch and very disappointing. Also never mentioned that their card machine wasn't working, so as we were rushing out to our gig, we were informed we would have to go out to cash machine to get cash and return in order to pay, which caused further delay. Probably just a bad night but not good enough when Id recommended it as ideal spot for a quick bite to eat."

"after reading reviews on this page we thought we would look at this restaurant. at the arrival we were surprised to find most of the restaurants quite empty. once we were sitting a look at the menu and decided to order the spinach and cheese rolls...Mix grill, chips and hummus. that came and we were appalled. roll very small rolls and fried they could say that they were not fresh and simply the color that was dark brown. in the inner was overhauled spinach cooked with little to no cheese. the mix grill did not look appetit, small pieces meat on a few spits firm. they looked like they cooked before and just heated up. meat was very dry huh was tasteless kofta had a bad smell! chips was a very small part and cold hummus seemed sweet instead of tange. we did it! I have to take care of the surprise. I messed up the carnival from me to the waiter. everything he wanted was a sorry and has the bill. with not connected or even to offer fresh food! we paid for the superior all the time. this plage is not so bad. I've tortured 4/5 star's."

"Little Petra has amazing food. The flavours are so on point and their lamb is slow cooked and very authentic their lamb and moussaka is a must try. The owner is passionate about his business and personally rang to follow up with me about an issue I had on a delivery last time, and we resolved the issue and he even provided me some desserts on the house when he heard my knee was injured and I couldn't walk. The food on delivery this time was fresh, hot, and very good portions with a decent amount of meat. Very happy to see Jordanian cuisine in Cambridge with such authentic flavour and an owner who takes pride in his restaurant and making sure every issue is followed up with. Thank you! I'll be back!"
