"Everything about this restaurant was great from start to finish. Has soon as we arrived at the restaurant even though our table was booked for 7pm we were seated straight away. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy for a Saturday night but that wasn't a problem as it felt like we had the whole restaurant to ourselves. The waiter service was excellent you wasn't waiting a long time for your food and drinks but obviously if the restaurant was quite busy then it may have been different. We ordered our drinks to begin with the cocktails are nice. Then we ordered our starters and the mains all at the same time. Not one of us was disappointed at all, the food was great. The potato skins were really nice and the chicken wings. When the main course came the same again really nice food. I had the ribeye steak with potato wedges and peppercorn sauce. The steak was quite a reasonable size and the peppercorn sauce was really tasty with a bit of a kick to it. The food portions for both the starters and the mains were really good. I couldn't eat all of my main as it was quite filling. So overall I would recommend this restaurant you won't be disappointed. The service is great not one thing I could moan about. The food isn't expensive the prices are very reasonable. My advice would be to book a table just in case. The restaurant wasn't busy when we went but you don't want to just turn up and be disappointed if the restaurant is packed as you will miss out on some fantastic food. We will definitely return at some point for some more great food."

"went into for a takeaway chickenerquesadilla and was charged 7.50, including a small pot of acid cream. what I got home was a cheeseless dry sluice, which should not be referred to as “Authentic, mexican or food for human consumption”. I was treated as if I interrupted the Insta-Sesh of this poor woman and with what could only be described as cat food packed in a flat brot that tasted nothing to give at all. I took the time to purify them to tell them, and they answered their business phone with just one hallo that seemed to interrupt the middle of an episode of girls and if she asked if I was dealing with the business that I wanted to ring, she talked with "yes yes." I explained that eating was terrible and that it tasted as if it had the same level of “not thinking that it was going to take care of.” I explained that I never tasted anything so lifeless and poor and she just reacted to it: “Thanks for your feedback.” again I would be angry if it was my business or if I happened to be mexican with any self-respect or proud of the kitchen that was born and cultivated in my wonderful country. I know it's london and it's stoke newington and that they shouldn't appear as if they give a hand over service, but it takes the cake. I would advise everyone to leave this place as empty as I have always seen it and not disturb it. it is absolutely a waste of time and money. worst £7.50 I took a long time. pick up a dose of Cat food and wrap it with exactly three jalapeños in a soggy tortilla and save the vapid and subduing hole of mediocrity it will leave in her life."

"I seldom have cause to give a bad review. But when your food experience is still on your mind for several days, you ought to share it. We booked a table for lunch, of us. I want to give credit to the young chap...who was front of house. He served us well and was sufficiently attentive no complaints about him whatsoever. However, the alleged authentic BBQ is what I have an issue with. They claim they use their own smokehouse and their ribs, chicken and beef is smoked for I can't comment on the ribs or the chicken; my friends said both were okay'. I ordered the beef brisket. I should fess up to admit that I have toured the U.S specifically looking at BBQ, and know a thing or three about American BBQ. First off, nobody smokes brisket for hrs, or rather, you should not need to. When BBQ brisket is served, it should be dark on the outside, with a distinct red-pink ring around the edge, and a lighter coloured, tender, juicy interior. It is not normally smothered in any gravy or sauce, perhaps aside from a lick of BBQ sauce of some sort but it's always best to let the customer choose whether to or not. What I received was about small slices of beef, about the length of a middle finger, one-colour, tender-yes, but overcooked, not a hint of smoke flavour, and smothered in some sort of generic gravy. Oh, it was joined by a tablespoon quantity of coleslaw some skin-on fries and two from-frozen onion For a shade under this fell well short of expectations. The beef could have been any cut, slow cooked for several hours and smothered to add some flavour. Could have, because I don't know for certain but, if you are going to present yourself as some sort of authentic' BBQ joint, I urge you to do some more research. You don't need to fly to the U.S. There are so many venues around London now, so perhaps go and see how they're doing it. Take note that I have not merely slammed your product, I have also tried to give you constructive criticism."

"The worst restaurant in Windsor. I came here on my birthday last year and had the worst experience in a restaurant in my life. We had to wait for ages for our table, even though we had pre-booked one. Then we had to wait over twenty minutes for them to come over and ask us for our drinks orders. We were ready to order at that time so ordered our starters and mains. Our drinks came with our starters, nearly half hour after we had ordered. The drinks were watered down and the starters were not terrible, but not incredible either. We then waited for another half hour for our mains to arrive, but grew tired and hungry waiting, so in the end I had to chase up our waitress to demand where our food was because we were being ignored after waiting for ages. She told us it was going to be another twenty-thirty minutes. All she had to do was come over and explain to us in the first place that it was extra busy tonight so the food was going to take longer, but she had zero customer service skills. I asked to speak to the manager and was given the head waitress instead. We told her we were going because we could not wait any longer and we had already been seated for an hour and a half and not even received our main meals yet. She took the starters off our receipt and only charged us for the drinks. This could have been avoided if someone had the decency to explain to us what was going on. We could have then decided whether we wanted to stay and order a few more drinks while we waited for our meal, or chosen to go somewhere else. By the time this ordeal was over, it was after 10pm and too late to get into any other restaurant. In the end, we decided to go home and order Dominos. My 29th birthday was spent in a foul mood, in the worst restaurant ever without even eating there. Thanks for ruining my birthday, Charley's Horse. And thanks for retrieving it, Dominos."
